Still no Jontron today, but a Team Flare member is in here and I'm contractually obligated to make sure we go over.

Buck Bumble vs. Gene Starwind- Quite a tough first choice, being that these are both catchy songs with unintelligible lyrics. Buck Bumble's theme manages to have a dance-type feel while also remaining at a relaxed pace, and it's generally a fun song to listen to. Gene's theme is in Japanese or some other anime language, but that doesn't hinder my enjoyment of it whatsoever, it's also a catchy song that uses some rock-and-influence and probably takes from other genres too, I don't know, I don't listen to music. While I find Buck's theme to be more catchy overall, I find Through The Night to work better as a hype theme, so I'm voting for that.

Ryune Zoldark vs Cirno- Ryune's theme is an example of where my inability to understand the lyrics hinder my enjoyment of the song, as it's a slower, more vocal-led song, the impact from the words don't hit anywhere near as hard as they should, plus, it doesn't work very well as an entrance theme imo tbh. Cirno's theme, has a nice piano/drum/some other instrument mix that I think works well in keeping the original composition of the song while also creating a fast pace that adds energy to it.

Greninja vs Jim Raynor- Greg's theme has this nice little club-like beat that unfortunately doesn't really go anywhere that it needs to, instead of getting a "AW, HERE COMES GRENINJA" feel from it, it just creates a "oh hey here comes Greninja" feeling that doesn't help much on hyping him up. Jim's theme, on the other hand, is a good example of how you don't need to be a extremely-fast paced song to generate hype for a character. Raynor's supposed to be a badass, right? Because that's exactly what the song says for him, and it works amazingly, it's not a song you have to rush down the ramp to, it's one you can take at any pace and appreciate the intimidating character that's about to wrestle.

Danny Sexbang vs. The Empire- The Empire's theme is another tag team theme taken from a real life wrestling promotion however I don't think it's based off a pun of any kind and therefore it's trash. The theme itself is fine, but I myself just can't get into it, I'm not saying it's a bad song nor can I say it doesn't fit for wrestling, but it just doesn't click with me. Danny's theme, to contrast, is very much not a wrestling theme, it's type of genre normally shouldn't work for wrestling, but it fits Danny as an entrance theme so well that it's hard to not to enjoy. An amazing song to be interrupted by Jon's when he proves who's the superior Not So Grump.

Surprised Sponge lost his match with you, with how often you're putting yourself over.

Forever Miku's loyal fan.
1. Gene Starwind (The Outlaw Star theme "Through the Night" is a legendary masterpeice just as much as the anime itself is. Buck Bumble's theme is ok but choosing that over this song is pure insanity in my opinion)

2. Cirno (Ryune's theme is fine but Cirno's pretty much wins this not only through recognition, but through the fact that it's a pretty catchy tune to listen to.)

3. Jim Raynor (Can't really get into the Gym Leader battle theme in Pokemon X/Y but the Terran theme has a very melodic tune that I could easily enjoy without complaint.)

4. Danny Sexbang (This was pretty obvious to choose. I mean I wouldn't play Danny's theme in public but I'd lie if I said it wasn't catchy as hell to listen to as well.)

Through the Night is certainly a very catchy theme, but it hasn't really grown on me yet (I never watched Outlaw Star, it's on my to-do list). Besides, whenever I hear that 'Whataboutnowitstimetorockwiththebiggitybuckbumble' I end up marking because bees. Point to Buck Bumble

Ryune's theme isn't bad, let's get that straight. It's a very nice Japanese theme that sorta would give me insight into her character if I spoke Japanese. That said, Cirno's gives me flashbacks to those old 8-bit and 16-bit themes that I grew up around, which is a very good thing, so she's picking up another point from me.

It's hard for Pokemon to churn out a bad track, at least to me, and the XY Gym Leader theme is no exception to this. It's bouncy, catchy, and definitely is something you could play in a Las Vegas club and no one would be any the wiser. That said, Jim Raynor knocks it out of the park here, his theme a very good brooding, creeping awesome. He hasn't had the in ring career to match his great theme yet, but as long as his theme doesn't change I'll not be complaining when he steps between the ropes.

Okay this last one can't drag a paragraph out of me. I like the Young Buck's theme, it's fine, but...It's Ninja Sex Party. I'll eat my hat if they don't win here.

There's one thing that's consistent with Genes across the board, and that's hype themes. Gene, Ryune, Jim Raynor and Danny.

Buck Bumble's theme is probably the main reason Buck Bumble is in BWA. The chat can't help but sing along as soon as his music hits.
Ryune Zoldark's theme is slightly more tolerable than Cirno's theme. Maybe I shouldn't be allowed to vote in weeaboo contests.
Jim Raynor's theme, like most Terran music in the StarCraft series, is perfect theme music to represent our planet in war, just as I'd pick "Baba Yetu" to represent our planet in peace. I wish Jimmy didn't have to go against Greninja, who also has a fantastic theme. This was a very tough choice, and I wish Greninja could have a second chance in this tournament.
Danny Sexbang brings Ninja Sex Party's awesome music to BWA, and "FYI I Wanna F Your A" is one of their best songs. It perfectly represents him and his entrance.

Gene Starwind wins with a 17-12 score, Cirno wins 26-3, Greninja scrapes by 16-13, and Danny Sexbang moves on with 24-5 score.

With that, let's move on the next round!
