I'm over with some friends on Balmung, but I'd be down for making an alt on Phoenix with you guys.

Well, if you guys are rolling on Phoenix, I'll see if I can make a character as soon as I grab the game.

Are you guys just going for a linkshell, or are you going to go full hog and aim for a Free Company?

Uh, IIRC, part of the FF14 user agreement says ya can't stream videos of it...And, well...

EDIT: Ah, here's the bit in question:

Quote:

The video must not require a paid membership for viewing;
You may not monetize your video via the YouTube partner program or any similar programs on other video sharing sites.
You may not split our videos (vocal, music, visual, etc.) and distribute components as separate assets;
You may not combine or synchronize the Materials with third party content (e.g., a mash-up), but you may include the Materials alongside third party content (e.g., before or after in the same video) as long as you also have permission from the original copyright owner);

It's the second of those (the donate button on Twitch) that bothers me.

Hey, just necrobumping this thread to see if anyone else is still playing, or if the honeymoon ended violently.

I already quit due to the lack of endgame content and broken-beyond-repair economy.

Funny enough, 1.0 kept me occupied longer than this. A Realm Reborn has a wonderful story and world, but there's zero reason to continue playing once you finish the plot.

Now that I have two months under my belt, I am on the fence about quitting. I'm in a small FC of 5 people, two of us have been 50 in our main class for about a month, and the other 3 are working their way through the plot.

After two classes, the questing experience is toast, and with it most of the gil rewards. Recent changes to 50 dungeons help a little, but everybody I know is slowly bleeding gil. The economy is completely broken, and the gil sellers definitely did not help. It was nice to see their prices quickly nosediving; apparently carpet-bombing your ads in every zone shout channel isn't very effective on the whole.

What content there is to do is still enjoyable, but really repetitive. I can only do the same dungeons so many times, and FATES get very dull, especially with the FATE groups laying waste to stuff in seconds.

I could deal with most of that if it wasn't for the attitude (or entire lack of humanity) of most of the players I encounter. I pretty much only run high end content if it's with my FC members (which limits us to basically 50 dungeons) since any time I do pick-up content, someone ends up being berated. Thankfully it's usually not me, but apparently so many people have already forgotten that the game has only been out two months and there is a LOT of people just getting to the upper content. There are way too many people who bail on an initial failure, because apparently stuff is only worth doing if you can faceroll it.

It's sad, because the beta community was really good, and then when everything went live, everything went to hell.

I played The Game and got stuck with Dunn for a month.
Bumping to see if anyone still plays. New patch is gonna go live on the 17th, and I figured might as well bump.

I've been playing a lot, and it's def. fun for me, although I'm unsure which servers tend to be the most active of late.

I had a lot of fun playing, but after getting to Turn 5 of coil, my static group lost steam and I afterwards kinda got tired of the endgame grind. And since most the content of the next patch is designed to be pre-Coil, I don't really have that much to look forward to anytime soon, so with that I've subbed.

I still play, though not as much, due to a combination of not wanting to completely burn myself out and getting "distracted" by Dragon's Dogma and now WWE 2K14.

I'm actually pretty excited about 2.1, though that's mostly because of FC housing. Crystal Tower sounds interesting to me, though I suppose that's because I haven't reached endgame yet.

Currently playing the Beta for the PS4 version and I'm quite enjoying it. I'm hoping to get a few more things done before doing some actual exploration outside of the Shroud areas

Currently been playing it too and as someone whos never really played an MMO I have to say im hooked, even considering getting actually the game when it comes out on PS4, when before I'd have laughed at the idea for paying full price and a monthly subscription.

Once i hit the cap ill explore a bit and try some other classes out currently been playing as a Pugilist, but I at least want to try a magic class before the beta's up.
