Duke fought Guile for the strap; it was Guile's only defense. Edited by HereComesTheChief, May 6 2015, 06:36 AM.

He also unsuccessfully challenged Segata in season 5. Failing in the season 7 chamber match I believe makes him the first. |

Actually Ezio was the first; He challenged Ganondorf for the VGCW Championship and came close. He challenged Waluigi for the Casual Championship and also came up short. The Elite Two challenged Gerudo Skies and won by Disqualification, therefore not winning the title. Ezio, Duke, Sonic & Barret are the only wrestlers to get a shot at each belt and come up short. I think you're forgetting about someone: -He went up against Dr. Eggman and Ezio in a triple threat in the first archived VGCW Broadcast for the VGCW Championship -He and Egoraptor went up against Team Fortress in the finals of the tournament to crown the first Co-Op Champions -He went up against Red for the Casual title So basically, JonTron is a grommet, not Swood at all as a wrestler. |

I updated the OP to include an Anti Triple Crown table and any inactives. Inactives have their names italicized to differentiate them and the Anti Triple Crown is only going to include people who've won it. I would've added WVGCW, but that would probably be better off having it's own thread. |

Good work Fella, here's hoping we can see the first triple crown champion soon (still holding out for the ).And nice job on the Anti-Triple Crown chart. I'm always up for recognizing (God rest his heat generating soul ;_;7) even if it isn't entirely positive.

Sounds Like A Bodacious Time

Does losing the belt count as losing a title match? If so, Guile, Red and Eggman could be on the Unholy. I'm not too hot on that one though. |

No, you can't be on the anti-crown if you've held a belt. |

Okay, here's some analysis on the chances of the active contenders of winning the Triple Crown trifecta: NOTE: All power rankings are as of 5/11/2015. Ganondorf Current Power Ranking: #10 Needs: Casual Chances: No. Put Mr. "Thousand Years of Darkness" in a Casual match? The booking would have to be literally brain dead for that to happen, no matter how much of a slump Ganon gets into. And Ganon seems to be booked VERY carefully to keep his mystique intact. Nappa Current Power Ranking: #1 Needs: Casual Chances: No. Nappa's just way too much of a mastodon to fall into the midcard long enough to get booked in a casual contender's match. Plus, he's the guy who brought down Scorpion, even if it was through a cash-in. Waluigi Current Power Ranking: #47 Needs: VGCW Title Chances: Very unlikely. Waluigi's the ultimate wild card of the VGCW; sometimes he's just lousy, but other times he beats someone he has no buisiness beating. Probably the only way he'd get even a sniff of the title scene is if he wins a Rumble, but if he does, who knows if the cards will fall in his favor. Red Current Power Ranking: #36 Needs: VGCW Title Chances: Unlikely. Red's pretty much solidly established as midcard by this point. Every chance he gets to hang with the big dogs (like versus Ganondorf or Scorpion) ends badly for him. Air Man Current Power Ranking: #16 Needs: VGCW Title Chances: Unlikely. Coming off of his big run as Casual Champion, he looked unstoppable in singles. Losing to Ezio and Octodad took the luster off his shine, though. Unless he turns his singles career around, he's liable to get stuck in midcard hell. If he wins a Rumble in the future, though, he might have a chance... Proto Man Current Power Ranking: #26 Needs: Casual Title Chances: Maybe. Protoman's been in a bit of slump, but beating Wario might be the end of it. If no other Casual contenders emerge, there's a possibility he could get booked into a Casual match. After all, Donkey Kong got a casual shot while in his slump. Vegeta Current Power Ranking: #23 Needs: Casual Title Chances: Maybe. Vegeta's sort of in the same position as Break Man; an upper-midcarder coming off a slump. There's an outside possibility of him getting a Casual Shot, but he's also likely to get pushed further up. Arino Current Power Ranking: #5 Needs: VGCW Title Chances: Good. Arino has just come off of a Casual Championship with a good record in the power rankings. Arino also has a reputation as a wild card who's usually midcard but can sometimes keep up with the big guys. Dan Current Power Ranking: #9 Needs: VGCW Title Chances: Good. Dan is in the same position as Arino as a former Casual Champion with a high ranking. With a good win against a solid opponent, he could break into the top card like Barret has. Eggman Current Power Ranking: #43 Chances: Good. Eggman had a recent opportunity to take the Triple Crown, and he's probably in the best position to do so at the moment. He's improved his singles game to become a force in the midcard, and he's already got his Co-Op and VGCW titles. He's likely to get another chance sooner or later. All he has to do is win the matches. Edited by Wyvernil, May 12 2015, 10:04 PM.

I have a question, we all want to see somebody get the triple crown. But when somebody does get it, does it come with any extra prestige? Or say Eggman or Proto gets it, will we just say "Woo that's awesome" and move past it? I'm just wondering how much weight this sort of accolade really has. It's got some, just not sure how much. |
