I wonder. We all know Bazza's stance on the topic, but whats TOH's opinion on the "NEEDS TO BE VIDJA" debate. Are The Saiyans and Arino still in the grandfather clause? Is TOH more willing to put the iffier of CAW's in the show? :idunno:

I assume TOH left it up to be decided by the fans since there was a question about the use of non video game characters on the survey.

In my personal opinion, I think it's a pandora's box that should be peered into just a bit. I'm not so sure the primary two shows are the place to do it, though. Perhaps EDBW?

Yeah, if we want to give it a try, we should start with EDBW. So that anime CAWs learn vidya-style wres or something.

Although I'm not sure who could qualify. Should we go with globally known and acclaimed anime/manga first (Naruto/One Piece/etc.) or more recent works that seem to work a lot right now (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill, etc.)? People seem to like the nostalgic CAWs more when it comes to anime/cartoon, so I'm not sure it's safe to start with the second group I've mentioned... Then again, look at ARENA's roster.

Probably let Piccolo trickle back into EDBW, if I wanted to go that route. I personally wouldn't, but might as well test the waters.

I dunno how well it goes for western animation either, since Scrooge was only in EDBW cause of his Capcom game (and his kickass soundtrack cause holy shit that moon theme). I don't expect someone like Darkwing Duck or Chip and Dale as a tag team in EDBW.

If we stretch into the realm of not vidya then I'd like to see characters from comics, if anything. Mostly because I want to see my boy Captain America. Also because I know Dudebro likes comics.

NOPE.
I'd say something mainstream and popular like Kill la Kill or Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is as anime as any character should ever get, otherwise things become way too obscure and the likelihood of a toxic chat exponentially increases. So for people like Dio Brando, Satsuki Kiryuin, Ryuko Matoi and Nonon Jakuzure (the latter two of which have gotten pretty strong favorable reactions in ARENA), I can see something there, but if you get into the deep stuff then it's not worth the known immediate backlash. Comic characters should probably try to have some sort of obvious video game tie-in like She-Hulk or former VGCW superstars The Hulk and Dr. Doom. People like Deadpool seem like solid characters to take a chance on.

And if there is a branching out into other realms, then Korra should be the first wrestler hired.

Ash Williams of Evil Dead fame has a new TV Series coming out so he should be in.

I feel like at this point there is such a wealth of good non-video game caws that saying "hey they should be in VGCW" is kinda a waste. A separate new Anime/Comics/Cartoons/EVERYTHING ELSE Division or Show feels like a better idea (if possibly too ambitious).

But wherever you can make a case for them deserving a spot in EDBW/(W)VGCW, like Strong Bad, Hatsune Miku, Korra or whoever, then I say go for letting them in that instead of the non-vidya fed.

Fully agree with Giga/Meka on this one. The "separate" federation idea was on the survey (I think), and I feel that would be the best option here for all of this. I don't feel it's fair to have lines upon lines of video game characters waiting that could potentially be called up get passed up in favor of what could honestly just turn out to be a novelty character who's only allure is "I'm not from video games! Yay!"

A new show exclusively for this would eliminate this problem, and give all those characters a fair chance to shine in their own environment that is dedicated to them. It would serve them better in the long run, especially since I feel plot would develop better for them since most anime characters (and cartoon/movie/tv show/comics/literature/historical/real life?/board game/fast food representative advertisements/any thing inbetween) generally have more complex and developed characters. And like Meka said, if one of them actually does get extremely over, then sure, throw them in EDBW.

A rose, by any other name...
I wonder if having another wrestling show is particularly wise, however. I mean, do we put in the Friday slot? That's already a death slot comparatively, and now that EDBW has plot, it and WV will both have to deal with pacing issues enough as it is, without tossing another show in there to further widen the gap between airings.

I dunno, maybe it alternates with Arena, instead, but either way, there's a point where we hit a saturation limit, so 'do another show' doesn't strike me as a solution without its own problems.
