A friend of mine on here recently got me into this game. I just picked it up today and all I can say is this game is addicting. I cannot put it down. Do you like Rhythm based games? Do you like Final Fantasy music? If you answered yes to both questions then WHY DON'T YOU HAVE THIS GAME YET?! This game not only looks incredible but as expected, sounds amazing. Hope you got free time because there are over 200 songs for you to go through. Yeah that's right. OVER 200 plus even more from DLC. If you have purchased the game what's your favorite song to go through? I would tell you mine but....there are over 200 tracks and I don't even think I'm halfway through. Also let me know what characters you use. There are over 60 so you got a wide selection. Again, if you are a fan of rhythm games and Final Fantasy then I strongly suggest you pick this game up. Let me know what you think of this game.

Remember last year when we were excited for this?
Smash took me away from this for a while, but I really need to start playing it more.

If you've played the original Theatrhythm, it's still worth picking up for a ton of reasons. It includes all of the DLC from the original game, and even more on top of that. It has new control options that let you play with the circle pad and buttons instead of the stylus if you're into that sort of thing. There is now online vs play with fun random powerups. And best of all the quest mode has been greatly expanded from two-song sets to full on quests with big maps and multiple branching paths.

As for who I'm running, I basically have two teams I alternate between. One which was just sorta the people I more or less started with, which was Zidane, Terra, Warrior of Light and Zack. But as I started getting unlocks I sorta built the FF4 team of Edge, Cecil, Rydia and Kain and have been levelling them too. Using all characters from one game and playing that game's songs is also a great way to get bonus CP if you need it.

Oh, and if you get the chance, playing the demo does give a bonus in the full game. If you have demo save data, you can choose from the main characters of every game for your initial party, rather than just the mainline games. Also Sabin's theme is in the demo, so even if you don't go on to play the full game, there's that.

Probably my favorite game on the 3ds right now, Battle 1 from Mystic Quest is easily my favorite song to play.

Theatrhythm is one of my favourite games on the 3DS for sure; I love Final Fantasy music and the rhythm gameplay is completely addictive, so yeah, I sunk a lot of time into the first, and Curtain Call.

With all the games at the tail end of last year, and in the steam sales and such, I kinda stopped playing for a while, but with the new DLC that they're in the process of rolling out? I am back onboard in a big way. Seriously, Bravely Default music? Chrono Trigger? Holy shit. And they're challenging too; some of the Bravely stuff is brutal on ultimate.

My party is Zidane, Terra, Paine and Warrior of Light at the moment; I wouldn't normally bring WoL along, but Ultimate has been kicking my ass, and his protect spells have been lifesavers.

I usually switch out 2 of my slots depending on my mood, but Terra and Rydia are always a lock for my party unless Im grinding Rythmia in which case I use the FF6 gang and grind out various FF songs.
They seem to have odd choices for some of the DLC music though, like Battle #4 for SaGa Frontier but its better then nothing I guess.

Agreed! There's only the main theme, 'Chrono Trigger' so far, but there's more promised. I'd suggest a few tracks, but honestly, that soundtrack is brilliant, and I'd be interested in just about anything they released from it. I wouldn't mind a few tracks from Cross as well though!

And it surprised me that 'Eyes On Me' wasn't in the game to begin with. I mean, it's not my favorite track from FF8, but it's iconic enough that it's omission seems really strange.

I love this game. It's one of those ones where I can pick it up, think "I'll just play a couple of songs" and end up spending hours on it instead. Music from Chrono Trigger and Bravely Default just makes it so much better for me.

I'm happy to see Wind Scene and World Revolution in there now, but I was rather hoping for Corridors of Time and Magus Confronted. Fingers crossed for next fortnight.

Welp, looks like it's time to buy a bigger SD card... just in time to need a micro SD card for the New 3DS... Micro card + Adapter works in 3DS, right?
