I only just saw Airman as R2D2 and made an unflattering noise once I did. Anyway. I'm not happy about what happened to Goemon. But much like all my other favorites that Bazza and Toh have thrown under the bus, I'll get over it eventually. I'll remember the good times Goemon brought, no matter what anybody ever says about him in the past, now, or in the future. I will be, and always have been his fan.

Tonight's show was magnificent, I was in stitches during the ending. BUT NOT HAVING LINK WHILE IN HYRULE IS UNACCEPTABLE I still salty about this. |

Tonight's episode was really fun. Donte and Travis certainly had something to prove, which made it a bit of a surprise when The Mavericks beat them with the fastest time of the qualifiers. Gary vs. Robotnik was a nice little fight with the DDT 6 showing why it's a legend again, and then there was the Fatal Fourway glitching out. With the lingering shadow of Bison interrupts and the chat poking fun at Hyrule's fancy venue being decrepit as hell, the game freezing for so long felt like a well-timed accidental punchline. Hearing the funk again was neat too, and it was as if "here comes that sound again" was referring to Timber Owls itself. Man, all things considered it was actually the best venue possible for tonight's 2Kuality and QualiTOH incidents to strike. Hyrule being in a constant state of ruin due to wars, leadership problems, or Ganondorf tied in with the crashes, and the bizarre state of the Zelda Timeline just worked all the better with the eternal loading screens. Fatal Fourway about to start? Time is stuck and won't flow right. A team even remotely related to Ganon wins at all? The universe is immediately frozen, and in a Beat the Clock match no less. Finally, there was the accidental plot goof showing both possible aftermaths for the main event. The Zelda Timeline is famous (and infamous) for its timeline splits, and Hyrule Historia added to the fire with its nonsensical "Downfall Timeline" existing at all. To have literal "Ezio Wins" and "Ezio Loses" timelines was the best joke Hyrule could provide. This also goes so well with Zelda becoming an aloof snob in WVGCW as well. Thanks coincidences! Anyway, back on track, Arino splitting his Kachoback between Kefka and Haggar was awesome and the final tag qualifier had magnificent chaos. Also, Vyse accomplished the unthinkable by hitting a hot tag then winning off of a dirty pin. Jimmy Lee had a hard-fought and sweet runback against Duke Nukem, avenging both Cooking Mama and Guile, and Dan Hibiki finally bested Groose and looks set to contend for the big gold. Lastly, this Blood Falcon finally worked out all his issues and decimated Ezio in a much-needed win. It makes for an interesting part of VGCW history too, with each Bird of Prey now ending the others' losing streak. While I had hoped to see a Blood Falcon army earlier in the season, I'm nonetheless happy to see it now as Bison finally plays the aces up his sleeves. Good stuff TOH and Co. |

While the manager thing was neat and all, I was kinda hoping Vyse was going to draft Ganon into being on their team for the qualifier match and that if he won he would get the case back. That way, ether if they got the contender shot or not Ganon could have said he fulfilled his end of the deal. Plus we coulda had Demoman and Ganon as a team for one night only. I mean. Ganon is a pirate.. sorta. He's a thief at least. |

Seeing Ganondorf running out and doing Vyse/Demonman's entrance would have been something. |
