One of the big things I'm getting here that seems to be easy and impactful is PR stuff. I'll discuss with the others, we'll see what can be done on that end of things. Appreciate all the feedback, everyone, this is great insight. |

There's a lot that's been said already but I'd definitely agree that the biggest thing is just getting the name out. I'm one of the people who's here because of the Best Friends Zaibatsu, if Zubaz hadn't been in Star Road 2 there's an extremely high chance I'd have still never heard about vgcw and that's a huge shame. One thing on the PR front I'd suggest that I don't think currently exists is making some sort of what is VGCW video. There is currently the forum thread for that (though it still lists Bazza's channel so it probably needs some updating) but a video would be a lot be a lot more conducive to some of the ideas anyway, rather than just talking about what characters we have show off the CAWs, show some memorable spots maybe even some small chunks of plot that can be entertaining on their own. You know, at one point a while ago I was considering making a video that gave a history of the VGCW Championship, all the way from Hulk to Dracula. Problem is that I would probably need ingame footage of the former champions outside matches to make it a documentary style, and I have neither a capture card nor CAWs of the champs. |

Listen, if anyone wants to REALLY know the history of any of this, that place would be the wiki. However, it's in need of a re-haul or re-imagining that I don't think anyone would even care about if I put the effort in to do. |

Well... what do we need to do to make people care enough to make the Wiki actually worth using? |

Yeah that would be nice and all, but seeing as no video of 'Season Zero' exist as far as I'm aware, it would be nearly impossible to do it |

I really like this idea. Following the lineage of VGCW's title would be a pretty great primer video for new people. It's not about the history so much as having a convenient backdrop to display the diversity of the characters and explain to people what the fuck is going on. I don't think anyone's reading the wiki who isn't already somewhat invested in the show and I doubt any amount of improvement will fix that. I don't read wikis for shows I don't watch. |

I can get behind this, I always love a good Rumble, and it is our All-Star Game, after all... ![]()
I like this idea too, although now that I think about it, can submission moves even be tweaked? |

32 Man King of the Ring (#1 Contendership or whatever) please and advertise the fuck out of that shit. The people loved that stuff back in the day. A tournament is literally one of the easiest things to explain with no former knowledge required. And this would be a big one that'd show off the roster, let them all get their entrances, decent ring time, and allow new stories to build. |

Don't you dare wave this idea in my face when it'll never happen. Now I really want it and I'll never have it... |

NOPE.
|
From a technical standpoint, 16 entrants is the maximum one King of the Ring will allow in the game. Technically you could do 2 separate tournaments, but you couldn't do a 32 man in one go. |

Jumping off of what Max said here, I think most of the naturally formed in-jokes are fine, but the ones relating to "At Home" should probably not expand any further. No offense intended, but "At Home" was the furthest extremity of VGCW, non-canon, infrequent, and it didn't even have wrestling. That's the kind of thing that would be very hard for a new viewer to connect to, especially since (IIRC) it's not even on the wiki. It'd also be the most difficult and time-consuming to catch up with, seeing as how they'd have to watch a whole Sims stream unless someone else goes and marks every relevant highlight in each episode. It's probably the source of the most esoteric jokes and references as well, such as Duke Nukem dating Cooking Mama, Waluigi loving Table-san and Terra, Table-san having any body or history beyond "announcer table we feel bad for because it gets broken so frequently", Arino and Vegeta being gay, etc. Those are likely huge "Wait, what?" moments for new viewers, and since they'd most likely be here for wrestling they probably wouldn't want to catch up on stuff in The Sims. |

Since the idea stemmed from At Home, there isn't anything at all deep behind Duke and Mama being couple, hence why I never elaborated during WVGCW at any point. In fact, for all intense and purposes (and to avoid brain damage while booking) At Home doesn't exist, so you don't need information. As for following along week by week: Sure VGCW doesn't have the benefit of a commentary team or production crew to hammer every point down our throats the second after it happens during the show. But I don't think it needs it. At worst you may be a bit lost, but we have plenty of stop-gaps after big matches where viewers can get caught up. At best you can ask a person in chat or in the forums after the show to help fill you in. We may not be the best at telling stories, but we're not going to tell them to you like you're children. |

A single elim bracket doesn't have to be done in one go with the in game KOTR. It's easy to maintain. |

The At Home in-jokes, I thought they'd be a nice callback for those who did watch that show. It's not like I'm totally being reliant on it, but it's a show I'm proud of, and I want to "reward" those who were loyal in following it. I'm not trying to shut out those who didn't see it or demand they catch up with it, that's completely unreasonable. It's just a little shout-out as a bit of thanks to those who kept up with my stupid little show back then, because it meant a lot when people were into it. I'm proud of that, there's no way I'm going to just totally bury it. (Also there is one more callback coming, so fair warning) I do have plans for a tournament this season, but 32's overboard. That's 31 matches. Unless we had them on speedier settings over the course of two weeks, it wouldn't be feasible. 16 could either be one night of speedy matches or 2 nights of regular-length matches. That's a little more flexible. |
