While I may not be a huge fan or hater of Goemon, I do enjoy his theme and it's high energy, so I'm giving that vote to him. The second choice is Kanji, easily. |

GANBARE AS FUCK. Goemon gets my vote over Heavy. You know how I said unintelligible [WORDS] was a turnoff for me? Well, Kanji's [WORDS] are intelligible for the first part, and RISE UP has a lot more immediate appeal than Ebi's theme. My vote's for Kanji. |

Yeah, I'm a fan.

Goemon wins (Thanks Cran). I get hype whenever I hear it. RISE UP, GET DOWN, [Unintelligible Words]. I like Kanji's theme, it's a lot cooler than Ebisu's. |

Goemon's theme is really, really fun. It's upbeat, catchy and instantly recognizable. It fits his character really well and is a pretty good song. And anything that gets audience participation, what with the "GANBARE SO GANBARE", gets bonus points. Heavy has a nice theme, but the song is very much just a back drop to his entrance. Doesn't really do anything for me. While I prefer his older theme, Kanji's current theme is still really good. It's got MY BOY Lotus Juice, it gets the bonus audience participation points for the RISE UP and it fits the character of Kanji both as "Rowdy Tough Guy with a Soft Side" as he is in his source material and "Developmental Worker Making a Name For Himself in the Big Leagues" as he's become in VGCW. Ebisumaru's theme's honestly too new for me to actualyl remember what it is. |

Goemon and Ebisu. Heavy's theme is good, but isn't as interesting as Goemon's. His entrance is more about his "who touched my gun" animation to me. Goemon's is just too memorable, though his entrance needs to be about 5 seconds longer to fit in the "take a chance!" Ebisumaru's theme is pretty much my favorite song from Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. Great choice, whoever picked it out! I like the first 20 seconds of Kanji's theme, but everything after that is a lot weaker. |

Remember last year when we were excited for this?

Heavy's theme is fine, but it doesn't really show off his personality, it's more a generic song that fits the theme. You could give that to just about any TF character and call it a day. It's a shame that the Heavy didn't get to have a cool song used in his TF2 vignettes like The Pyro did, because "Do you believe in magic" was an amazing theme. Meanwhile Goemon's theme just feels like it shows more personality and charisma for me. Point to Goemon. But on the other side of the coin, you have Ebisu's theme, which is a fun theme. Fits well with the character. But you look at Kanji's theme, and there is really just no comparison. It's just so damn good. It grabs you and makes you pay attention immediately, and stays hype the entire way through. Kanji gets my vote. |

Just a fun fact, Heavy's original entrance theme wasn't long enough to match his entrance. It was also really fucking loud. For some reason Bazza made him enter to his tag team entrance theme (that synced up really well) but it didn't work out so great. There's like a 3 second stretch of awkward silence. I know this isn't his current theme but Heavy's up and few people remember that this entrance was a thing. Edited by DongyKonga, Dec 15 2015, 12:58 AM.

Casting my vote for Goemon in the first set. His theme has tons of personality that tells you exactly what this guy and his kooky series are like, and something about it just clicks as a "righteous protagonist" song as well. The start can't be confused with anything else and Ganbare has become a great chant used for various things by the chat. The Heavy's theme is nice, but I don't really feel much from hearing it, and I think Goemon's song uses lulls and rises better. Kanji gets my vote for the second set. His theme immediately hits hard with the "RISE UP" and is hype enough to make the crowd do exactly that. It's got a lot of energy to it, gives the impression that a huge fight's about to go down (an impression Kanji has always lived up to), and has a lot of attitude that feels very fitting for Tatsumi. The "Can't run away," part breaks up the rap smoothly, gives the chat another thing to chant, and kicks in after Kanji's entered the ring and effectively crossed the point of no return. Add in the great timing with Kanji's lightning bolt at the start and Kanji's theme easily takes this round. Ebisumaru's new theme sounds nice and goes well with how bizarre and comical he can be, but aside from that it doesn't have much of a pop. Kanji's theme outclasses it with ease. |

Goemon defeats Heavy 21-14. What a comeback Goemon made! Initially he started down 6 or 7 votes, but as time grew he started to catch up. Every time Goemon looked like he would tie the score though, we'd get another vote for Heavy. But at the 11th hour the Goemon supporters came out and showed their support for the mystical ninja. Ebisumaru wasn't so lucky, he got crushed by Kanji 32-3. Next up we have one of the most intense matches of the first round. Two themes that are no doubt very unlucky to be facing each other so early. Knuckles the Echidna vs Toejam and Earl Is #TITTYFEET tougher than LEATHA? And the second match is also sure to be an intense one... Dan Hibiki vs Flint |

Ooo, tough ones. I love both TJ&E and Knuckles themes, but if I have to choose one, I'm going with the funky boys. Knuckles theme is musical and iconic, but it doesn't have the same bounce and attitude that TJ&E's does. It was a theme that signalled the end to their jobber days and gave them a funky fresh attitude to take on the best VGCW has to offer. It's unique and hype and syncs up great with the intro. I'm voting for Toejam & Earl. As for Dan vs Flint, both of them have somewhat low key themes. Dan has a fitting theme, but I feel that Flint's fits him even more. It's not much of a theme for a wrestler, but it's a good tune for who Flint is, and it fits well with his image as the secret Hardcore Monster who will wreck your shit completely. I don't usually vote for a theme unless it fits an actual wrestling production, but Flint's fits him too well not to. I'll give my vote to ANT. Edited by Rude_Semprini, Dec 15 2015, 08:55 AM.

This is definitely a tough one. Knux and TJ and E both have themes that could have made it far. I gotta go with HERE I COME. DAS IN U is one of my favorite chat moments in any entrance. Dan and Flint both have pretty meh themes. I guess I'll go Dan because it sounds like someone could enter to it. |

NOPE.
|
Knuckles for the first one, since I kinda liked the original theme TJ and E had more (but I completely understand why the change needed to be made) Dan wins the other one for sounding like an actual wrestler theme. Flint's sounds like the opening to a 90's cartoon. |
