Either Guile gets a graceful ending on his feet or Duke can get full heel heat if Duke does win and decides to...maybe do to Guile what he did to Mama.

E is for... Enhancement Talent?
Earl
Matches: Lost to Fisherman's Horizon, Lost to the Fuckheads, Lost to the Mavericks, Lost to Sonic Truffle.
Plot: Hometown welcome in Funkatron.
Since Earl didn't get a singles match this season and Toejam did, I'll just use this space to talk about their team. These two have had quite the ups and downs, haven't they? From popular EDBW call-ups to massive losing streak.. to a remake that took them to the top of the division... And now, well... they're definitely in a major slump, as they've seemed mostly unable to adjust to the TOH era as a team.
It's hard to pinpoint what exactly is going wrong, but considering their last loss was getting styled on in 13:37 by comedy jobbers Sonic Truffle, they really need to take some teamwork seminars or something. Matches are constantly getting funked up, and perhaps it's time for Big Earl to try out some singles matches. He does have one of the most hype finishers in the league, after all, and in the TOH era, he's been a bit less of a weiner in matches than his tag partner. (Note: The dragons need to be executed for having transitional vertebreakers. Not even Monobear pulled that shit.)
Trending: Down
Ebisumaru
Matches: Lost a triple threat (out first), Lost to Kefka, Lost to Two-Timing
Plot: Joined Vegeta's royal court as the Jester and human answering machine~. Mourned Goemon's apparent death.
Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it. With Falcon gone, Ebisu is the new worst wrestler in the entire league. He hasn't won a match in the TOH era and hasn't looked particularly good in any of his losses. And for Ebisu, that's okay. All anyone really expects from him is to just come out, twerk a bit, and put someone over. It's just what he does. Plus, as a member of Vegeta's court, he's gotten a nice little push out of the deal, and is now in a tag team with Arino that may go places. Or it may just end up with Ebisu eating more pins. ...I don't think he particularly minds~
Trending: Down
Ezio
Matches: Lost a Fatal-Four Way KO Match (out second), Lost to Reyn, Lost a Fatal-Four Way KO match (out third), Lost to Blood Falcon (KO Match), Beat M. Bison (KO Match), Lost to Shin Bison (KO Match)
Plot: Worked with Salvation Ops to rescue Falcon. Fought Bison, watched as Falcon took Bison with him.
Spoiler Warning: I'm not particularly fond of Ezio, but I'll try to be fair here.
Ezio, the only other season 1 veteran who has never tasted gold. I'm.. honestly surprised he lasted through the season, but we'll get to that. Season 11 brought new life into a worn out old assassin, as his new skirt-chasing personality coincided with him actually winning matches for the first time in a long time. And then Barret happened and it has been downhill for Ezio ever since.
Without Falcon, Ezio spent most of his time brooding about the lost Il Capitano and trying to hunt down his missing friend. It was kind of a drag after the.. well. fun Ezio that we had last season. With the dip in his demeanor, Ezio's win rate plummeted as well. ...Although maybe he's just really bad at KO matches now that I look at this season. Regardless of the reason, Ezio went from nearly undefeated last season to only winning in a plot match to a guy that immediately hulked up and destroyed him. He even has a loss to Blood Falcon on his record. Ouch. And then his best friend killed himself in front of him.
Basically, being Ezio seems to be nothing but suffering these days. I kinda expected Endgame to be Ezio's graceful retirement, as he's proven quite unsuccessful at most levels, and there's not much left he can really try to do. Instead, he was given the mantle to take up the hunt, which I assume means more gritty serious Ezio, which is kind of the last thing he needs. If Ezio's going to stick around, he really needs to go back to the fun of season 11, rather than get stuck around Snake and Jensen. And winning a bit more wouldn't hurt. Perhaps avoid KO matches like the plague?

Earl had a singles match. He lost against Seifer. ToeJam won his way into Money in the Bank and he was able to impress me in those three minutes of that match by taking it to Bowser so I don't understand why you're being harsher on ToeJam than Earl.

I somehow completely blanked on the KotW tournament and skipped past it on the doc when doing this post. Huh. I'll rewatch that match later and update Earl's post. I just kinda completely blanked on him being in the tournament.
As for being harsher on TJ, well, wait for TJ's write-up, but I honestly think Earl's been the stand-out of the two post remake, at least in the tag matches they've had.

Ebi hasn't had a real impressive or convincing win since his shock victory over Bowser in the second Great Tournament.
Remember when everyone thought he might have been a hidden beast waiting to be unleashed? Seems kinda silly now, don't it?

I feel like Earl has been given more chances at singles matches then Toejam and the ones Toejam was in he did pretty well in.
I'm not saying he's a singles monster, I'm just saying he could be capable of more on his own then we know. We just don't have the data to say ether way.

Wasn't Toejam styling on Bowser during the MitB match? Granted, he didn't get to do much because Dorfwinslol, but still.

It's really hard to read too much into a ladder match that only lasted 3 minutes, so all I've really got to go on is the six-man match (which admittedly, he won) and the tag matches... which have not gone nearly so well lately. Pre-remake, TJ was definitely the better of the two. Post-remake, I'd give it to Earl, but I'll touch on my reasoning in more detail when I get to him. Basically, TJ did better in his outing this season, but I think Earl's going to be the one to watch in the future.

Blame Monster Hunter Generations. I'm gonna get some more out now before I can blame Ace Attorney 6.
Flint
Matches: Beat the Fuckheads, Lost to Bowser (MitB Qualifier), Lost to Shadaloo, Beat Bison, Lost to Octodad
Plot: Supported Barret, Took out Barret on his way out, Brainwashed by M. Bison, ditched Bison to join the Patriots
Flint is the epitome of a struggling midcarder. He looks good in matches, but is never consistent enough to get to a title. The early part of this season rang true, picking up a tag win, and then promptly losing his moment and a MitB shot to Bowser. Plotwise, he ended up second fiddle to Barret, as the supportive mentor everyone expected him to be. He dropped the ball against Shadaloo but took out Bison, and could have continued his trajectory as a face, but then Barret lost at Mega Evolution... and something unexpected happened.
Creative took a huge risk turning Flint heel, and it started with a fantastic promo that summed up exactly why Flint would turn to the dark side. Unfortunately every last ounce of heat he had would fall victim to the Shadaloo curse and Octodad burying him. That was the last we saw of Flint until Endgame, where he stuck around long enough to tell Bison to fuck off before walking out with Asura.
Flint's in an interesting time. His momentum's drained, but his team with Asura and exploring the depths of his new heel character could provide the fresh spark this old vet needs. Lord knows he wasn't getting anywhere as things were going. But only time will tell, but it's a make-or-break time for Flint going forward.

Ganondorf
Matches: Beat Haggar (MitB Qualifier), Won MitB, Lost to Edgeworth
Plot: Argued with Dracula, Argued with Bowser, the Briefcase mess.
You know, this seemed like it'd be a different season for Ganondorf. Following up his six-star match with Kanji, we saw a return to his old form for Ganon, as he smashed Haggar to win his way into Money in the Bank. He then proceeded to prove himself the smartest man in the ring, winning it in just a few minutes. From there... let me just quote Prozach. "VGCW's MitB is a curse that no one deserves."
Ganon didn't really have a match until just before Mega Evolution, when things started to go horribly wrong. He'd lose the triforce of power to the Gameshark and get beaten half to death by Miles Edgeworth in one of the most humiliating matches of his career. Then to top it off, the trio of pirates known as the BLU Rogues stole his briefcase, leaving Ganon unable to get his greatest redemption.
From there... We had the rogues dance around what they actually wanted, (presumably it wasn't actually the triforce of power), make Ganon act as their manager in two tag matches, and then Ganon found the WHATIF machine. He used it to get his briefcase back, and then... that was that? He even acted as a manager after taking the briefcase, only using the advantage of surprise to... promo at Dracula? I guess none of the rogues could afford to get smashed by Ganon at Endgame, as both Vyse and Demoman have very fragile momentum right now.. and Guybrush was busy getting murdered by Wily. And to top it all off, Dracula cut the lights, letting Phoenix evade a cash-in and ensuring Ganon was left but nothing but the briefcase and his anger. An utterly miserable season for Ganondorf, but at least he has that title shot for a record-breaking fourth VGCW championship reign. If he avoids getting further cursed by this briefcase.
Now, if anyone on creative reads this thread, I really want to know. What happened with this plot? It seemed to lag along, then it just fizzled. Did Guybrush's title shot mess things up? Was it aborted to not risk Demo or Vyse? Was it just avoiding the risk of Ganon losing his briefcase that he earned?

For Flint, I can only hope they exploit his status as a genuine Cowboy and member of the Patriots.
As for Ganondorf...man I can only imagine Creative *desperately* wanted to keep Ganondorf away from the belt at least a little bit longer, because the last thing this season needed was another start to a thousand years of darkness.

Shame the rouges got caught up in it all, they didn't need the bad press at this point n their run.

I hope the Briefcase plot extends into next season. If it ends now, then it ended too abruptly for my tastes especially since we don't know The Rogues' reaction to having the briefcase be stolen back.
I wouldn't want Vyse, Demoman, and Guybrush's first storyline in VGCW to be so awkward for them. I don't exactly feel sympathetic to Ganondorf in this situation, but I can't really approve of The Rogues just taking the briefcase from him.

I am eagerly waiting for your Groose evaluation. IMO, after an amazing Season 11, he was one of the characters who lost the most momentum in Season 12.
