Come on, you all know that Cage is gonna win this one. Yet another point to Mr. John Carlton.

And as much random diddles as it is, I just find it so much easier to rock out to Zubaz's theme than Illidan. Point goes to the STO

Gary's theme was a favorite song from my childhood and in VGCW it hits a lot of right notes: It's got a crisp, unmistakable intro with a great build-up that also syncs with Gary's pyro and when he swings into the ring; it's very energetic and catchy; it serves as a turning point where Gary "evolved" but is silly enough to work with the fact that he didn't really pull an Ash-into-Red; and it highlights how Gary is egotistical and selfish as hell. Seriously, "Blue" Oak sees the world as his oyster and relishes the fact that he's GM, immediately giving himself a brand new intro and later sporting tons of extra pyro at End Game X1. The smug brat is hamming it up as the king of the world. However, with all that said, Johnny Cage still has the perfect, complete package. Cage's theme aces everything that Oak's theme does and goes beyond, and the fact that it's actually about Johnny makes it all the better. The tune starts super hype but still finds ways to step up and get even more intense throughout, basically being the song Zubaz's theme wishes it was. Johnny Cage gets my vote.

Zubaz's theme doesn't really resonate much with me and I'm still kind of warming up to Illidan's new one, but I do find Zubaz's intro humorously tryhard while Illidan's sounds better as a song. In the end I think the soundbyte wins the day for Stormrage. Illidan gets my vote.

Cage and Zubaz, these are just two guys I can't imagine with different themes, and its hilarious one's for being so great and one's for being kind of so bad its good.

Gary didn't prepare himself, and in a shocking twist, Illidan himself was not prepared. Cage wins 32-6 and THE BAZ wins 24-14.

Final matches of Round 2 ahoy

Chief Arino :kacho:
"Kacho on!"
Round 1 Results: N/A

vs

Miles Edgeworth
"Sit back and enjoy the sound of the noose tightening around your own neck."
Round 1 Results: Beat Groose 22-11

We have a rematch of the Season 11 Episode 1 Match of the Night. Arino won the match on that day, but can he win this battle of music? A plucky underdog with a rockin' tune vs the synchronized epitome of classy sophistication.

Match #2

Barret Wallace :hey:
"My name is Barret Wallace and I'm known for paralyzin', pulverizin' punks into submission, I ain't fantasisin'."
Round 1 Results: Beat Reyn 22-10

vs

Toad
"I'M THE BEST!"
Round 1 Results: Beat Red 17-11

His name is Barret Wallace. But is he THE BEST? Barret sings all of his theme while Toad only chimes in at the beginning. Is Toad THE BEST at singing his own theme? Probably, but we'll never know. For now we'll have to settle for this battle instead.

Well, the first fight is a good one in the sense that I kind of like both but don't fell extremly hype about any of them, so it really is a close one. But I' gonna go with Edgeworth.

Toad theme is alright, nothign wrong with it. Could have vote for it against some other opponents. But I seriously believe Barret theme is one of the two greatest of VGCW, so I ahve to go with Barret.

Hmm...These are some interesting matchups, I think. For match one though, I think I'll echo what others have said throughout this tourney-the soundbite makes a theme. That in mind, I'll give my vote to Chief Arino.

Round two though...Yeesh. I really enjoy both of these theme songs, both from a character standpoint and an actually good song standpoint, but...It's Barret Wallace. He's had one of the best theme songs in the league for years. Sorry Todd.
