Yeah, now that I think about it, an FAQ would certainly help with some of the more common questions a newcomer might have upon seeing the madness that is VGCW.

Well, this is more like a suggestion, and I think it's too late for it. Anyways.

Can we have rumble newcomers? It's fun.

I don't mind a newcomer or two appearing in Rumbles, but not a whole rumble of nothing but newcomers, the roster is already large enough as is, have to get rid of a few before TOH brings in more people

That's what I meant.

Minor rumble nitpick. Would it be possible to just have the wrestler's themes without the added voice clips for intro sync? Was odd to have the NOs in the middle of Robotnik's entrance or the random NOW IT'S REYN TIME out of nowhere.

Minor nitpick of my own: Though it hadn't been tried before to my knowledge, I think using nothing but Pokemon music for the whole night hurt some of the matches. Using music from a character's series helps draw connections between that wrestler and the crowd, and while I liked most of the tracks individually, using nothing but those tracks got stale rather quickly, the biggest casualty being the casual title match, which featured no boinging and no hounding. Not a huge issue in any regard, and I'm sure it didn't bother some people at all, but it caught my attention personally.

And to counter this!

I loved the idea of using Pokemon music for the Indigo Plateau episode. I would have loved if the entire season followed this pattern too; Mega Man music for the Wily's Castle episode, FF music for the Midgar episode, Mario music for the Mushroom Kingdom episode, etc.

There were loose connections to the people in the matches too which I enjoyed. The Dragons got a lot of Pokemon themes used for Dragon types, for example.

I loved all the Pokemon music, but then I'm a huge Pokemon music fan so I would have been happy with it even if the episode wasn't at the Indigo Plateau.

Anyway! I'm gonna give some feedback on some stuff I'm really really enjoying this season.

1) King Vegeta

Everything that Vegeta has done from the moment he won that fateful tournament has been 10/10. His matches, his stable, his plot. Everything has gone perfectly in making him seem like a huge deal. The creation of his stable has given us some fantastic cutscenes and allowed some interaction between characters who normally wouldn't talk to each other. It's also given some extra screentime to people who could use it like Arino and Ebisu. The Vegeta vs Gary feud has so far been the best plotline in Season 12, and if it's all leading up to Vegeta's Royal Court ruling over VGCW with an iron fist, I couldn't be happier with that.

2) The Tag Scene

I love me some Dragons, but they really cut through the tag division something fierce. Creating a bunch of new teams has helped it to grow around the damage, and it's given us some huge surprises like Salvation Ops and Fishermen's Horizon. The tag scene has got a whole bunch of activity going on, and Shadowball Valley already feel like an easier challenge for new teams to overcome than The Dragons, so the matches are going to be a lot more exciting to watch. With a bit more nurturing, the tag division is going to really stand out as something great.

3) The Casual Belt

I love that Wily was being given plot the very moment he had the belt, even though we had no idea if he'd defend or not. The risk was worth it since it's already making this reign feel like a big deal, and it's really clear that is the best form that Wily has ever been in. There's a whole bunch of midcard talent around who could be going for him, and it's a really interesting time for the casual belt right now.

My only real complaint with the season at this point is Shadaloo, but I feel that's being said plenty. I don't find them a particularly engaging group of villains, whether or not they win their matches. I know there's more to their story to be told yet, but there's really not much to keep me invested in seeing what they do next. Bison in particular doesn't really seem to have much of a personality beyond being the evil leader, which is weird because he oozes charisma in his actual games. He's a larger than life supervillain with an ego the size of a truck who constantly hams it up and refers to himself in the third person. In VGCW, I'm not entirely sure what he's meant to be.

And each of the title matches had a Champion's theme in them.

In regards to the music, it was a very neat one-off thing and appropriate for a major event like Mega Evolution (the distinct ring designs were a nice touch too) but I would probably keep it to that - not everybody is a pokefan, and we wouldn't want the gimmick to tire out.

That being said, I did love this event, earaches aside.

I don't think a theme of a show should override the people in the match itself, I like pokemon music but it really was to much in that show.

I actually liked having the Pokemon music in the show, though the one place where the music should have no restrictions was the main event...

You missed a golden opportunity to play Price Of Freedom over the last few minutes of the match....

Woulda been double dipping, though. Wouldn't have had the same effect the second time.
