*punching screen with money* DAMN IT, NO MATTER HOW HARD I THROW MY MONEY AT THE SCREEN IT WON'T COME SOONER

(also while this is mainly for the new game, may as well make it a general thread for the Battlefront Series)

Real talk, I fucking need this game in my life and hey, we could even set up community sessions or something like that (so me and Potato can mop the floor with the lot of ya :P )

Ugh.
Soooo is it a remake of the original?
If it's new, then why not call it Star Wars Battlefront 3?

No space battles, Galactic Conquest or Clone Wars era confirmed. Not to mention EA's usual "MOAR DLC"

Suffice to say they already have.

Yeah, I'm a fan.
I for one am going to judge the game when it releases and enjoy the little things, like 'nading people off of ledges to their doom.

Gonna be real honest here, the lack of a clone wars era is fine by me. I can understand it from a stance of "an imcomplete game" but at the end of the day Galactic Civil War will always be best era. Had the best movies (4, 5, 6) and is, to me, a lot more interesting. Clone Wars era always just felt "Manufactured Army 1" fighting "Manufactured Army 2". Galactic Civil War always had a better story and both sides had more personality, in my opinion. Playing as the rebels or empire was always more fun to me. Space Battles are a very minimal loss to me, because they became too formulaic after playing them four times, which made Galactic Conquest quite the drag. To me, that's the biggest loss, but from what it sounds like they've replaced those with some cool missions and stuff.

If anything, I'm hype that Split-Screen is actually in the game. I'm hyped as fuck to trash it out with Captain and take down some plastic boys, I'll tell you that right now. I'm honestly surprised it was even in the game. Can't wait to throw myself in the middle of a battle, looks like a lot of fun. I feel like a lot of my opinion is going to come down to gameplay though, because Battlefront 2 had a certain feel to it that I've never felt before in any shooting games in general (though to be fair I haven't played a lot)

All in all, I'm extremely excited to play this game, I hope they don't fuck it up, and I'm going to send Shadow running for his mommy.

Admittedly, I am being a bit too harsh considering we haven't seen any actual gameplay yet.

I'm just a bit wary that all this is going to be is Battlefield: Star Wars texture pack.

It's EA, so some caution is fair I'd say.

- 40 Player Cap.
- No Campaign.
- No Traditional Singleplayer modes.
- No Space Battles.
- No Clone Wars.
- Only 4 planets.
- Auto-Pilot AT-AT's.
- Origin (a given because EA but man fuck Origin).
- Planned DLC.

Yup, I'm not playing this.

No space battles
Literally my only deal breaker.
First they cancel Assault Squadron last year and now this.
Why cant they let me just try to emulate the old starfighter flight sims anymore?

EVEN IN YOUR RUMBLE
Guys apparently EA wants this to sell 10 million copies. To put that in perspective the numbers by the end of March had Smash 4 at 8 million when you added both consoles together. There are 30 million PS4's and Xbox One's on the market combined and EA predicts 50 million by the end of the year.

Is EA crazy?
