Looking at the static footage, it looks like someone is holding...

a belt.

That makes sense because the belt WarioWare found on the beach had a huge chunk taken out of it. We passed it off as a hungry shark but maybe it's something more sinister.

This island is creepy and something is happening. I want to go home now.

FITS YOU BETTER HURRY UP OVER THERE
It was up early this morning, just not on the playlist because I can't edit it at work and youtube is dumb about setting uploads to a playlist. Check the videos tab if TOH hasn't got to it already.

It's funny how so many promising newcomers come to VGCW and lose their debut matches. It goes to show how rough the competition is.

On the opposite side you get people like Dante and Kanji who rip through everybody even though expectations for them weren't nearly as high.

I dunno, Kanji's expectations were kinda high-ish. Dante had his past career as baggage though, and even if he didn't, I still don't think people would have expected him to kill it as much as he has.

Don't get me wrong people didn't expect them to be failures. I just think they went far beyond people's expectations. They both had title shots within their first 5 matches. Nobody expected them to be massively topcard.

To be fair to Demoman, he's not someone I'd say is known particularly for winning; he's known for putting on incredible matches.

I'd say his debut was a total success!

Demoman has a unique ability to make not only himself, but his opponent look like a 5-star performer.

Remember, how many people gave a toss about Guybrush before his match with Demoman? He put on a classic with him, and the ball just started rolling, and now he's in VGCW. Everyone Demo fights looks like a champion. For his first match here, he went up against a guy known for putting on decent, but not spectacular matches, and they both came out looking fantastic. Kefka looked brilliant out there.

I'm excited to see who else can have their inner match quality dragged out by Demoman. Wrestlers we assume to be dull or slow can be brought to memorable matches when paired up against him. We could get MOTN's out of Sonic, or Nappa, or Octodad. The winner doesn't matter as much, but I expect Demo to start racking up victories pretty soon. He wasn't the strongest in EDBW, but he was always around the upper midcard.

Just let me know when he goes for that other lawyer Edgeworth always went on about while they were both in development. Demo v Wright would be absolutely GOAT.

Demoman is a unique case and is a man all his own. He wrestles REALLY good, sometimes he wins, sometimes he loses, but he ALWAYS looks like a champ.

No for real could he fight Octodad or Goemon, Demoman could have an amazing role as the guy who brings out the best in people, kinda like Illidan but slightly better. He can make slow guys look like champs, and hell if he CAN'T make them look great, then I guess that tells us a lot about who he's fighting at the time.
