After playing the demo, Mario's better(for sure). Chu gonna Chu. Villager has some really stupid albeit hilarious shenanigans. Megaman feels underpowered but I can see people finding stuff with him(people overstated how he handles. It's just he lacks some basic stuff). Link has some strength now but is still shite.
I'd argue that Link is the best of the 5. His recovery has been improved, he has several kill moves, and his dash can kill below 100% because it's a tipper (meaning the tip of his sword is stronger than the rest).

The more pitiable Lucas gets, the more over he technically becomes.

Once the full game comes out, I'll definitely be replacing metal blade. Versatile but weak. Crash Bomb might go if there's a better alternative.

BUT HARD KNUCKLE IS AMAZING.

Winning matches with Hard Knuckle is so fulfilling, easily my favorite part of the demo. Also, Megaman's down smash (Kane's Pyro) is pretty cool. Spark Shock works very well in tandem with Air Shooter. Charge shot is difficult because it can be easily deflected or flat out ignored. And Top Spin is amazing.

Crash bomb has some possible unblock-able shenanigans going for it.

Also Slide is underrated as hell, that thing works and hits so well.

Order! Order in the court!
I like using Megaman's little pea shooter to mix up. Side tilt into grab, forces shield so you can grab 'em.

Megaman is my favorite character in the demo, my best one too. Hard Knuckles for days, Forward Smash is great. Slides for days too.

Here's all of Mega Man's customs.

It looks like you can make him not horrible with enough effort!

Probably going to swap out Metal Blade with Shadow Blade, Crash Bomb with Ice Slasher, Leaf Shield with Plant Barrier, and Rush Coil with Beat. The defaults he has are ech.

Mega Man seems like one of those "hard to master" types that put people off at first, but you'll see those niche players absolutely destroying everyone else because noone knows how to counter him.

I believe in you, Rock.

EDIT: Now taking bets for the popular palettes with tourneyfags. I put 100 Bison Buckaroos on sleepy-eye Villager.

CANCELLED MAN honestly isnt even that hard to play. He's just lacking a few things.
He is fun tho.

So apparently Duck Hunt is going to be top tier.
