Ladies Love it.
Well he helped Dracula fight off the robots at EG8.
He and Drac got wrecked but, it's pretty facey.

Most of his face heat is riding off of Making Sagat quit, because going into that, Sagat was 200% heel and had major x-pac, so Bison was face by default.

Well, there was a reason Bison was put into an I Quit to begin with, people thought he was boring, awful in the ring, and was just more Street Fighter. I imagine he wasn't thrilled by what people were saying about him.

As far as the robots are concerned. "Hey Bison you beat a robot once, can you distract one while I try and fix this?" "K."

What a face.

Bison's never really done much in plot but everything he has done was face related:
Speared the fuck out of Sagat during his match with Scorpion (and Sagat was clearly the heel going into that match)
Did a Cheeky 7-1 Joke against Sagat, which clearly established him as the face in that feud. Then he beat Sagat, life went on and he beat a Robot. He then tried to hold them back in a backstage brawl and that's the extent of his plot outside of a throwaway mention on WVGCW a couple weeks ago.
Considering Wily/Eggman/The Masters were the major antagonists of the seaon and the fate of the world was at stake, I'd say Bison attempting to stop them was totally a face move.

Yeah, just blend Raul Julia Bison with animated Bison and bam. Perfect concoction.

Bison wouldn't really work as a proper heel anymore. Who the hell is going to boo him? He WOULD work as a dramatic, over-the-top heel like The Practice or Kefka, but trying to turn him proper heel would just result in a Ganondorf situation where we're all pulling on his cheeks going "D'awwww, he's so big and bad and scary!" because we just love him too much to be afraid.

The fact that we've managed to completely invalidate any intimidation from GANONDORF and M. BISON, but are able to take Dr. Willy/Eggman or Kefka as serious threats says a LOT about VGCW as a whole.

The robots were actually one of the biggest threats in the entirety of VGCW's run since it ultimately led to the creation of Nightmare Gabe. We were indimidated by the robots because noone was defeating them. Then Bison stepped up and defeated Wario Man which ultimately solidified him as the face we needed. He then actually made an attempt to stop them at End Game in his cameo appearance which means he was fighting for us and that's very face like.

Bison wouldn't have been thrilled about the I-Quit but it wouldn't be in his character to whine and moan about it. Instead he stepped the fuck up, killed Sagat and then started putting on 5 star classics with whoever he was up against.

A Guile/Bison feud would be so interesting because of the similarites. Guile turned on us because we thought he was boring. Bison stepped it up for us because we thought he was boring.

"Yes, yes, you're angry and bitter because the crowd though you were boring. The crowd thought I was boring too but you don't hear me whining about it!" Bison can be a great face!

Bison being a hardworking, charismatic face who lives for the crowd would be an awesome alignment for him. Bowser's the closest thing we have to a Large Ham character, but he's a heel. Dan is sort of like that but he's humbled recently so I can't call him that anymore. It's a niche not really occupied by anyone.
Don't make him into Raul Julia Bison. Make him Raul Julia.

Now entering the upper card, home to some familiar faces, a breakout new star, and someone who really needs to be booted out of here by now.

15: Phoenix Wright

14: Senator Armstrong

13: Break Man

12: Mike Haggar

11: Barret Wallace

Almost done.. just ten more to go.

One of reason why I think momentum rankings represent characters better than power rankings. Power Ranking is too reliant on "strength', or ranking of opponent.

Well Barret does have a pretty good track record of winning when a title's not on the line, it's not like he's gotten there undeservingly.

A rose, by any other name...
The biggest 'problem' with Barret is that whenever he got some random match in middle of the card against someone who SHOULD win against him and knock him down the rankings, he invariably decides to just beat their ass instead.

Remember when he squashed the hell out of Snake? That always seems to happen with Barret. What do you do if he's not good enough to win when it counts, but still good enough to win basically every other time?

Maybe he should fight someone that isn't Snake, though. Hell, I'd love to see him against someone bulkier than him. The closest we've gotten to that in the past year is Air Man. Haggar, Bowser, DK, or Hell, Heavy would be neat.
