I see people getting mad at Young Link. I mean, yeah, it'd be cooler to have Skull Kid... or the Happy Mask Salesman... or even Kafei, but at this point, I don't care about the character, I care about how absurdly overpowered they are. And since Link is objectively the best character in the game, Young Link has to be somewhere up there, right? |

Well when part of this game's appeal is new characters to play as, somebody you already did in MM is kind of a let-down. |

You're missing the point of this game. Hyrule warriors, like any other off shoot of the dynasty/samurai warriors game(Gundam, One Piece, etc) is just something for the fans. It goes like this. Do you like <insert character name>?! ![]() Well have at it! ![]() Tingle aside, MM Link gives you access to Fierce Deity which is a fan draw all in itself. Honestly this game goes to show you the power of the Zelda brand, Dynasty Warrior-esqe games usually don't do this well. |

I just need Groose to go like Mako right there, that's all. Or Saria/Malon (Marin?) but they are pretty much

Yeah, I'm a fan.

I never understood games like this. From the looks of that video with Zant you just button mash against hordes of enemies that die in one hit. Am I missing something? Is there some kind of technical combat, parrying, or blocking? Or is it just button mashing with little challenge? I know of a few games that are fun because you just destroy things as your favorite character, is Hyrule Warriors one of them?

I'm not a big Saria fan but it is kinda terrible they threw her out but still had a Deku weapon in the game. |

The video trailers are played on easy difficulty so they can show off the characters' movesets without difficulty. I've not played any musou games outside of Hyrule Warriors, but what I can tell you is that Hyrule Warriors is the type of game that is kind of boring to watch but that you can play for hours without realizing once you get into it. There's plenty of technicality to be found with items, trying out all the characters and their combos, exposing weakpoints, managing keeps, and deciding whether to slay enemies or rush the goal. From what I've seen, it also seems to be the type of game that you either love or hate. |
