More sizzle than a rasher of bacon.

Is 2 matches and a rumble in 7 episodes considered little? They both got a couple of plotscenes, too... |

Not to mention the fact that Dante was a huge part of the last few seasons. Even if he is taking a backseat, if anyone should, it's him. I don't get the feeling that there's anyone who has been underrepresented in this season, honestly. Everyone who isn't THE main event shows up every couple of episodes. That's how the WWE worked during its most popular era. The only people I can think of who have been overly scarce have been Red and Illidan, and that's been explained in plot. |

I do find it strange that someone like Dante hasn't had a singles match this season, but he's been plenty present. EDIT: Going through the match history, it's really balanced with regards to representation in matches. The only one who I can tell is lagging behind is Illidan, but that's plot stuff. Booking has been the best it's been in a very long time, everybody has shown up at least twice in the first 7 episodes, there was once a time where we would go 8 shows without somebody showing up. |

Balanced representation is always a chief concern, but some people flicker in and out based on demand, angles, recent record, and general circumstance. It's relieving that you guys seem alright with it so far, but I do worry about who might be getting the proverbial shaft sometimes. I often look at how Raw wastes a three-hour timeslot and glower in quiet bemusement. |

I've been absent for a few seasons. Are Submissions totally turned off, now? I don't think I saw anyone so much as try one the last three shows. |

Submissions have been turned off, yeah. Mostly because submission finishers are rather broken in 2K14, among other factors. |

So noted. Again, no complaints, just curiosity. As for actual matches, going in with a -somewhat- clean take on the characters, (I mean, I do remember the ones from back when I watched regularly) Nothing really upset me. Groose's win was really, really good and made him look like the main event champion that I remember. Tag Team was enjoyable. Sabin/Cage ALSO was fun. Made Sabin look crazy strong, because Cage had to fight a bonafide Monster to get to him. So I think if anyone is actually mad, they're just butthurt their favorites lost. Actual content feels like the show I remember. ~~~~ Incidentally, I didn't leave because I thought the show got stale or anything. I had a job that was taking up a lot of my time, and when it comes down to it, even though I LIKE watching this program, a two to three hour exploration of AI fighting is one of the things I can sacrifice if real life crops up. Is Bazza on the creative team at all anymore, or did he completely retire? You guys made it sound like the show is more of a group effort with TOH being the main.. uh.. .director? |

TOH's the main guy doing VGCW, he has a group of fellows who aid him writing the show. Bazza still around in his limo, looking at people with binoculars and laughts at them. No seriously, Bazza doesn't directly work on the show anymore but he shows up from time to time, moderating stuff, participating in conversations. |

Bazza is completely retired. TOH works with a few others to create the show, but he's still the main guy. |

Having them also meant the other wrestler could use them too, and normal submissions are really, really powerful in '14 and can be spammed. Nothing like having someone attempting to get billed as a submissions expert tapping out to a chinlock or an ab-stretch halfway through the match. Edited by Justin_Brett, Sep 10 2015, 09:00 PM.

Sounds like it might have made a few too many matches end abruptly without being satisfying. Submissions got dumped because they weren't very attentive to the needs of the audience. |

Let's be real, if Zubaz was in that rumble he'd probably show up at like 39 and somehow win. That just sounds like the kinda dumb luck thing that would happen |
