Snake and Dante easily. Octodad and his theme inspire tremendous apathy in me at this point, and Snake's soundbytes, great song and thinking "KEPT YA WAITIN HUH" every time he comes out is much better to me than a rap.

Dragons saved their careers and is still the most enjoyable song to sing along with. The MGS theme is fantastic, and will always be fantastic, but its effectiveness is dependent on venue lighting. I will say, for an intro of its length, it never wears out its welcome.

Dante has become surprisingly enjoyable for much the same reason.

MAY IS ̶B̶A̶E̶ HEEL!
Snake's new soundbites pull it ahead of The Dragons theme for me now. The theme kicks in at the right time too with Snake appearing from the darkness right as the theme notches up a gear.

Dante because the song has a continual build up that reaches it's apex at the right time. Dante standing on top of the turnbuckle with his shit eating grin asking us all "What the fuck is wrong with you?". The theme is also used for The Fugheads too so it must be good!

Snake and Dante.

Were this pre-TOH era Snake, Dragons would take it, especially with Bazza's William Mackey tomfoolery, but the codec call is just too good. Point to Snake.

Second one is a bit tougher, but Dante's theme is one that slowly gets better, whereas Octodad's theme is one that is enjoyable throughout. Paired with their individual entrances, Octodad's theme very nicely compliments his entrance, enough to give him an edge (hah) over Dante for me. Both are very good themes, though. Point to Octodad.

The Dragons' new theme was part of their career turnaround. I love Snake's entrance full with the voice clips, but I still have to go with The Dragons.

If you don't vote for Dante, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?

Solid Snake's always had an enjoyable theme and one of the best initial intros on the show, though the walk down the ramp doesn't stand out much to me. Those opening notes also raised the question of if we'd be seeing Snake or Gray Fox in Seasons 7-9, and that Codec call is a great new addition as well. The Dragons have always had a great theme even in their pre-P.R.A.T.S. days, but when they got that rap it was like their entire song got a hundred awesome soundbytes. The rap suddenly added a ton of extra personality and vividness to the Dragons, meshed well with their goofy and tough-talking plot personalities, and the threats within it started off as hilarious improbabilities and eventually became legit. The Duane and Brando rap couldn't have arrived at a better time, helping to turn the audience around on a then-unsuccessful tag team that had just gotten tons of heat for beating a solo Duke Nukem and also giving us tons of fun little chat elements, from "<---member of the Fuck You Club" to "Machine Gun Dr. Wily's going down tonight." Plus, the song also worked perfectly for when the Lee brothers exploded in a Royal Rumble, doing what no other theme could. The Dragons get my vote.

Picking between Donte and Octodad is very difficult. Donte's theme has a slower start, but in the EBDW days it gave us more time to dread the arrival of the reboot from Hell before he finally appeared, and the song does crescendo once Donte enters the ring with the now-iconic "Hey! You! What the fuck is wrong with you?!" The in-between period is kind of a wait for that crescendo though. Also, when Donte first appeared in developmental, I thought Dudebro actually just picked the edgiest song he could find and gave it to Donte as a joke. When I later learned that the song is actually from his game, it was both extra hilarious and extra pathetic that Ninja Theory was so fucking tryhard. Octodad's theme is the polar opposite of Donte's in spirit, being quicker to start and a wacky, jovial tune that describes who this bizarre guy is the entire time while telling us a lot about what his deal is and the game he comes from. It too peaks when the normal father gets to the ring and has more sing-along potential than Donte's theme, and for Octodad's early career this song was absolutely vital in establishing just who on Earth this dude was and why he was here. From the sound of it I thought he was from some kind of phone game at first, and from the "Octodad will never be in VGCW" quotes attributed to Bazza he came across as a long shot in the league. The song gave Octodad a foot in the door that slowly became two, then three, then eight and now prepares us for some crazy fun. For that career-establishing element, Octodad gets my vote.

Duane and Brando and the Ordinary Father.

As much as I like the Metal Gear Solid theme and Dante's Edgy Entrance, I've got to give it up for the comedy [WORDS].
