VGCW Entrance Theme Tournament

Kefka's theme is fitting but I think it works better as an interviewer theme than it does as an entrance. For all the memorable moments it has been a part of, none of those strike me as an above-average entrance to a classic match. Zangief's theme works better as a wrestling theme, so point to Zangief.

Already covered these two, gotta go with Dracula on this one. Simply more intense and strikes more fear into myself than back beats and a car, even though that's pretty good.

Kefka vs Zangief: Kefka: Kefka's theme fits his character.

Dracula vs Bowser: Dracula: Dracula has the better and more memorable theme.

Kefka and Bowser.

Kefka because it's not that great of a wrestler theme, but it's more that I think Zangief's SF2 theme is just a really, really boring version of his theme that sounds equally mild and doesn't give him any character other than 'it's Zangief'. It took until his 'move over new stars' heel look that the theme fit, and even then it's just 'it's because I'm Zangief and I am classix, lol'. Doesn't actually improve him any, just makes it less garishly unfitting.

Bowser because... yeah just gonna say it, I don't like Dance of Illusions. The sound byte works REALLY well for Drac and I like that he has it, but the harpsichord used is just a cacophony of sound. I also don't like it when a wrestler's theme is given a chance to loop, and Dracula is JUST long enough that it ends up looping back. Bowser, meanwhile, just feels good the whole way through, despite being a bit long.

Zangief, I feel, is being a little underrated here-his theme isn't anything particularly special, but it still has something all good wrestling themes should have-a (compared to the rest of the song) slow start, some rising action, and by the time he's in the ring it's peaked and winding down for the next entrance. I love Kefka's theme, but it doesn't have that. It peaks early with the 'BWOOP WOOP WOOP' and can never really get back up to anything near as exciting.

Meanwhile, I don't think this other match should be as close as it is-Dracula should be a clear winner here, and for good reason. His theme just oozes 'you're all going down'. Bowser's used to do that, but his theme was really helped by his in ring performances, A.K.A domination. He just hasn't been doing that lately, so his theme has lost that oomph.

Kefka and Dracula for me, although I will say that Dracula needs to stop inhaling helium before his entrance.
