All of the shots fired at Microsoft by Sony was hilarious. Super hype for SSB4 as well. I think the only downside to Nintendo's presentation was how laggy the stream was. For this next gen, it looks like Microsoft is going to be the laughing stock. |

aside from the shots fired at M$ and the SE finally getting off their ass announcement the rest of sonys conference was incredible weak, to much focus on games that are gonna be on ps3 or multiplats nothing software wise really screamed BUY A PS4! gonna take more then not fucking me in the ass for me to get your console sony, the AC game crashing didn't make things any better either I didn't see all of M$'s conference but what i saw was pretty impressive(which thinking about it now blows my mind) they seemed to be completely focused on the next gen and the games that are going to be on those consoles, the price point on the xbone was a big damper on the conference though nintendo has smash, thats pretty much the only thing at E3 i was ever hyped for |

Context: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBoL1Ic9uWw Because one person maybe asked for this character jokingly at one point. To be fair though, I was won over once I saw her absolutely amazing edge wiggle animation. ![]() It make sense that the main character for a game about balancing literally cannot become unbalanced in any situation. |

The Strongest There Is

I think my chosen avatar should express my opinion on the WiiFit Trainer quite succinctly.![]() As absolutely killer as the Villager and the Mega Man reveals were (and in the case of the former...), I've gotten much more excited over her than I really ever expected to. The more media that comes out regarding her, the more fun she just seems to appear. I really love her kinds of characters, anyways - characters who're not-fighting-fighters (for lack of a better expression), where the harm they dole out is purely incidental to whatever they're doing. The Downward Dog to destruction, my friends. |

I really don't think the Wii Fit trainer is such a bad idea. If her character plays well enough then she'll be a fun addition to the roster I think. The thing that I would like to see them do the most with the next Super Smash is ELIMINATE CLONES. Sweet merciful heavens please do away with clones. The Star fox characters are the worst offenders of this by far. Maybe it's just my ignorance but I really don't think it should be so difficult for them to make characters have their own unique move sets and just don't waste time on clone characters. |

Yeah WiiFit trainer isn't weirder than Mr. Game and Watch is and people love that dude I liked Nintendo best. They showed 1 game I want to purchase, as opposed to all other companies who showed 0 games i want to purchase. (On the fence about Metal Gear 5) |

Been under a rock since S4

Hearing that Capcom is making Dead Rising 3 for the "Call of Duty market" and seeing almost nothing that made the old DRs fun in the gameplay demos really depressed me. Aside from that though, I was pleasantly surprised with how decent this E3 has been. |

I think Wii Fit Trainer is a good way to represent Nintendo's "casual miscellanea" genre that has become so prevalent in the past few years. Smash is about celebrating Nintendo in general, after all, so they needed some method of including what has become a significant chunk of Nintendo's catalog. I'm not particularly interested in any of the new systems yet. I like Smash, but it's going to be on 3DS as well so maybe I'll just buy that one instead of paying six or seven times as much to play a different version. The Xbox One is ludicrous and way worse than the PS3's rocky start, because the One's flaws mostly have to do with the system itself and cannot be fixed (unlike things like price drops and new games). I buy almost all my games used, so I'd never ever buy a One or any other system that tries to move towards eliminating that function. For now, I'm perfectly happy with a 3DS as my only next-gen system. There's so many games I haven't even played yet for the systems I already own, and my favorite franchises aren't showing up on the other systems yet, so I have absolutely no problem waiting or passing them by entirely. |

Yeah, I don't pay for online. I don't do enough online gaming to justify it and I strongly dislike subscriptions of any kind. I buy a game once and then I'm done. If there's a PS4 game I want to play online I'll just mooch off my brother's account if it's like that 360 nonsense where everyone has to pay separately. I vote for Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft. Sony takes my top vote because not only did it demolish the Xbox One, it mixed interesting games with information about the console. Really, my only complaints were the announcement of PS4 having monthly online pay (but it's tied in with PS+ so it's not that big of a drawback, plus it's only 5 bucks), and not giving a specific release date besides "this holiday season" Nintendo was awesome too, mostly for all of the new games they showed. ESPECIALLY Smash Brothers and the new Donkey Kong; those are pretty much making me want to buy a Wii U. The only reason they're not number one is because they just announced the obvious; new Mario games, new DK, blah blah blah, same ol' Nintendo. Not that any of the games are boring; but it wasn't really a big shocker. Do I really have to say anything for Microsoft? They sucked ass. They sucked balls. They sucked ass balls. They refused to address anything related to their controversy to their console, showed no good/interesting games; even the game that tempted me (Killer Instinct) turned out to be a fraud, and really the only thing that I would like to play is Sunset Overdrive, but even then, it looks like Brink 2: Electric Boogaloo. Microsoft and all the other companies murdered E3, Sony revived it, and Nintendo made sure it didn't die again. |

Pretty much all of this. Sony did win the E3 hands down, regardless of what any NeoGaf, /v/, Redditer, etc has to say about it. Microsoft had zero answers for how much controversy was behind the Xbone. Plus, the only thing that was decent that they showed was KI 3 and it wasn't going to help the Xbone. Sure, Sony had some Multi-plats, but it wasn't like they were only running on them. PS+ being a mandatory for Online play sucks, but PS+ is amazing and it shouldn't be too big of a deal. I'm poor and I can afford PS+ somehow, so there should be no excuse from anyone saying that it's bullshit. I was expecting a little more from Nintendo, but then again, they didn't have a conference. I wanted to see some IPs come back and be amazing again. Isn't the Metroid 25th Anniversary coming soon and no Metroid game is out for Wii U? Weird. But, one thing I will commend Nintendo for is how professional Reggie is. Dorito Pope(Geoff Keighley), was consistently hounding the crap out of Reggie for not having any of his Dude Bro shit casual 3rd party games for the Wii U and Reggie just paid no mind and told him that he shouldn't jump to conclusions and be a journalist for once. ![]() This year's E3 was pretty good. Expected Ubi to have a better conference than "LOL IMMA SPIT JOKES ON PEOPLE BECAUSE I'M A TALL BLACK WOMAN AND SHIT". |

I actually didn't mind the fact that PS Plus is required for multiplayer now. Honestly, they've been hyping the benefits of PS Plus for quite some time now and continuing to improve and add even more value to the program. And by the time they managed to sneak in this new requirement, everyone was already so satisfied with the program that not a lot of people seemed to mind, myself included. Considering the ridiculous amount of free stuff I've gotten in the last year alone, I'll gladly keep paying into it. |
