Yeah, Kids really are that damn stupid

Edit: Dont care about this and the QQ about it is silly. Either way will be getting a Big 3DS soon anyways for pokeymanz. But man this thing looks butt ugly.

You can take absolute care of a standard DS and still have a broken hinge if you use it frequently enough.

I dont have a problem with the 2ds as a whole, but it will have issues with a few games where you have to close the DS in order to move on, like Zelda Spirit Tracks I think it was?

Err, it's putting the DS in stand by that does the trick in those games, not closing it.

2DS is a fantastic name its like they totally saw the joke coming and just named it exactly what it was a 2D 3DS.

Precisely. The 2DS as a product for children is a wise idea!

I'm 31 and I want one. :P It's cheaper then a 3DS and I don't even care about 3D.

My main problem with this is that it's more of Reggie Fils-aime's Blue Ocean strategy. Let's get everyone to like our products and appeal to the public as a whole at ANY cost.

For one the existence of a 2DS damages the 3DS brand because people are already confused enough with all the different versions of the regular DS (I used to sell used versions of them at a local electronics shop here and you'd be surprised how confused people would get about just the different versions of the original DS and what games they played)

Secondly it just seems like another unoriginal nintendo gimmick. Nintendo R & D just seems like its not even really trying these days when it used to do such inventive stuff. A 3DS that looks like a weird Tiger electronics toy. Cool? Yes budget consoles and handhelds are great in this economy but you're not really doing anything to sell yourself to Publishers, developers and gamers this way.

It just speaks volumes about where Nintendo's head is at and it doesn't seem to be in a good place. How about developing some new or interesting peripheral to go along with the wii u or making some 3DS x Wii U interaction possible?

I just don't like what the big wigs at nintendo are doing these days. They're leaving their console out to die until new smash and new zelda are out and if they don't pass up the Sega Dreamcast in console sales by the time smash bros comes out then the Wii U might be going the way of the dreamcast in the not too distant future.

Developing ANOTHER peripheral for WiiU when the gamepad doesn't really resonate with people? Pfffffff. And by the way, WiiU already has 3DS interaction with Monster Hunter. Sorry that you're kinda...uninformed. :bwoop:

I was excited for the vitality sensor for Horror games purposes and developers coding in events according to the fluctuations of your pulse but that has not materialized.

Maybe you're the one that's uniformed if you think controllers are the only thing that counts as peripherals. As both Xbox One and PS4 are doing a second screen expierence via tablets for games on those systems it would not hurt Nintendo to have anything to set them apart from those two systems in terms of experience. Whether that's something that takes in player data in a unique new way or anything else.

You should remember that donkey konga actually sold pretty well for a do nothing peripheral and added something unique to the gamecube.

Go ahead and tell me how 1 game out of around 300 is deep interaction between the two systems? Oh and by the way can I play monster hunter on 3ds with my buddy who's in the same room playing it on his Wii U? I can only port my save and play on the other system if i bought the game twice. Oh wow. That's amazing interaction between handheld and console let me tell you.
