Armstrong's is absolutely amazing and deserves to go far into the tournament. Sho's starts out amazing but then proceeds to become an average theme, Robotnik's gets my vote for being funny. |

Let's get the easy one out of the way-Sho over Robotnik, with the conceding that if this was the M.A.S.T.E.R.P.L.A.N, I'd vote for it in a heartbeat. Now for the tricky one. I almost want to abstain from voting here if I'm honest-both of these themes are amazing, and should go further than being out Round 2. But, since I have to choose...Travis. It's just a more high energy theme song to me, and once you understand some of the lyrics, it tells you a lot more about the character than Armstrong's. |

I gotta vote Armstrong, Rising's butt rock is just too strong and while its not the best song on that soundtrack Collective Conciousness works really well for Armstrong, definitely one of my top picks from the league. The second round is tougher, Sho's theme is definitely in the pretty good but doesn't particularly do a lot for me category. Eggman's theme would be an easy vote here but Robotonik's theme while also good isn't quite as strong after you've seen the joke once. I'll still give it to Robotnik on the strength of that first time being amazingly hilarious but they're both really close themes in my eyes |

Remember last year when we were excited for this?

I'm pleasantly surprised to see that the Travis/Armstrong race is so tight right now. Both songs really deserve to advance past this round, but those are the breaks. Travis' theme is fun and all, but Armstrong's theme hits hard at the beginning and just doesn't let up. I'm voting for the Senator. As others have said, if it was Eggman's theme rather than Robotnik's theme, this would be a much harder choice. While the syncs in the Robotnik's entrance are a stroke of genius, they're placed over a kinda lackluster song. It's even so short it has to loop. I've said my piece on Sho's theme earlier on, but I've gotta stick with him here. Is this what you're searching for? Are you scared to know the truth? |

Neither Armstrong nor Travis deserve to go out in Round 2, but that's the way it's fallen. Sorry Travis, but Armstrong's theme is insane. A distinctive "OH SHIT" opening with an increasing intensity and a change in verse for each part of his intro. UNCLE SAM WANT'S YOU TO DIE, TRAVIS. I'm voting for Senator Armstrong. As for Sho and Robotnik, Sho's anime rock has more lasting power than that fantastically synced intro. Robotnik's entrance is one that gets less impactful as you hear it more, despite how much I love it, while Sho's is still fresh and retains it's impact. IT'S OOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER! I'm voting for Sho. |

Armstrong seems to pulling away with this, I'm voting for the Senator. Meanwhile, the other vote should be obvious. I'm picking Sho. |

Armstrong and Sho. Still not a big fan of the Kill or be Killed mix we use, and not being E.G.G.M.A.N. is a death kneel against actual quality. And by 'actual quality' I mean 'this is perfect for an entrance'. |

It's a really close call between Armstrong and Travis. Armstrong's theme has a great foreboding build-up at the start, but Travis' theme gets going much more quickly with the music and the eccentric charm. However, once "Collective Consciousness" picks up steam it catches up to and surpasses "It's Kill or be Killed." Also, the instruments and wubs in the song itself give me tech vibes, fitting well with MGR's setting and Armstrong's nanomachines, and the droning way the lyrics are sung makes me think of a hive mind, which the song itself is about. While both song's lyrics describe their respective characters, Travis' are more difficult to understand and, upon looking them up, seem to be about Silvia almost more than him. Armstrong's lyrics are much more understandable and do a better job of portraying his Patriots-like views and ill intentions, or at least the facade he puts up for most of MGR. Armstrong gets my vote. The second set is an easier choice between Robotnik and Sho. While Ivo's entrance is hilarious with the "NO" moments and the "SILENCE" to wrap it up, the song itself just doesn't stand up nearly as well as Sho's theme. Like I mentioned earlier, "Transformation" is just excellent both as a wrestling theme and for the character Sho seems to be. Sho Minamimoto gets my vote.
