I think if you can give him a helmet it would distinguish himself a bit more (if there is one available). I think giving him a moonsault would be a good move also |

Well after reading this month's Game Informer, I couldn't help but create this guy. After Red's loss to Segata, he made a call, a call to a certain Captain. Spoiler: click to toggle

I think both Captain and the 80's cartoon Simon should get in and form N Team (I pity the...uh...sprites!) |

dude no offense but all your caws have nearly the same exact face. Not many of your guys look like the character in question and making a good Captain N is certainly possible with the confines of the editor. You rarely edit the nose or general facial structure of your CAWS. Also you forgot the most important part of Captain N: the controller pad belt. Also, there's a track jacket in game. Might want to use that. |

I think we should just have another thread for CAWs that are non submissions. This thread is just getting far to cluttered with "hey this is a caw I made" instead of actual submissions. If everything posted here is an entry then fine. Let's just post the Finished product only. |

well for one thing, I can't use a jacket with the gun because the gun takes up almost all the points, leaving none left for a jacket AND pants (I know I tried). Ok, sure I CAN use tights...but Captain N doesn't wear Tights does he? I'm trying to figure out where to put the controller don't worry. I've never been very good with faces, even more so with anime faces. (for the record, I DID mess with the nose and facial features...its just slight and my images aren't as clear as they can be with my TV and camera...) I'm no SNS I admit but I HAVE submitted most of these wrestlers, the ones I haven't I'm still working on but the faces, your not the first one to say I have issues with the face, it just doesn't help that the editor does faces rather poorly and trying to make them less than default is extremely hard. Atleast I'm trying damnit. No one tells me whats wrong with my creations so how can improve? Your really the first one to say anything negative about my creations so do tell, how can I make it better, because I do want these creations to MAYBE make it into VGCW one day, however unlikely that is. use decals and custom logos more. there's a lot of CAW's out there that have gun holsters painted on. It's not too hard to make, especially zappers. Belt's look HORRIBLE with jackets anyways, 90% of the time due to clipping. Just mess with things more, options you don't really use. I can't tell you exactly how to make good CAWs. Just gotta experiment. |

What I've found does the most with faces is the 'chin' setting. Adjusting the depth of that, along with the upper line, thickness, etc, really helps you control the roundness of the face. It takes it a while to make it not look disturbing (my first Abobo attempt had these eyes that sunk deep into his face, giving him a neanderthal forehead and looking like he's staring from the gates of Hell). The 'cranium' option also helps control the height and depth of the head. I've done a Manny Calavera and a Cortex, and that feature helped immensely with those; think a squarer head for Guts Man would help it out. As for Kevin Keene, dude needs a softer face. Go to textures and see what you can work out there. Using this as reference... ![]() Dude seems to have a very smooth complexion, ears that stick out a bit, larger eyes, eyebrows that curve downward, and a slightly pronounced and rounded chin. Also just paint on the jacket if you have to. Torn peasant shirt looks bad. I'd submit my crap but most of it is crap and ha figuring out how capture technology works, you're silly. I can't be bothered to learn basic programs and put down any MONEY for things. Edited by pyrrhickong, Aug 14 2013, 11:14 PM.

Ok, so I first got my head out of my ass and took another shot at Captain N with what pyrrhickong suggested for the face, removed the 'jacket' and tried again, I think a got a bit closer this time. Once I get the body and face right I'll work on the entrance then moveset and submit him for real. first the face: Spoiler: click to toggle and the body: Spoiler: click to toggle

Think you could get the sports coat? I think it's used in one of the templates, like... Template 6 or something. I don't remember if it opens, but the while popped collar adds to the overall 80's-ness of the character... which he needs because it's what he lives on. Face is much nicer, though! Maybe raise the eyebrows a bit, make the color of the eyes a little less aqua and a little more of a dull baby blue, otherwise edits are leagues better. Edited by pyrrhickong, Aug 15 2013, 01:26 AM.

Sadly I don't have the points for the ANY jacket if I'm using the Zapper. Also the sports coat is closed so it would also hide the controller belt...only way around it is to give him tights instead of jeans (and Captain N don't wear tights.) I'll edit the eye color and eyebrows then finish his moveset and his entrance so I can officially submit him Edited by slashkamei, Aug 15 2013, 07:55 AM.
