Adding stipulations to otherwise regular matches is a great way to hype them up. Armstrong vs Ganon tonight felt really tense. |

NOPE.

That show felt a lot like Season 10, which is a good thing. A lot of wres and plot focused around more wres, it felt a lot cozier than last season did. Very good start to the season. |

Yep, off to a fantastic start, a lot of fun and a lot of stakes at the same time, I don't feel a single match was wasted on this show. |

I really liked the intro recapping the events of Last Season and what's been going on since, it helped set the mood nicely and it just felt right. Also felt that each match had reason behind it and it was overall a really good start to the season. I can't wait to see where this season goes! |

Yeah I enjoyed going back to that feel of season 10, more focused on matches and smaller-more wrestling plot.

Hot dang! What a show. As mentioned above, adding tiny stipulations to matches throughout the show goes such a long way towards making each match exciting. Even with the Fuckheads matches, you knew all four competitors had something to prove. I also liked that even people who weren't in immediate title contendership were talking about the title. Vegeta and Dan obviously, but Ganon set up his match, Wily mentioned going for the top prize, and Armstrong teased Snake about his need to be on top. Since TOH already let us know to expect more title matches, well, hot dang fellas, things are gonna get fun. Great show team. |

Yeah, Kryptik was working on the intro but he's had a rough past week. Binbag's also been caught on other work (the theme isn't actually finished). It's kinda out of my hands as I don't want to step on their toes here. As things get made, I'll update the intro. |

As to the matches themselves, quality was pretty good all around, and plot was good and fun. It's nice to have more talks between the roster members that go from show to show still, so keep doing that. It's been very good across the board so far so keep it up. |

All those guys who lost at Endgame like Illidan, Johnny and Red really aren't waiting around before building the momentum back up, huh? |

I'm pausing the episode and not even through it yet(thanks as always fits!) and I just wanted to emphasize something about the plot that I love this season. It's reactive, not proactive. Usually you'd think that's a bad thing! But not VGCW. VGCW thrives off throwing wacky shit together and seeing what the AI has in store. When you have a certain amount of characters over the course of a season, there's a lot of variations that the AI can form. Some people do tremendously bad, some good. Giving title shots and plot prominence to those who do well and paying attention to the struggles of those who don't feels natural and makes the whole VGCW thing feel more authentic. When I'm watching real wrestling, the best part is when I can forget it's staged for a moment and really get into the action. For VGCW, it's when I can get hyped up and believe that THIS MOTHERFUCKER WANTS IT when ultimately it's just the AI's latest dice roll landing a certain way. Hoppe that wasn't just gibberish 'cause rather than re-read it I'm gonna go back and watch the rest of this |
