Bowser & Travis get my vote Bowser obliterates Falcons entrance out of the water. Bowser's intro is loud, awesome, memorable, and everything an intro should be. Falcon's old intro was okay, but his new one makes him look like a try hard. Not really even a fair fight honestly. Does Ezio even have an intro song? Because for the life of me I can't remember what it is or what it sounds like, I think a violin is in there somewhere? Ether way its clearly boring as all get out, while Travis has a memorable and actually engaging intro so again he wins be default really. |

Falcon and Travis. I feel like Falcon's theme would get a lot more votes if he was stronger, it's the perfect hype theme but it loses it's impact when you know he's going to lose. |

Bowser defeats Captain Falcon 23-10. Despite the scoreline, it was very, very close at the start, but eventually Bowser strapped a rocket to his back and took off. Travis defeats Ezio 25-8. Travis had a pretty clear lead the whole time. Next up we have That damned traitor, the man who turned his back on America and all of us, Guile. vs VGCW's newest addition to the roster, Sho Minamimoto Sho may have lost to the old stars in the ring, but can he secure a win over an old star in this tournament? and the second match... Dr. Wily! Wait, let me try that again. ALBERTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DEL WIIIILY vs His creation and Endgame X1 main eventer, Air Man! Master vs Machine. Can the swag of Wily defeat Air Man? I hate Guile's theme for reasons that aren't even his fault. Sho's Theme, meanwhile, is TWEWY music. He notably is using a different version from the one you linked now, but it was made in house, so there's nothing you could have done about that. Wily's Theme because of course Wily's Theme. |

I try and make the song I link as accurate as possible. I rewatched his debut just to be sure. Is the numbers funkyness with the static before the song starts considered part of his theme? |

What I did was I combined the original Transformation with the intro from Transformed to create something of a dual mix, for the sake of the percussion. |

Huh. Well, GG. Pretty sure the majority of the music left to come I can nail though. Snake might be challenging I guess? |

It does beg the question of whether our in-house stuff should be uploaded in some consumable manner. I'll ask around. |

Guile and Air Man (holy shit I fucked this up, thanks Fireball for letting me know I typed in the exact opposite) Guile's Theme is Guile's Theme. Absolutely classic. I really like Sho's theme and all and it reminds me of something someone would enter to during the Ruthless Aggression era or something. It's a good song. It's just Guile's theme is one of the most iconic songs in gaming and a damn good entrance theme (it does go with everything), so I have to go with that. Mega Man battle. Obviously, coming from the same games, these songs are very similar, so it goes down to preference. I gotta go with Air Man, it really conveys that "you can't defeat me" feeling with that opening stinger. The rest of the song isn't that special, but I prefer it to Wily's who is a soft for my taste. Sho and Wily. Guile's Theme may go with everything, but Transformation is TWEWY Music, therefore it's automatically better to me. I'm not the biggest fan of Air Man's Heel Theme, and Wily's Theme is iconic to VGCW. |

Guile's theme is instantly recognizable and the whole song hits a kind of note and pitch that almost no other theme does. It blares like a bunch of trumpets to announce Guile's on the scene and to pay attention now like some boot camp cadets, and it goes well with him loosening up at the top of the ramp. Also, in light of his heel turn parts of the song seem a bit more imposing too. In a way it tries to demand attention when he shows up and the slower horns when he walks down the ramp feels a bit hostile, going well with his glares at the crowd. Also, I just love how the old adage "Guile's theme goes with everything" has proven true for even a heel turn, and it emphasizes how Guile is truly a douchebag all on his own; he didn't need a boost from a new theme. He got full "fuck this guy" status from his actions alone and even made the theme villainous. Sho Minamimoto's theme opens with a great hook and a commanding voice that grabs attention coupled with a beat that sounds like something big and dangerous is on the prowl and about to appear at any moment. I love how the song kicks into full gear when he appears out of the pitch darkness, and the "quieter" parts of the tune still feel tense in a good way, like a shark that went back under the surface. The wording of the lyrics also seems bossy, and I get the feeling that Sho's exactly that kind of person. He's certainly been a rather demeaning know-it-all in his plots, and the song basically is telling you that you're screwed and to realize just how screwed you are. It's a close one, but Guile narrowly gets my vote. This second set, oh man. Dr. Wily's theme is incredible, starting with a memorable building note that quickly explodes into the rest of the frenetic song. That brief moment goes beautifully with the Swagmobile pulling up, and the theme is instantly recognizable as the Wily Castle theme while having a ton of energy packed into it. It's like it was scientifically engineered to create hype and it fits Wily's Ph.D in swag like a damn glove. Every dang part of the song and Wily's actions just go together so well, and it goes great with the wonderful absurdity of Wily's lucha style too. The dude's brimming with energy and crazy stuff and so is the theme. Wily's theme completes the whole package of the Doc seemingly having infinite job security. Air Man also has a theme that just blows you away. It too gives a slight notice before crashing into your face as a revved up, perfectly recognizable version of his classic song. The song builds up so much tension paired with Breezy's intro too, like an alert going off as this murderous robot boots up all of its systems and decides it wants humanity to die. That intense zoom-in has long given a feeling that "the guy he's fighting is so dead", which is even more true in light of Air Man becoming a Maverick. It has tremendous presence and conveys the ill will this robot has for whoever crosses his path. Also, the fact that it flows into the iconic "I Can't Defeat Air Man" is freaking awesome and makes it double as an amazing victory theme as well, especially if the plot takes a long time to load or a disc change pops up. By the tiniest of microns, Wily gets my vote. The infinite job security element can't be stressed enough. Edited by Fireball Spam, Dec 11 2015, 11:19 AM.
