Occasional no-plot episodes, like the King of the Beach tournament, would also be a fun way to work in a little break - I think we can all agree that the results of that tournament were fantastic, and I'd be willing to see more of that in the future.
That is, if TOH actually wants to do that - I also don't mind seeing more organic plot points form from what happens too.
I think some harmless low plot wres nights could do everyone (TOH and Crew especially) some good Yup. Allows for storytelling in-ring (which some feel is lacking right now), and it lets creative have a bit of a break. Win-win for everyone I think.

If there were going a tournament in the future, I think one featuring guys on the lower part of the card would be fun and would help get some guys some momentum.
And an excuse to put Zubaz in another tournament

instead of no plot, just give us a show where all the plots detail zubaz's daily life in the arena Wouldn't that just be Zubaz running from security all the time, and having a match in-between all that running? Zubaz must be EXHAUSTED by the time he hits the ring.

Well, that Bison promo dragged on for way too long.
Bison is known for telling his actions in an overly dramatic way that is so over the top yet so simple that you cannot help but love it. Listening to Bison's Tuesday quote again, it really captures the Bison character perfectly. In a simple sentence, he tells how little he cares about killing people, yet how much he enjoys it at the same time.
This Tuesday, Bison went on for ages, trying to explain that he simply likes to mess with our emotions. I swear, this promo could have been as long as 2K14's text limit and more people would have possibly been satisfied. Bison never makes overly long speeches, they always find the right balance in length, which is what makes him such a wonderful villain.
So at the end of the day, I didn't feel like it Tuesday's End Plot promo was a Bison promo, just another 2003 Triple H Evolution promo.

I wouldn't mine Gary hosting a tournament to find someone to beat Vegeta it would make sense plot wise and lets the winner do something. He does need someone to counter Arino after all.

So, Grand Dads vs Shadaloo tomorrow.
A great 3v3 match, but I have to wonder, what comes next?
If Bison wins, he proves to VGCW that he can take on...basically even odds, which isn't all that huge in the grand scheme of things.
But if he loses...then what? There's still almost an entire season left for things to unfold. What can he do, other than maybe activating his Psycho powers, to tilt his odds?
And Barret and Dracula's fate is even less certain now than it ever was. Where is the missing belt? And is Barret's entire career still riding on it?

And Barret and Dracula's fate is even less certain now than it ever was. Where is the missing belt? And is Barret's entire career still riding on it? I really hope we find out soon. The thing that made Season 9 my least favorite was the fact the title scene was essentially frozen in place for weeks on end. I hope the same thing doesn't happen here.

Well, there are a lot of loose threads that aren't going to be answered with a win or a loss in this match.
Who was Bison talking to in Midgar? What did he take from Hojo's lab, and what will it do? Why exactly has he made it his mission to piss off literally everyone in the show? Why are Asura and Falcon, two guys we know aren't evil, helping him?
And of course, what the hell is his plan at all? I really don't think it's as simple as he's making it out to be. "IT WAS ALL A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT, BRO!" is a nice meme, but there's going to be more to the main villain than that.

I hope the same thing doesn't happen here. Perhaps we'll get a contenders' match today for the next defense before this one is settled? If only to stop the title scene from being completely frozen.
@Rude_Semprini: don't forget there's that probable connection Sho has with Bison... if that's who he was talking to at the end of EG X1. That, and there's that person he mentioned that he'd have to "negotiate" with...

I just assumed Bison was talking to Sephiroth in the Midgar episode.
I suppose I have only that one reason for thinking its Sephiroth, but that's what my brain told me.

So, time for some crazy speculation about M. Bison's plans.
Ramblings Now, we know that Bison has pissed off a lot of people, but what if he's done so in the hopes of essentially baiting certain targets? For example, what if he's trying to annoy what he perceives as weaker or more disjointed factions first so they try to rush ahead and deal with him, only to be wiped out as Shadaloo slowly grows stronger? In a way it's like he's trying to order his enemies RPG-style; weaker foes first that let you level up to face the stronger ones. By carefully arranging his enemies, Bison might be able to whittle away at the roster when they'd normally swat him down.
Now, granted, two of these factions include the Dragons and the team that beat the Dragons, but with Dan potentially being hospitalized for a longer time Bison might be able to use the opportunity to better mess with the Lees' minds. As for Shadow Ball Valley, Red and Illidan may be influenced in the way Falcon and Asura are.
This might also explain why Bison is eager to take on team "Grand Dad." Barret & Flint is a rather inconsistent tag team, usually noted for one member (often Flint) soloing the opposing team. By making them fight together, Bison may be hoping to mess up each one's solo mojo then find the current weak link on the team. As for Dracula, The Dark Lords was a team known more for hilarious moments rather than powerful ones to say the least, and the "Rondo Jump" is noted as not the best move to break up a pin in time. By aggravating his foes in such a way, Bison might be stacking the deck in his favor.
Of course, not everything paints a nice picture for Bison. It's uncertain if Barret & Flint's "solo everything" mode is just a symptom of their fighting styles and struggling teams or an actual "in the zone" state of being they can reach. If it's the latter, Bison might have one hell of a tough time no matter what his strategies or tactics are. A weak link may still exist, but it might just be comparatively weak, leaving a normal foe and an absolute monster for Shadaloo to face. As for Dracula, he was on the winning team in a six-man tag match at End Game X1's go-home show. Said team displayed remarkable teamwork, including from the Count himself, and Drac even saved Kanji using the "Rondo Jump." Dracula was also part of the winning sequence, saving Sonic from Gargoyle Mode and then teaming with him and Tatsumi to lock down then pin Billy Lee. Barret or Flint could be behemoths, and Dracula may have gotten better overall.
As for Barret, we saw in the build-up to Blood Money that he stepped up his game something fierce. That may have all been expended at the PPV, but if not, or if getting screwed over like this can let Barret step it up once again, Wallace may still be packing one hell of a killer instinct and the ability to make some great battle plans. While he's on much shorter notice against Shadaloo, Barret might be able to cook up something great.
Now, as for Bison's faction, Asura is definitely a powerhouse. He was undefeated in Singles before the Star Road 2 finals against Zubaz, he handily decimated Groose at full Ass Cam Power, and his explosive rage even seems to live on here: In EDBW, apparently in response to crowd jeering, he went from getting bodied by Big the Cat to annihilating him. Even if this Shadaloo is shades of the previous one, Asura may be more than ready to fill the Sagat role of getting all the pins.
Next we have Blood Falcon, apparently the good Captain turned to the forces of evil. Ever since getting his logo and gains back, Falcon's ring performance improved drastically, as shown by how well he man-handled Phoenix Wright. The Birds of Prey were noted as being one of the only teams in Season 11 to put up a good fight against the Dragons as well. Upon becoming Blood Falcon, his might may have improved even further. However, despite all this Falcon has yet to turn any of these improvements into a win, and as such he still is something of a risky wildcard for Shadaloo. That said, Bison appears to have given Falcon some kind of augmentation after his match with Dan, so the bounty hunter could be anywhere on the chart at this point.
Finally, there's Bison himself. While he became a five-star worker after defeating Sagat at Chamber of Elimination, that may have just been the Singles skills he had all along. The tag scene has never been Bison's specialty, and that may still prove true even if he did improve after CoE. However, depending on how thoroughly and for how long Bison has been planning this, the Dictator may have been sandbagging for quite some time. As such, we may see a Bison who's as good a team player as he is a solo star. There's also the matter of the Psycho Power Bison seemingly has gathered. If he does have a kind of "Negative Spirit Bomb" up his sleeve, Bison (and Shadaloo for that matter) may show up tonight leaps and bounds more powerful than before.
Of course, there's a final element involving the Dictator: He may be the weak link on his own team. Back when Sagat was still on the roster, it was the Muay Thai master who carried the team Shadaloo, typically netting all the pins and (IIRC) rarely eating them. This was notable enough that some members of the audience sympathized with Sagat and supported him going into the "I Quit" match with his boss. In fact, this was the only thing that got Sagat sympathy at all, so Bison's failings were quite apparent back then. When this was pointed out to him, Bison dismissed it all as Sagat being lucky, and later even decided to "forgive" Sagat for saying something Bison considered inane and ridiculous. If Bison truly is blind to his own performances, he may be in for a shock tonight.
As a neat little closing note, during the End Game X1 stinger, Bison described his greater Shadaloo organization as "my Rome." It just so happens that there's something special today that ties into that:
It's the Ides of March.
Bison might fancy himself a Julius Belmont going into this show, but he might wind up a Julius Caesar by the end of it.
