Man it's getting so weird with all this DLC and different packages of games, and now even a third route as DLC, feels really greedy. But so far I'm at least interested in playing Nohr, and I will decide from there what else to buy.

It does feel Greedy. But. I suppose it is essentially three different games.
Or at least I hope it's three basically different games. If it's not I'm going to feel jipped. I'll get one (Probably Nohr) and wait to see how long the post-split paths are.

I ALREADY TOLD YOU! I'M THE BEST!
I for one can't wait to have all the fire and all the emblem.

Basically if this is essentially 2 (3?) games in their own right I'll buy it all. If not I'll probably get Hoshido because I am a babby at tactics games.

Damn why did the Batista path have to be DLC, barely any games accomodate you playing a neutral character, and more morally grey characters/places/worlds tend to be way more interesting than cookie cutter black and white.

I feel like Both Sides are going to be morally grey though. Fire emblem has always been good at making at least some of the villians sympathetic.
The Batista path is probably going to wind up being the morally good one anyway where you unite the two warring kingdoms for a greater yadda yadda blah blah.

They seem to be playing one side as good and the other as evil, but considering you can side with both I'm expecting to see a lot of shades of gray mixed in.

It'll probably be like Sacred Stones except there's one option that you pay for where you just tell the twins to fuck off, which definitely would have made the game better.

I suppose neither side is good or evil, but I will go ahead and guess the third option is the conciliation for both sides (Dancina's side?).

The only guy from Nohr who looks evil is the ruler!

I kinda hope every FE game from now on has some character clearly meant to look like Lucina. Just don't even try to hide it.

I really hope they bring back the magic triangle.
Or at least make more than two people able to use dark magic.

It kind of does, but then think about like pokemon. Two parallel versions with a 3rd version coming out later down the line has been their business model since day 1. In pokemon two two initial versions are essentially the same game but if you wanted them both you'd still be paying full price. Here they are apparently two different campaigns and if you buy one you can get the second one for a discount, next to that this suddenly looks pretty good. If each individual path is around as long as Awakening like they claim I'll be happy enough. I mean going by those yen amounts, getting the second as dlc is more than a 50% discount so even if each path is like 75% of a full game that's still a reasonable overall deal.

An analysis from one of my favorite Youtube crews. Goes into great detail and even translates some of the runes that you might not been able to understand.
