Illidan's new entrance theme is pretty good and I'm excited to hear it more. Demoman's is okay but I honestly couldn't hum it for you off the top of my head, so Illidan takes my vote. Really could care less about Red's theme, which I constantly get confused while humming with the one screen in Ocarina of Time for the Game Cube that lets you choose between normal and Master Quest. Toad's theme is far from the best (funny), but it's something. Overall, Toad's voice clip is much better than Red's voice clip (get it it's because he's a mute it's funny right he's a mute) so I have to give it to Toad. |

Demoman's theme has the Scottish sounds and percussion I would expect, but when his music hits, I'm excited more just because it's The Fucking Demoman than his music hyping me up. Both of Illidan's themes are really fitting for him in both his heel and face role, and his new metal one especially builds up fantastically as he walks to the ring, hitting the best part just as he steps in. Though in all honesty, I voted for Illidan in Star Road under the assumption we would hear "YOU ARE NOT PREPARED" whenever he entered the room so I'd be voting for him even if his themes weren't great. A vote for L I DAN. Between Red and Toad, I dunno, it's closer. Red's theme is orchestral and epic but has never really made me entirely hype for Red. It's a great song and a good entrance, but it's also an entrance I don't really think about much. Toad, however, has a theme that very much suits his nutjob personality. Like Groose's theme, Toad's jaunty theme tells you all you need to know about him within the first few seconds of you seeing him. Sorry, Red. You're the best there ever was, sure, but you're not THE BEST. A vote for Toad. |

TF2 has some of the most bland and uninteresting music ever, Demoman is cool, but that music is snore worthy, Illidan wins. Red's theme is also pretty boring, but it fits the character perfectly. Although I would say its time to update it, he's had it forever and it COULD be better. Why does Toad have "Rainbow Cruise" as his theme? It has nothing to do with Toad, its just a Mario song that he's using for some reason. Shouldn't he have Toad's Turnpike, Toad's Factory, or the Captain Toad theme? It really does not make much sense for him to have the song. Illidan and Red win this round. |

Remember last year when we were excited for this?

Illidan's and Demo's themes are both good for different reasons. Demo's theme is pretty fun, but fits the entrance REALLY well, leading to a really cool sync moment. Illidan's theme is better on it's own, and the "You are not prepared" line will probably always give me chills. Gotta go Illidan. Red vs Toad, Nintendo vs Nintendo. Hell, it's Smash vs Smash. It's kinda hard to put aside the characters here, so it's a good thing I like both of them. I think the only way I can judge this one is separate from the entrances. If I was walking around, and each of these songs came up on a playlist, I think Toad's theme would pump me up more, so I'll vote Toad. Also there is totally a voice clip of Red in his theme, you mean you can't hear it? |

Illidan and Toad. I love Red, but his theme is my least favorite thing about him, similar to Bison. |

Dang it, I keep putting this off to think of how to best describe each song then fall asleep before voting. No more. The first set is tough to pick between, but in the end I just don't really feel anything for Illidan's new theme yet. The Demoman's theme is kind of catchy, if a bit difficult to remember the beginning for, and it goes from bombastic to sluggish just like the explosive alcoholic it represents. The "You are not prepared" soundbyte is great, but in the end The Demoman gets my vote. The second set is also close, as Red's theme has always been good and is a nice rendition of his series' main song. However, the second Toad's music hits I just get the feeling that something awesome or hilarious is about to happen. It's high energy and kind of wacky in a way, and boy does that fit Toad to a T. Toad gets my vote. |

In the final day of Round 1, we had Illidan defeat Demoman 18-9 and Toad beat Red 17-11. Illidan and Toad had best thank their voice clips, because they may not have won without them! Now we're onto Round 2 of the tournament. We've had some close matches, we've had some one sided matches. But now it's take to take it up a notch as the competition gets ever steeper. Here's an updated bracket: http://challonge.com/vgcwthemecontest First up we have... Kefka Palazzo "Bwoop bwoop bwoop bwoop bwoop" Round 1 Results: N/A vs Zangief #PUSHGIEF Round 1 Results: Defeated Sabin Rene Figaro 19-12 Please welcome Zangief to Kefka's Korner! Kefka got a bye in the first round and is now facing his first opponent here and- Oh my god Zangief is in the curtainjerk of Round 2. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?! And the second match is sure to be a huge one as two of VGCW's most intimidating figures face off. The VGCW Champion, Lord Dracula "What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets! But enough talk, have at you!" Round 1 Results: Defeated Sonic the Hedgehog 26-5. vs Bowser "Did somebody page the king of awesome?" Round 1 Results: Defeated Captain Falcon 23-10 Last time Bowser and Dracula faced off it was a decisive victory for the King of Awesome. Dracula may have been TRASH'D then but this is a very different kind of battle. Can Bowser be victorious vs VGCW's top dog once again? Edited by Soundwave, Dec 20 2015, 08:54 AM.

Kefka has a very low intensity theme, which I don't like. I've come to associate it far more with Kefka's corner than I would with his entrance itself, and you really may as well tune out after the BWOOP BWOOP BWOOP. Geif doesn't have the greatest theme, but it gets my vote here. Dracula, meanwhile, still has the total package. I predict his victory in this tournament. Everything from the "What is a man" to the orchestral stings, to when the song hits it's flow, even when Drac was in a low period this theme still resounded energy and intimidation. Bowser, while his theme used to have that effect, doesn't have it anymore. The intimidation came from bowser himself, not The theme. Drac gets the vote |

Kefka and Drac, don't really have anything to say on the first one, but as menacing Bowser's theme can be combined with him, Dracula's is just that much better and has all the PRESENCE of the man himself. |

Kefka and Drac. Kefka doesn't have the best wrestling theme but it totally works with his character. Drac has a sound-bite, easy choices today. |
