So with the splatoon direct earlier today I figure now is a good time to start this thread. What do you guys think about the Game? |

looks fun, finally gonna get to try it with the free demo (that you should download now) that will be playable Friday from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. EST, Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m |

Before the direct: maybe I'll get it. After the direct: alright I'll get it. There's my thoughts in brief. Alright alright I guess it goes deeper than that. Competitive multiplayer with custom loadout stuff? I'll bite into that. When it has an urban japan setting theme? That just makes it so much sweeter. |

Anyone try the demo hour that just happened? I made it a point to try all four weapons. My favorite wound up being the Splattershot Jr., but I saw a lot of Splat Rollers out there finding success too. Can't feel the sniper rifle (forget the proper name) works too well with me, feels too limited. I like having a good deal of options available, and the Jr. having a shield and delayed bombs that are good for crowd control fits me quite well. Looking forward to the full game, I think I'll probably wind up grabbing it. Only question is if I jump in right at launch or not. |

I was a roller. The guns didn't feel right to me and since time was limited and I didn't want to spend that time learning how the guns worked, I stuck with rolling rolling rolling rolling. |

I faced so many fucking rollers. Sometimes they squashed us, sometimes we squashed them. I used the Splattershot Jr the whole time. Fun times. |

I tried everything but the sniper since I didn't feel confident enough in the controls yet, rollers are definitely strong, but they get wrecked by guns in open area of course, your team needs a balance I'd think. |

I feel like rollers are going to be good very early on, but they won't be as viable in the long term. The big issue is their reliance on close range. As players get more experienced, you'll have more players with guns who can handle the range better. Rollers won't be able to do as much against it. Plus rollers running into rollers means both die. But a gun could take them without dying. It's very versatile. We'll see how things shake up. |

I loved the turret thing the rollers got for their power-up. I was able to take out groups of enemies from far away with that thing. Didn't see much of the other power-ups so I don't know how they work. |
