There has never been Six-Man Hell in a Cell 2/3 Falls match and it's a blasphemy.

Or some ridiculous gimmick match would be funny for silly feud. I'm all in for Flaming Tables match. We could have a mini PPV where every match is fire-themed. Inferno, Ring of Fire, Flaming Tables, Inferno Iron Man. Literal cooldown matches can be weaved between.

I have a very important question to ask.

Does Jimmy Lee have the Triple H comeback?

I think if we ever have another 'pokemon' battle like during the whole Red/Scorpion bit, maybe use some of the pokemon caws that float around here?

Tournament focused episodes are fine but I think the champions themselves should compete in them as well. In a standard 8 team tag tourney one team has to win 3 in a row over the course of the show to face the champions. If the challengers then lose to the champions either on the night or next show it really makes the entire night feel pointless and rather deflating.

If the champions themselves are in the tournament instead of being the prize at the end I think it'd create excitement to see if they can win 3 in a row to retain the title but also create a buzz for the entire night since the title would be up for grabs for anyone in the tournament and it could theoretically change hands 3 times in one night. But the end result would still mean that the team who won the tournament now holds the tag titles.

I'm never really thrilled when I see a tournament that lasts an entire episode give someone the CHANCE to compete for a title. I'd rather see the episode end with the winners of the tournament BEING the champs.

I dunno, using actual CAWs that are employed is more demeaning, which makes it that much funnier!

The problem with this is that you would need to theoretically state that 7 teams are immediately ready for a title match right that second. Challenge Tower had 4 such challengers, and even then Bazza had to stretch to include castoffs from the previous contender's match. Take the state of the co-op scene right now. If we were to simply use the power rankings and took the Top 7 teams as well as the champion Dragons, would you really believe that Sonic and Knuckles, Barret and Flint, The Practice and The Mavericks should all be considered to be the next tag champs right away? It's punishing success and removing incentives to become the champions if they're placed on equal footing with a whole bunch of other teams.

Yeah, I get that it's sometimes very frustrating when a tournament that takes up a whole night ends up not resulting in a title change, but if you're entering the champions in at round one, you're essentially vacating the titles.

I'd rather tournaments be largely for bragging rights. I'd like to see King of the Ring become an actual thing, especially considering we have like a million dudes claiming to be king.

If you're going to do it for contendership, to take away the sting of the possibility of no title change, maybe TOH could just run a tournament when he's got some free time and put it on the Youtube channel as a "VGCW Network exclusive." Promotes the Youtube channel AND avoids the hassle of a live show.

I want KOTR NOW! No, prizes, no streamers, just randomly select a bunch if dudes on roster and crown a king.

A VGCW Show, Chatless?

That's blasphemous.
Bryn's got the option right now to post his stuff strait onto youtube.
But that would be dumb because Chat is an intregal part to VGCW as a whole.

Yeah my entire point was pretty much asking is there a way to make tournament winners more meaningful since it should be a huge deal to win 3 matches in 1 night. A contenders for winning a tournament doesn't feel THAT big since you can get a contenders by winning a single match on any other given night instead of having to go through 3 other teams.

I get that it's designed as champions advantage to not compete in tournaments but should that come at the potential cost of a wasted episode and a crowd left feeling on a downer if a team that won a tournament leaves with absolutely nothing other than having to start all over again? I just think tournament episodes would be more entertaining if at the end of the night the winners of the tournament win or retain the belts.

I guess I'd like to see the champions compete in tournaments too because it makes them look strong and willing to fight anyone instead of waiting to finish off a team who've been in action 3 times that night already. (Kayfabe, everyones 100% in new matches of course!)

I think it just kind of invalidates the idea of holding the title in the first place to do that. Like, Champion's advantage is a real thing that provides a certain dynamic to the titles, and it takes that sort of thing away.

Although, thinking about how to provide more oomph to tournaments, I'm wondering out loud about gimmicks like King Sheamus and King Barrett, contemplating if we could do something like that better if push came to shove.

Well I think that's why We've stopped having Champions fight the winner the same night, for the most part.
You don't just get to be No.1 contender, you get to Be in the title Match at Challenge Tower! Or Be the first ones of the season to take on The Sayains!
Etc.

Understandably, though, it can be really deflating if there's a massive effort like that to determine a contender, and the champion just kind of retains anyway.

Although the best example I can think of is Poison retaining against Daisy, and I was on the positive end of that reaction.
