Or Genesis for us in the US. I had both, and liked both a lot. Good times. But Ill go with SNES, if not just for the games that never made it here and gave me a crapton of enjoyment. Edited by Shoenin, Jun 11 2013, 04:13 PM.

Had both, but the SNES was my definite favorite. Too many great games to count. Honestly, once developers got past the custom sound architecture, it left the Genesis in the dust. |

SNES is a hard winner. As much as I love the Genesis/Mega Drive, it was completely ruined by the 32x add-on. |

SNES so many awesome titles, combined with Super Game Boy it had one the largest game libraries ever! |

Never owned a SNES growing up, but had a Genesis. My first console. Completely bias, but the Sega Genesis gets my vote~ |

Never had a Genesis as a kid, but I have gotten to playing one the past few years. Either way, SNES wins for me, you just can't beat a console with Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, and the first 2 DKCs |

I had a Genesis as a kid and I loved it but I have to admit that SNES has a nearly unbeatable game library. |

The Strongest There Is

The SNES, by a long mile. I'll admit, I was never really a Sega kid (but adored the Dreamcast, so there's that), but the SNES just had an incredible library. FFVI, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, I could go on, but my memories are fondest with the SNES. |

I love Altered Beast (wise fwom your gwave) and Phantasy Star but SNES has some truly incredible games. All-time best system for RPGs and has some decent action games as well. |

I have way too much history with the SNES not to vote for it here. All that time on Mario, MMX, and Chrono Trigger pretty much defined my high school days. |

Are we including the Sega CD with the Genesis or not? Because if so, it just barely gives the Genesis the edge for me. I love me some Eternal Champions: Challenge from the Dark Side. |

I was a Genesis kid, only switching allegiances to Nintendo around 1999/2000 because of Pokemon. SNES is a cool system but I wound up playing most of the games on it I wanted to play when they were rereleased on other systems, especially the GBA. |

The Super Nintendo had the superior library, but I'd say that... eh, about 70-75% of the 16-bit titles I've enjoyed the most were on the Genesis, if we're not counting multi-platform titles. |
