I feel that having 5 Long-Running Shows (RIP At Home ;_;) is probably overdoing it a little bit; some people already have enough trouble keeping up with some of the shows, and is there really that big of a demand for something like that? (I might be mistaken on that last point, feel free to correct me if so.) I don't really have an opinion on non-game characters (besides Strong Bad, TOH pls) being allowed to join the shows, but we already get enough people shouting "WHO!?!?!?!" whenever someone "obscure" debuts (stop doing that!); perhaps someone like Jotaro Kujo or Deadpool could get away with it, but I would probably want to see Video Game Characters above all else. I dunno, I'd rather pour time and resources to what we got already, we're in a good spot with what we have at the moment I think. |

I think Strong Bad having his own point and click video game series and small online games is enough to make him acceptable as a video game representative. Currently the furthest away from video games in VGCW is probably the Saiyans, they probably wouldn't be accepted into the company nowadays. Edited by Cheer This Dan, Jul 26 2015, 07:11 AM.

You could always use the Saiyans breaking off to start and lead the Anime division. But as people complain that WWE has too much programming, adding more shows would most likely send VGCW down that same road. |

Yeah, the whole situation about anime and co. appearing on the show is really iffy. I mean, you COULD make an argument about stuff that has a fairly big and blooming videogame series OR those that may not have many games, but entered it fairly early nonetheless (like Dragonball, or say, JoJo). But that would, and in my opinion, should be the limit, because anime CAWs would tear the chat apart on a Borderlands-scale, considering the rising sentiment against weebs and such currently. |

You all have valid points. Yes, if we have a federation for Anime Characters, Comic Book characters etc. it would eliminate issues with them not fitting with the theme of "Video Game Characters" and less salt from the crowd for not fitting the mold, them not knowing who a character is, being made a video game character could have been called up or whatever upsets the fans this weeks. On the other hand, making a new federation means more work for the crew and they would have to schedule for the show, making more CAWS, more scripts, more decisions being made and more work in general. As Prozach pointed out, obscure characters are not going to be loved by the crowd. Comics are a niche thing, it's fun and I like them but they are niche. Only a relatively small number of people read comics compare to mainstream. Anime is better as it isn't niche but it isn't quite mainstream yet either with a few exceptions of particular shows rather than anime as a whole. Either way I am confident and trust TOH and the VGCW team. They haven't failed us yet and I am sure they will know what to do. |

I love what guys make and do but I couldn't watch another show, especially if it's just a rejects show; we're not sure how people would react so here they have their own show. ARENA fills that niche just fine. |

I don't think those games make Strong Bad anymore of a video game character than the Saiyans, who feature prominently in a plethora of fighting games, or Korra, who was just in a recent 3D action game, or Shinji Ikari, who's been in a few dating sims. I think it's best not to split hairs on what is and isn't a video game character. |

If we had a split-off show for non-video game source characters, it would have to do something fairly unique. The only thing that I could think of would be that it's taken seriously ala an anime plot; characters are from their respective universes and forced to wrestle in order to further their various plotlines. But that would make it even more of a niche appeal, if fantastic fanservice for those familiar with the characters, and would require an incredibly strong writer or writing team. It's an idea that should be discussed, and maybe a top rep could, once a year, be shown into EDBW for actual consideration to a main show or the developmental. Make it more of a definite self-enclosed thing with a 'just maybe' attached to the end. I have full faith in that we'd have a fully functional and enjoyable show out of that. That said I mostly just want to see Dio Brando punch people in the face and have various excuses for STOPPED TIME, so I'm a bit biased toward that idea. It's not necessary, but it could be cute if taken in a different direction than the 'entirely by fan' direction of Arena, the traditional workings of VGCW and WVGCW, and the developmental fun of EDBW. |

Max, you watched this show for quite a time and you have said lot of interesting stuff in the past. So I'm pretty sure you should have good guess of what kind of disaster that will brought upon if anime character gets called up. |

Okay, so Super Robot Wrestling. The plots are between pilots. The battles are between machines. |

I feel like this debate could easily take place in a new topic dedicated to it. This isn't exactly Season 11 discussion any more. |

This is the third goddamn time in this single thread I'm changing the topic. Once suggestion thread opens up, discuss there. Next time it happens again, I'm just going to post Botchamania gifs and tell people to move on. I'm wondering about the stinger on the first episode, where the main belt was lying on the beach. I figure new belts with new logo will be made, but I'm curious if some |

I don't think that was a stinger. More of a brick joke since it was mentioned earlier that the belts were lost so I don't think it really meant anything. If it does then it's washing all the way to the EDBW building so Liqid can pick it up to taunt his brother more with. |

Order! Order in the court!

Screw it, topic is being changed and I wanted to talk about non-vidya characters, so I made the thread here to discuss it somewhere else. Hopefully it isn't a complete disaster of a thread, because this one would be my first thread. On-topic, the belt will probably be picked up by Haggar while cleaning the trash on the beach. |
