X: Doubt
|
Got to finals of my last KotR, got 2 Super Rare AJs as a reward. I am VERY ok with this, since I was pretty desperate for a good diva that wouldn't get squashed by all the rare Natalyas and Eva Maries. Now I just need to get both maxed. |

Alright, dudes?
|
I'm on the Ultra Rare+ tier and it's been days since I've found my first and only purple card. Beginning to get fed up with it and stop playing. I know it's clearly one of those normal phone games that want to frustrate you into spending money, but micro transactions aren't my thing. So I guess I've gotten all I can out of this game. |

BOLIEVE
|
I haven't played this game, but I read through the thread and am shocked that no-one is running maxed-out super-rare Jey Uso or something like that. |

Remember last year when we were excited for this?
|
Yeah, best Jey I've found so far is normal Rare, and I'm up to getting some Ultra Rares together at this point, so yeah... Not really all that useful to me any more. That said, Jey's stats are well above Jimmy's. I find this hilarious. |

I kinda hope they add a Stable feature soon, and have stable wars, that would be cool |

So Supercard just updated with People's Champion mode and Ladder system. The Ladder system takes some randomness out of the card picks by giving out guaranteed rare/super rare/Epic/Legendary John Cena/Paige cards at a set number of matches played. People's Champion mode you pick your favorite of two wrestles (John Cena vs Brock Lesnar to start) and then play for them. The more wins you pick up the better your wrestler does in the event. Wins also give you points that increase your rank. There are also special Title Matches that give you double points. Depending on your rank you will get a prize from the pool of whichever wrestler won (If Lesnar wins, you get Lesnar/Heyman cards but if Cena wins you get Cena cards). I like this, its a neat idea, now we just need to be able to make a stable with other players and fight against other Stables, if that does become a thing, then we can make Team VGCW and start wrecking people |

So apparently TOH's joined the Cenation, since I just 2-1ed him for five points. The loss was his Epic AJ bulldozing my triple-max ladder Paige. |

It's dependent on how you match up - if your deck is a tier or more higher than the other guy, you're worth 5, if you're about the same it's 3, and if you're below it's 1. So I'm UR++ on the edge of Epic, which would make TOH High Epic or even Epic+. Of course I've run into 5s with a deck full of pay-to-win Epics and Legendaries as well, so there can be a pretty big margin. |

I've found there is no real advantage to paying for cards in this game, it only lets you blaze into higher tiers quicker, it all ends up on making sure you level your cards...and not get stuck not having a tag team because you were an idiot and fed your only semi decent left arrow to a diva be mistake and is now stuck with a rare R-truth pro. I will say this, what would be a bit better, is if your cards got exp for just being in a match, not just by giving it other cards. On the People's Champion thing is cool, I like the idea behind it, I just wonder how far they can take it, will we have more than two superstars to pick from? Say a triple threat or even a fatal four way? Also, the biggest flaw I see so far, Edge and Cristian can't get tag team bonuses, they are both left arrows I think so...the hell? So People's Champion seems to benefit decks in two different ways. At Ultra Rare and lower, it's much more beneficial to use the +1 matches to quickly grind cards to fuel yourself and dominate the King of the Ring. Get as much energy as possible and just roll through the tournament. If you push to higher ranks with +3 or even +5 you can screw over your deck pretty easily by getting a high level card to early. Good decks are built around an entire team, not a single card. At epic and legendary, it's all about pushing as hard as possible to the top. Ironically, it's much easier to get to the top at the lowest card levels than it is at higher levels. It's a counterproductive system and really works best as easy wins to fuel king of the ring victories. |
