The... Double-Triple Championship?; what am I even doing

Updating this now, it just occurred to me that Knuckles put Sonic & Knuckles one step closer to the Double Triple, but not enough to be on the chart.

Meanwhile, there's a very real possibility that the Bullies could end up here. Haggar having held the main belt, and them both in the tag scene very heavily, means that if they line themselves up a contender shot and manage to take it all the way to the belts, all that's left is for Heavy to take Casuals.

Also, I have no idea what the hell to do if Red beats Scorpion. Ness still hasn't won either at that point, so I guess it just gives Ness more legroom? :idunno:

And with tonight's passing, we have our second overall, first active VGCW TRIPLE DOUBLE CHAMPIONS!!!

Also I think Chief is the only one reading this thread.

I went to this thread right after the show. Congrats to the Mavericks, though considering their performance, Break Man could probably pull a "I am the tag team champions," right now.

And, in winning his contendership match, Arino sets himself up in prime condition to take home the third Double-Triple Championship for GCFU. Though they're probably one of my favorite tag teams of all time, I'm not sure who I'm immediately pulling for in the Casual Title match. Will Dan defend Raw Power's status as a prestigious Double-Triple Champion? Or will Arino take home the title for James and himself? TUNE INTO THIS THREAD SO YOU CAN TELL ME BEFORE I NOTICE!

AND WITH THAT, ARINO EARNS THE DOUBLE TRIPLE CHAMPIONSHIP, MEANING THAT GCFU WILL BE JOINING THE ELITE RANKS OF RAW POWER AND THE MAVERICKS TO BECOME ONLY THE THIRD DOUBLE TRIPLE CHAMPION IN VGCW HISTORY!

ALSO I WAS FIRST HA HA.

Nothing like three posts in a row, right?

Anyway, with Groose's casual title shot, I realized that if he wins, he'd be one away from a triple crown himself, but then also I thought about what would happen if the Bullies won the tag belts. Should that count for anything? Is it something that really can count for anything? I DUNNO!

In addition, I realized that Nappa now has the first case of "shit this person won the main belt and so did his partner". So, I'm just going to make them a separate line entirely with the order changed in the table. Now either one of the Sayains could win the casual belt and grab the fourth Double-Triple Championship.

Ness has been removed from PK CHU because rip.

That's all I can think of for the table. If you noticed anything I missed, let me know so I can fix that.

If the Bullies winning the belts doesn't have an arrogant Groose claiming he's the best out of a Freebird trio and parading it around like his victory then it'd be a very sad day
I say it only counts if they operate under Freebird rules, but the Bullies have always been Heavy & Haggar (I think) so probably not

I agree, Wily is definitely going to be the first Triple Crown Winner at this rate.

And with Blood Money in the books, the long-tenured team of Eggman and Wily become the fourth Double Triple Championship winners. Congratulations to The Practice!

Other news, I took out Dark Lords (who are dissolved) and Bullies (who are dissolved) and replaced them with Shadow Ball Valley and Final Fantasy III & Knuckles, both of whom are on the verge of winning it themselves. Be sure to tell me if I forgot anyone!

As an interesting little footnote, I'm not sure about this but I believe that The Practice may have set the record for longest time in limbo of having a Double Triple Championship as of far. Eggman won his VGCW title on November 19th, 2012. In between that time and last night, The Practice would capture the Co-Op Belts from GameCenter FU a month later on December 19th, 2012. Finally, just last night at Blood Money, Dr. Wily managed to capture the VGCW Casual Title, meaning that the Practice's Double Triple Championship had been completed.

That means that as a whole, from the time Eggman won the first piece to the moment Wily sealed the last, there was a gap of 3 years, 3 months and 12 days between them. That's 1199 days, for those wondering. What a story.

That's all for now!

Just bumping this thread to say that I've updated the OP with a new table. I got bored and wanted to look into some of the dates and times of stuff happening, and decided I might as well put it somewhere.

Interesting things I learned:

-As previously hypothesized, The Practice does indeed hold the record for the longest time between the first and third title required to obtain a "coveted" Double-Triple Championship, maxing out at 1199 days.

-The Mavericks earned their Double-Triple Championship in the shortest amount of time, with Break Man grabbing the Main Belt in February of 2014 at the Chamber of Elimination PPV, and The Mavericks bringing an end to PK CHU's iron grip of the tag division at End Game 9, a little under a year to the date. They completed their crown at 358 days, the quickest of any team ever.

-GCFU has the shortest time of any two belts being earned, as AVGN won his main belt on November 20th of 2012, and GCFU would capture the tag belts a month later to the date.

-Raw Power is the only team to have won its three separate titles all in different years.

Yay.
