I think Cage is getting heated because he beat the fan favorites he did fine overall except for that final |

Illidan mean-mugging the shit outta Cage backstage right now. Finally won your tournament, buddy! I kinda wish the tournament was longer. It's too bad the idea didn't get started off earlier, it could have been an ongoing background thing throughout the season as they traversed the world. Edited by GirthIgnorer, May 31 2016, 10:45 PM.

It might be fun if we made this tournament into a seasonal thing? That runs into the issue of having a new 'King of the X' every season of course, but maybe switch up the prize in the future when the king appeal wears off? Number one contender-ships are an obvious enough prize, but maybe you can do even more fun things with it, like...I dunno, earn GMship for the next episode only, or gain the right to fight Ganondorf at End Game. Things like that. |

Cage did great, it's just that his path to victory led him through three people with a ton of fan support, which brought on the salt. If Cage had gone though like, Knuckles and Groose, I bet people wouldn't be nearly as salty. Him winning every match with a dick punch was hilarious though. Edited by Rhonne, Jun 1 2016, 01:21 AM.

The dick punch to Zubaz was a huge hype killer. Cage hits a 0Dmg, Baz hits two specials outside the ring, puts Cage back in the ring, gets off a comeback and a thunderbomb, gets punched in the balls once and straight up dies. Meanwhile Ridley takes 4 finishers, 2 sigs(?), and a comeback to go down.

No mercy! Wounds that won't heal! Carved into flesh! Lethal Pain!

It kind of suits both of them really. Ridley comes out looking like a monster, and Zubaz continues to be ever so close to victory, only to get punched in the nuts. On the whole, I'm not upset cage won, final match aside, he was fun to watch, and should get some good plot now, which is something I'm sure he can excel at. |

Johnny Cage is getting PLOT you guys, remember when he had a snark battle with Kefka? This is Johnny's time to go ape in his strongest field. |

Outside of Ridley literally everyone else got taken out by the second Sig or Finisher. Sure Baz hit the comeback but since Cage worked up to a finisher naturally without having to pop one it meant Baz had been taking more moves and thus more damage. OMG's still deal damage and stuff you just can't pin off em, exactly like a finisher to the outside which is what Zubaz did. There was nothing bullshit or 2kuality about that match. If anything Ridley taking 4 finishers was the bullshit part but it came on the back of 2 finisher reversals when one by itself is usually pretty annoying. So nobody really cared. |

Thinking about daily discussion, and I kept hearing that Johnny Cage is "Mr. 50/50". So, I bothered to look at Cage's track record since Season 11. Vs Phoenix Wright Vs Ganondorf Vs FF3 & Knuckles Vs Sabin Vs Bullies Vs Salvation Ops Vs Duke, Ezio, Phoenix (Came 2nd place) Vs Dragons Vs Loose Cannon Vs Travis Touchdown Vs The Practice (Eliminated by Eggman) Vs Zubaz Vs Edgeworth Vs Seifer If you just look at singles, it looks like this Vs Phoenix Wright Vs Ganondorf Vs Sabin Vs Travis Touchdown Vs Zubaz Vs Edgeworth Vs Seifer Johnny Cage is 10-4 overall, 4-2 in tag matches, in 6-1 in singles. If you know how basic math works, it's not 50/50. Season 11 started in July 2015. So, I don't understand why people keep parroting 50/50 farce that ended one year ago. If he gets convincing win over strong opponent, I say Cage deserves something. Edited by Mosaique, Jun 2 2016, 10:20 AM.

Yeah, I'm a fan.

There were mentions of the King of the World being "deserving". Though, that word can be taken in a variety of ways. My current thoughts on the situation is Cage vs Vegeta for contendership. Vegeta's stats are below for comparison. They start from July 2015 to present day. While the Scorpion match looked like a win from Vegeta, it ended in a no contest. Vs WarioWare Inc. Vs Chief Arino Vs Wily, Zangief, Illidan (Steel Cage Escape) Vs The Fuckheads Vs Goemon Vs Bowser Vs Duke Nukem (2/3 Falls) Vs Scorpion (No Contest) w/ Arino Vs Air Man w/ Break Man Vs Gary Oak Singles Only: Vs Chief Arino Vs Goemon Vs Bowser Vs Duke Nukem (2/3 Falls) Vs Scorpion w/ Arino Vs Air Man w/ Break Man Vs Gary Oak Vegeta is 7-2-1 Overall. 2-0 in Tags, 0-1 in Multimans, and 5-1-1 in Singles. Just one move away from achieving victory, only to get figuratively and literally punched in the nuts. Zubaz is the hero VGCW deserves. |

If Vegeta vs Cage isn't for contendership, something is seriously going wrong. |

Honestly I don't even know what we'd do if Zubaz didn't constantly come up short. |

I try to look at this whole thing in a more broad sense, the guy who ended up winning this thing will be a "King" and we'll likely mess with Vegeta at some point or another due to them both having the title. Edgeworth has this Triforce thing going on right now and being a King would mess with that. Zubaz's entire gimmick is never getting attention or respect from anybody, so I'm not sure how a crown would even work on him. Ridely... can't talk? Would he even know he's king? Is he sentient enough to get mileage out of a king gimmick? Seifer already has a plot thing going on with his plans with Bison so that would get him involved in two different plot threads. And Earl, well I think Earl is way to chill of a guy to really do anything with a crown, he might wear it and call it "dope" but hes not one to wave authority around. So honestly, as they had nothing going on right now, and have the personality to roll with it, I think Cage, Knuckles, or Groose were the best choices to be put into this story line, and luckily one of them is the one who won the whole thing. King Cage is gonna be great, you just wait and see. |

Ridley is way more intelligent than he is getting credit for. He can speak in the mangas, and he even made the Ridley Robot you fight in Zero Mission. He's just really goddamn bloodthirsty, craves destruction, and is a very high-ranking space pirate. As it happens, being a giant dragon that screams is very good for an intimidating image. |
