More sizzle than a rasher of bacon.

Hi everyone, Important announcement to share with you all. BWA: Final Round airs on Tuesday, March 29th, but when VGCW returns to its Tuesday timeslot on April 5th, it will be moving from a weekly format to a bi-weekly one, airing every other Tuesday. So that would mean the following episode, VGCW: Mega Evolution, will be April 19th. This is a move we've considered for a while. The stress of running a weekly show has piled on us, and we're finding our available time hurting as well. I've been on a 9-5 weekday schedule with hour-long commutes each way, Cran's getting back to work again, working late hours. Kryptik's been around, but he falls ill from time to time. It's hurting our availability to work on VGCW and has led to a great deal of stress for us. When things went in the wrong direction a few weeks back, we took it as a sign that we needed to make the bi-weekly move final because we were suffering from the weekly format. We've discussed this with the rest of the staff, and we agreed this was for the better. Even Bazza recommended going bi-weekly to help deal with the stress better. So we're going to take that advice, because we need to put our own well-being first and foremost. I know this will disappoint some people. I did see some of you talk about maybe doing "house shows" with just wrestling and you might think that's an idea here, but our enjoyment out of this is getting to plan and do cool and fun things with this game. We've worked with WWE 2K14 for 2.5 years, some of our staff also worked with WWE 13 for a year or so. Having to work with this game for so long can get frustrating. Getting a break from the game every other week, or at the very least stretching out our work over two weeks, is really best for us here. House shows would make that difficult. Even with the bi-weekly move, we'll always have something airing in the regular Tuesday timeslot. WVGCW, EDBW, and BWA will fill in as possible. We'd also like to get some game streams in every now and then for a little variety. So keep tuning in every Tuesday for new content. Thanks for continuing to support us. We want to keep doing this for you guys, but we need to make some changes in order to make this viable and keep providing you with quality shows while taking care of our own well-being. We hope you understand. |

Not exactly what I expected to see this morning, but I understand it. This is very much a hobby type thing after all, and if you need to take breaks from it for your own well being that's perfectly fine. Hope you guys can do your work well/feel better soon/enjoy your new job, and keep doing good stuff with the show/your lives. |

I'm okay with VGCW becoming bi-weekly, as I'm used to waiting two weeks for a show with BWA. I don't want any of you guys falling ill due to stress caused by having a weekly show. Your health comes before VGCW. |

Yeah, if this were something we did professionally, then we'd definitely keep this a weekly thing, but it's ultimately a hobby for us. We're trying to balance this with our work lives, and it even cuts into leisure time. I don't get to play video games as much I used to. I've had to hold back on making plans with friends sometimes because I had to get a show out there. Combine that with setting a weekly deadline for myself, and it's a lot of stress that I can't justify. So I'm trying to take that time back a bit and make sure I can balance my personal/work life better with this. That's really the goal here. |

Here is my completely genuine reaction to this news. Spoiler: click to toggle But more seriously, this actually is fine. Do not push yourselves so hard that this no longer is any fun for you guys. In the end, we're all just here to enjoy Quality Wrestling Entertainment, and (hopefully) everyone understands that real life has to come first. Edited by Introbulus, Mar 28 2016, 10:14 AM.

Like I said to BRYN when Waifu Wres stopped being weekly, "Not weekly? Not a problem. It's always worth the wait." I can totally see why you'd need more time, what with the arena changing visuals every episode, and of course that niggling little background noise called life. You guys deserve breathers, and if it's every other week that you need a breather, that's just the way it is. Looking forward to Mega Evolution and everything else that follows! |

Remember last year when we were excited for this?
|
After three years or so of "Step it up [whoever]", this change makes a lot of sense. In addition to everything else, the show has become WAY more complicated than it was in the early days, and for this season to even go as far as to make a new arena for each weekly show as well? Of course it would take a lot of work from everyone. |

The arena's not really that hard. It's entering all the lines from our scripts into the game, it's recording plot segments that need to be recorded to splice together, recording tag team entrances because there's no graceful way to make it work, rendering all of that, and dealing with a ton of loading in-between it all. It takes a lot of time away from us and adds to the stress of a short deadline every week. With two weeks, we can plan ahead better. We can get some things out of the way earlier to spread the work out. We can use our time for more personal things without worrying as much about the show. It'll be easier on us and that'll be for the better. |

Completely happy with this, there's plenty of shows, they're long when they come (generally 2-3 hours outside of PPV's which can go even longer) and it keeps the quality high. Do what is best for you, we're here for the ride. |

Before saying anythign negative, I'm just gonna say that the reason you do it is very good and that I perfectly understand it. You guys want more time, less stress, try to still make good shows, they are all very good reasons that no one could argue against. BUT, I can't stop myself from thinking about that time you asked us about the vierwership dropping, about what could go better with this show and what could be done. Since that time, you made run-in in two main-events and now you are changing the schedule of the show. I'm not saying these decisions were bad choices. The run-ins were an attempt to bring heat toward Shadaloo and this bi-weekly thign is for the best of all of you, wich is more important than a hobby. I don't think anyone here should say that your mental healt and your personal life is less important than seeing AI facing themself in a ring. I'm just saying that if the numbers of viewers drop even a lil' more this season you shouldn't get surprised. It's not about bad decisions from you, I believe at 100% that you should prioritise the personal life of you, Kryptik and Cran before this show, but I'm pretty sure this decision gonna have a bad impact on this show. It's a fair price to pay for a better life and I think you deserve that ''break'', I just hope that if the number drops you ain't gonna be too hard on yourself, we all know you are doing the best you can. |
