I could be mis-remembering, but I recall that the TJE and Kanji matches stipulated that they happen on the next show. Personally, I'd rather the title shots happen immediately on the first show. It's what we were told we would get, it puts a nice bow on the Bazza booking and gives us an official fresh slate, and allows the show to start out on a really fun and hype note. It's silly to act like it's hard to create a contender. While I get why you'd be concerned with oversaturation, there's no hard and fast rule that says we can only have a rumble match, EC, or a KOTR every five months or whatever.

Thinking back, easily the most memorable contender's match for me was the popular vote Elimination Chamber. It let the viewer have some input, resulted in a pretty unconventional yet surprisingly hype list of contenders, and gave us a contender who would probably never get a whiff of the title outside of a rumble match otherwise. We should do more of that.

And some specific jabronis shouldn't stuff the ballots like they did last time, 'cause c'mon son.
Ok then it happens next show, sure

The 'hard to create a contender' thing is only for regular contender matches really, but some of the better title and contender matches have come from waiting for wrestlers to be built up and get on a roll. I always use Phoenix VS Scorpion VS Snake and Guile VS Bowser as examples for how great those buildups can be, and those buildups happen when we give the title and contenders matches a little time to breathe. Rumbles and Chambers can't be overused (shown by how when Nappa as champ didn't have strong contenders we had a Rumble, then when Guile was champ we couldn't just have another Rumble) and all I'm saying is that when we've waited, or properly built to title matches it's been really great and it's something I personally would like to see more of - but in the end it's all up to TOH

I loved that particular Chamber too but mostly because it was all buildup. We had the week of voting, which was amazing, then the episode where Octodad got left out after the tables match, then a Beat-the-Clock episode, then the next week a Contender's match at a mini-ppv with a stacked card. The only thing that was really missing was any plot addressing it (apart from a Kefka/Scorpion interview, and in the end missing plot didn't even matter as it was hype enough anyway) but that was buildup to a contenders match done really really well, and time allowed Guile to completely establish himself as a contender to be feared by the time the next contender's match came around

We've never seen you do anything with characters before, so I kinda have to give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure you'll do great.

(Can you make it so Wario stops referring to himself in the third person, he doesn't do that.)

Oh I trust you. I trust you will give everyone the Immortal DDT6 as their finisher, just like the good old days. And Eggman stands as the God King of VGCW as the #MasterPlan rolls on.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Well you say that, but when Gief got an opportunity by turning heel, he did do a lot with it.
however unlike say Ezio
Gief is physically unable to put on a good match
he barely did anything in the 6 man at Endgame and still somehow brought the quality down, despite Zubaz and Layton's best efforts to save it
Sadly Falcon doesn't have that either...
say Ezio, could you...lend Falcon your ability to put on amazing shows even in losing please?
at least that would be something
Toad v. Gief and to a lesser extent Zubaz v. Gief were both great matches and you can't deny that. Judging someone on performance in a 6-Man tag is dumb. Ganondorf and Dracula were kind of meh in the tag department but they're both respected guys who have a fair share of awesome solo matches.

Toad vs. Gief was amazing, and Gief's performance since his heel turn has been hilarious and consistent with his new shitheel persona. I know that because he got plot your favorite guy _____ didn't but you could make that argument about anyone who got plot, and frankly VGCW needs strong heel plot because strong heels are in very short supply. The only guy who garners near as much vitriol these days is Guile.

Man, what is it about Street Fighter. Their main antagonist is a scrappy babyface and the two hero characters are the most reviled characters in the company.

NOPE.
As an actual wrestler Gief wasn't TOO bad last season. Not good or anything but passable. However, if I remember right I think he was booked in either plot or in a match for every single episode in Season 11 except for two. That's...not good. Like, at all. Even ignoring the debate on how if it can be considered spiteful booking towards people that aren't fans of the guy or if its just marks getting worked, booking a wrestler to appear on over 90% of a season's episodes is extreme.

If it were a comprehensive season long plot then yeah okay I can understand that. But every time Gief got out of a feud he immediately jumped into another separate one where he was the star and he did the majority of the speaking.

True, but on the other hand, Gief hadn't had any real plot or matches for a good few seasons straight. I understand why, when he was getting the first bit of actual momentum in about a year, Bazza would have wanted to capitalise on it. Also, showing up in small, funny plot scenes once an episode was hardly punishment for us, he's funny as a heel. He DID have four straight episodes in a row of matches that one time, though.

Basically, let him get back to settling in with his new heel role, showing up in more matches than he did in Season 8 and 9, and showing up less than he did in Season 10. A good middle ground.
