LabZero's next project has been announced:

Quote:

Indivisible is a new action/RPG IP, starring Ajna (AHZH-na), a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest she’ll be joined by a variety of unique heroes and gain new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they’ll encounter along the way.

Indivisible is inspired by classics like Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid, but with the unique characters and gameplay depth Lab Zero is known for. In addition to a fresh spin on action/RPG gameplay, Indivisible features a deep storyline inspired by southeast Asian and other world mythologies, Lab Zero’s trademark feature-quality 2D hand-drawn animation, and a lush soundtrack from legendary Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.

Indiegogo campaign will be up soon. I, for one, am very excited.

Indie games that don't need some kind of crowd-funding campaign seem to be becoming rarer and rarer lately.

I want my physical rewards from the skullgirls indiegogo before I even think about giving them another cent.

As much as I've been willing to carry these guys on pedestals for powering through the development for Skullgirls, I'm going to be as reserved as I usually am. If there's gameplay footage and I like it, it gets my money. Simple as.

Why spend thousands of your own saved up dollars, risking a lot, when you could do up a nice looking campaign and get the funding for your project as well as get the word out that your game is in development

I stopped crowd-funding after Mighty No. 9. This is one of those game I might buy when it is actually out. Skullgirls had unque artstyle and this has potential.

You didn't yet? I got everything I pledged for except for one thing which I know will take time.

EDIT: Silly me, it's the sketches right? Yeah, it has been a while.

Oh, cool. Then there shouldn't be any problems then.

Daily reminder that Mike Z is the people's champion.

Daily reminder that Mike Z is the people's champion.
He and LZ were completely transparent about Skullgirls development, which was cool, so I can only assume they'll continue that trend with Indivisible.

Just like Skullgirls had Salty Cupcakes and random animation/palette coloring streams, I fully expect Indivisible have dev streams and feedback crop up the whole time. This is why I'm more invested in this than Bloodstained which didn't have anything to show but some concept art.

Mike said yesterday that he wants to do that but isn't sure he can.

Yeah, Mike mentioned over on the forums that he's gonna try to push for another stream time thing, but to do so requires permission from the publisher now that they have someone actually funding the project besides fans. Plus it's harder to show development on something that would be as story heavy as this game is apparently going to be. We can hope though.

EDBW's Iron Tager needs some Mike Z references, maybe in his intro.

Back on topic, seeing something new from Labzero is nice, even though I don't care too much about the genre. (Only played Guacamelee since I'm a scrub, but enjoyed that).

Looking forward to the demo/prototype.
