Is losing to Virgil really that big a deal? It's really not that big of a deal considering that Virgil didn't get his stats reduced and that losing a vs WWE match means literally nothing to the future of one's VGCW career but since it's a dumb and fun thing to constantly remind people in chat about, it's a big deal.

Oh. Huh, well alright. I hope he's able to put this behind him at some point.

I think the only real argument against Dan is that he's had a main title shot relatively recently.
That was both over a year and exactly two full seasons ago. Since then the title has been defended 7 times against 6 different challengers. Dan's waited long enough. It's triple crown time. Yeah, I think thats long enough for anyone to get another title shot
In terms of Dante, I don't think the VGCW universe is going to stop reminding Dante that he lost to Virgil anytime soon, if ever.

I mean people gave Air Man shit about getting eliminated from the rumble by Virgil, and that's completely meaningless in game and Air Man is probably the strongest person in VGCW at the moment, so yeah. Dante has a lot to work off.

Also that was a rumble so it was about as impactful as a slap in the face compared to what Dante is dealing with...also Air Man is a straight beast in singles so...he got over it

Dante constantly acts like he's the hottest shit on the block, so even if you have no idea who Virgil is, seeing him lose to this dancing guy in striped pants, then the following night getting completely demolished by his own tag team partner with the line "You lost to Virgil"...
And then getting chased away from the ring when the entire crowd called him out...
We aren't going to let go of it anytime soon.

This was a tough batch, mainly because of the first one. Duke's write-up later today. He's... a really tough one to examine.
Demoman Matches: Beat Zangief, Lost to Deadly Alliance (w/Vyse), Lost to Nappa (Triple Threat, out second), Beat FF3&K (w/Vyse, slowest beat the clock time)
Plot: Stole Ganon's briefcase, wanted to hide it with that nice Cena fellow.
Let's get the elephant out of the room first. We'll discuss the briefcase shenanigans when we get to Ganon and Vyse as they were the main actors in this plot. As for Tavish Degroot, other than the actual theft, he mercifully stayed out of most of this mess. That gave him plenty of time to focus on his in-ring career. Or just get drunk. Probably the latter. Seriously, how does this guy get a job while Link is stuck in rehab?
But in all seriousness, things have been rocky for the scottish cyclops since his debut. It seems that success or failure in EDBW seems to be completely reversed when you get to the main roster. Once considered EDBW's top star, and the real reason the rogues got called up, the Demoman fell into some rocky seas post-debut. Meanwhile, Guybrush, the forgotten member of the trio was the first one to make a name for himself. So Demo had a lot of ground to make up this season.
Things started well this season, as his winless record was broken by defeating Zangief outside of the curtain jerk. Not the most impressive win, but definitely a good start. And then he got put into matches involving Scorpion and Nappa, both guaranteed to kill your momentum, or your money back. To be fair, he did quite well in the triple threat, and fairly okay in the tag match, but it just wasn't enough to pull off either upset. That, combined with an odd lack of booking lead to a very quiet season. Demo at least ended the season with a tag win in a delightful clusterfuck match against FF3&K.
Overall, a fairly average season, and he's stopped the bleeding from season 11. But he'll need more than average to re-take his crown as the former 5-star machine of EDBW.

Dracula
Matches: No Contest with Barret (VGCW Title), Lost to Shadaloo, Beat Barret (VGCW Title VS Career), Lost to Guybrush and Phoenix (with Wily), Lost to Phoenix (VGCW Title)
Plot: Announced Blood Money, gave Ganon shit for wanting a title match, granted Barret a two title shots, said hi to Alucard, pipe bombed Flint, championship banter with Phoenix.
Second only to the doctor of swag in improvements during the TOH era, Dracula has been living his unlife up for the past two seasons. Riding a phenominal season 11 that culminated in Dracula defending his title against Air Man, handing the robot his first and only loss in a long time, the champire felt bored. His cure for that was an open challenge where he would fight the most worthy challenger. He found a man willing to risk everything, a man who was given his first chance by GM Dracula, Barret Wallace. Dracula accepted Barret as worthy and the two did battle at Blood Money. Barret gave everything he had, and set up for one last Big Shot... and then Bison ruined everything.
We would later find out that Dracula kicked out, retaining his title in a No Contest. Oddly, Bison seemed to be the least of Dracula's priorites, taking his team's loss to Shadaloo quite casually, and letting Flint deal with Bison while the Champire turned his attention back to his old challenger. Some encouragement later, and the two did battle in a fantastic iron man match. But in the end, Barret's best just wasn't good enough. Dracula shocked everyone, kicking out of one last Hammerblow, and followed it up with one last Dark Burial to put Barret's career six feet under. It was fantastic payoff for a feud that went on entirely too long, and Dracula looked to the royal rumble winner.
Enter Phoenix Wright. I'll touch on their history more when we get to Phoenix's write-up, but suffice it to say the two know each other very well. Phoenix joined the drac pack, Dracula broke the Streak, Phoenix ejected Dracula from the second GM tournament... They have a long and storied history, but Dracula was clearly underestimating his challenger, dismissing Phoenix as an obligation to be dealt with, up until the lawyer rose from the ashes once more and beat Dracula in a tag match.
Then the fight was on, as Dracula gleefully encouraged Phoenix to not disappoint him in their fight, and at the end of the night, we can be sure Dracula wasn't disappointed in Phoenix's spirit. No matter what Dracula did... DVD, Dark Burial, Impaler... even a Vampire's Kiss where Dracula got a taste of Phoenix's blood... it wasn't enough to keep him down. Finally, Dracula was forced to go for a dirty pin, but even that backfired, giving Phoenix the opening he needed to land one last Verdict. Dracula ended the season on his back, his precious title lost in the latest chapter of one of the most storied rivalries in the league: The prince of the night who keeps resurrecting from his casket, and the lawyer who just keeps rising from the ashes.
Overall, Dracula had a great run, holding the title for a season and a half, taking out the strongest wrestler in the league, sending Barret into retirement, before dropping the title to perhaps the most appropriate challenger. HIs reign could have gone longer, but a season and a half is nothing to be ashamed of. ...Too bad he spent entirely too long dealing with Barret.

Duke was a floundering and rather bland face until he went to WVGCW and made love to a semen demon before hitting a baker woman in the face because he's an asshole. He then returned to VGCW and stomped all over a fratboy but lost because said fratboy's girlfriend knows how to interupt pins properly. His future goals involve sending some dirty commie into retirement and most likely banging your girlfriend.
tl;dr: Duke's a prick but he has direction for the first time in a long while and will send Guile to the wood chipper. TRENDING: UP!
Duke done. Next.

Duke being a better manager for Morrigan than Morrigan is for him just feels so right for this relationship.

Demo's highlight was securing the briefcase, then he sorta faded into the background, which is a real bummer after such a fantastic move.
Drac, I am sure, will be back.

Guybrush was not the forgotten member of his team. Plus, if they wanted to just call up Demoman they could have, I like to think there are good plans for the Blu Rouges, just gonna take some time.

I need to stop setting deadlines for this, it never works.
Duke Nukem
Matches: Won a Fatal-Four Way KO Match, Beat Kanji (MitB Qualifier), Didn't win MitB, Lost a Triple Threat, Lost to Scorpion (Tables), Lost to Jimmy Lee
Plot: Loved Mama... then dumped her for Morrigan
There are just two season 1 veterans left on the roster who have never held a title. (3 if you count Bowser's asterisked title reign) Oddly enough, both have... issues with women. Duke and Ezio. Duke has always been kind of just lazing around on the roster. Good enough to get the rare title shot and be seen as a consistent top card threat, but never really good enough to succeed at the top. This season offered the first chance Duke has had in a long time to finally get his ass in gear and stand out from the crowd.
That was mostly due to his newfound romance with Cooking Mama, in a rare canonization of the @home universe. (Yes, I know it's the most canon.) By breaking with his canon self and trying to settle down, we got a lot of character development for Duke and Mama, some really good cross promotion, and Duke hanging out on WVGCW... which honestly has seemed like a better use for him lately. Plus it got him a lot more interest and crowd support, as people rallied behind Papa, even after a stinker of a match against Kanji and a pair of very close, but very brutal losses.
And then Morrigan happened. We all hoped it would end any other way, but nope. In one of the most brutal betrayals in VGCW history, he sided with the succubus and laid his former Mama out with a chair. Duke was back to being the horrible womanizer he used to be, and was showing off his new babe to the world. Unfortunately for Duke, she hasn't quite learned the art of properly messing with a ref, letting Jimmy Lee turn around a match Duke would have normally won quite handily.
But this heel turn came at the perfect time to keep Duke relevant as he was getting very stale. Now he's got one last match against his old partner and arch-enemy lined up, as he works to get out a bad run that's put his momentum ranking in the pits. Hard to believe Guile's now the face in this match-up.
In short: Hail ADVENT, we don't hit women with chairs. #GuileWasRight
Trending: Singles: Down Plot: Hail to the king, baby.

There are no faces in this matchup. Guile is in fact an asshole just like Duke.
