![]() ON THIS DAY IN 2014: Belmont's brainchild, VGCW: Arena was born this day, two years ago, in 2014, and holy hell was it fun, frustrating at times, and overall just a grand ol' time. There were 2 VGCW E-fed shows before this, but Belmont really perfected the format, and got the community involved in a way that was fun, interactive, and creative. Between all of the internet disconnects, server fuck-ups, , and just the overall game that is/was WWE 2K14, at it's core, VGCW: Arena was about fun, and I had fun as a viewer of Arena, and I know a lot of the combatants did too. Belmont, you should feel proud of your former show, and your current show, BWA. Thank you. Unfortunately, episode 1 is lost to time, so here's episode 2 of VGCW: Arena - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLzIRuJY4lIazK8PzcKvFypisFgAGvvae The last episode of VGCW: Arena (Episode 32) - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-IjBJh27ULDgSOpmIMvWBo122QJSO6uY To all of the VGCW: Arena participants, thank you for putting on 32 awesome shows, and to Belmont for putting up with WWE 2K14's shoddy servers and people's internet's cutting out. What are your favorite VGCW: Arena matches and moments? https://drive.google.com/open?id=12tbI2brl-Uz8LwZLth6OKR-zLKANf3g1CVT2dcoOyIw - Link to all VGCW: Arena broadcasts. It's a shame that first episode is lost in time for me, just for the fact I was on it (Gutsman vs Team Flare Grunt) and later that night I think we also played in a 6 women ladder match that had fucking princess Kenny on it. I would like to watch that first show again, but that said, yeah Arena was really fun times. Edited by JNT, Mar 30 2016, 06:44 PM.

BRYN vs. Koopa Iron Man for the title is an underrated classic. It saw the first appearance of future VGCW superstar Ridley as well as this incredible sync. To me, it's definitely one of ARENA's quintessential matches. |

Forever Miku's loyal fan.

To be honest on a personal level, ARENA was pretty much my slow developed ascension to falling for Miku, Vocaloids and chaos in general. Which is why I loved this show all the same. ARENA had a lot of memorable moments and I honestly feel it went out on a really good note. (Had I managed to purchase a PS3 at the time, I would've joined the show in a heartbeat.) We built a wall, and stopped them all

Reminder that ARENA's first ever match was Sho getting beaten up by a vocaloid. RIP Cran |

Remember last year when we were excited for this?
|
I'm still convinced Cran made Belmont make that match on purpose. |

I just realized that on the second episode that is linked up here, this was the night Miku was pretty much booked twice after her first win against Jenny. This was also the night I got to witness Belmont's, Egoraptor's and Elvis's awesome entrances for the first time. |

This show lured me in with it's siren call of insane plot and matches and for once propelled me to actually join up with something, and I'm damn glad I did. I feel that the greatest Arena match of all time is the non-stop tour-de-force of stupid that was Desu vs Ckeo Seriously its nuts |
