Only way I see Duke coming into the title scene is if Guile and Ganondorf are hot on his heels. Which could make for an interesting dynamic in the Chamber. Haggar's probably tied up with plot, and I'd pick Illidan making it in over Groose. Edited by NuclearPotato, Feb 11 2014, 08:33 PM.

:Micdrop: Scorp is actually a reasonable contender choice though, and basically everyone is calling for it now that they've seen how dominant he can be. My other bets are being placed on.... - Came so close last time, he's gotta get another try. - Now that Guile's thrown the gauntlet down on being a heel, I suspect Duke will want to prove he can do something on his own. - C'mon, the guy said outright he was going for the belt again. :hobo: - On a hot streak like that, I can scarcely think he'd do anything but go for the gold. :Dracula: - This could be his big chance to become the league's first Four-Time VGCW Champion!

My picks for the Chamber: Segata Sanshiro (He's already got like 5 belts, what's one more?) Bowser (Still on a tear, even if he loses multi-man matches) Little Mac (Took out Haggar and Bowser before Nerd took him out, even though he got blasted by Illidan after) Scorpion (Yeah he's fallen off a bit, but... Scorpion!) AVGN (Had to pull double duty at EG6, he deserves another shot) |

In that case, I'd swap AVGN into the match in place of Groose. Maybe have a Groose vs. Scorpion match in the next broadcast to establish their pecking order. Sagat's another possibility, unless he's been relegated to tag-only status (or Shadaloo is getting the boot). Edit: In the meantime, here's my picks for the next Casual Contender's Match: Solid Snake: Snake's actually had a pretty good record in the 2k14 era, he's just been tied up in plot. Aiming for the Casual Title might be a good move for him. ![]() Dracula: Beating Ezio helps to solidify the vampire's position. He'd be another excellent pick for the title match. Protoman: Likewise, Protoman has also proven himself by beating Air Man. He'd also be a good call for a Casual match. Waluigi: You wanted someone else in the match? TOO BAD, WALUIGI TIME. Beating Kefka has got to count for something, here. It could be Waluigi's time to shine once again. Nappa: Another fighter who's had a decent singles record so far, and could be deserving of a match. Captain Falcon: Falcon could also be a powerful contender to challenge Segata. Other possibilities include Red, Zangief, or Arino. What do you think? Edited by Wyvernil, Feb 11 2014, 10:54 PM.

NOPE.

I'm guessing the 5 for the Chamber are going to be Bowser, AVGN, Phoenix, Scorpion and Illidan, due to the momentum each of them have built up lately and not having any obligations elsewhere. Duke is tied up in plot with Guile, Mac just got squashed, Haggar looks to be taken out of commission by the Goldust Trio, Ganon getting a title shot on the heels of quitting doesn't make sense, and I don't think Segata would get the chance to double (triple? quadruple?) up on belts. I do think that Badman(!), Groose and Sonic could all be possibilities as well though. |

The main thing I'm wondering is whether or not Bazza is doing Chamber-qualification matches. If not, then I think Bowser, Phoenix, AVGN and Scorpion will be in the Chamber with Gabe. I don't know who the fifth entrant could be because I'm worried that Duke is trapped in plot with Guile, Haggar probably won't get another shot, Groose seems to be in midcard limbo, and Mac just got destroyed in a true squash match. Maybe Illidan? |

Sonic's Mr. Money in the Bank, so I'd be shocked if he's in this. I think giving Segata a shot at the main belt is a great idea though, on the condition that he has to give up the casual belt if he wins. |

I think Bowser and AVGN are locks, despite AVGN recently losing to Gabe. Kefka has wasted many chances but he's still a big possibility, which also applies to Scorpion. 5th entrant could be anybody... Duke and Ganon are possible. Ganon may have lost in EG6 but he squashed Duke in an earlier match so they are pretty much even. Proto Man and Phoenix also come from big wins so they could earn a spot too. |

Mah predicshuns for the five men we'll see tonight in the Beat the Clock challenges: (#3) Bowser. He'll be a lock until he finally wins the belt. (#4) AVGN. He said he'd go for it. His Co-Op legacy is secure, so gunning for the top spot is what's left for him. (#5) Duke Nukem. Man beat Donkey Kong and made Ganondorf say "I Quit". He's Top 5 in the Power Rankings. He's got all the momentum in the world, how can he not be in this? Some say Guile might be occupying his time, but there's no reason he can't go for the title while being involved in lore. (#8) Ganondorf. Despite being humbled by Duke, Ganon's still the Dark Lord. He's still one of the strongest. Plus he hasn't gone for the title since Season 3, which is a long time for someone of his stature. It's time to bring him back into the title scene.:hobo: (#9) Phoenix Wright. If there's anyone as hot as Duke right now, it's this guy. I had him at the top of my Casual list, but his win over Sonic put him beyond that stage. 7 wins in a row. Time to run that up against the very best. Why not... (#2) Segata Sanshiro? At four defenses, he's still short of Red's record. If six wasn't enough for Red, Segata's probably not going to get the bump up. Though I'd still like to see him in a non-title match against someone else in the Top 10, just to see where he really stands. (#6) Sagat? Is Sagat even in the singles division anymore? I don't think Bazza's said anything one way or the other, but it seems like he's Co-Op exclusive now. Not one singles match in 2K14. (#7) Little Mac? After his burial at the hands of Illidan, Mac jumped ship to SSB. Best of luck! (#10) Mike Haggar? 9 of his last 12 matches have been Contenders or Championship. Could use a break. And who knows what state he's in after being jumped by Edited by SAShieldhill, Feb 18 2014, 08:26 AM.

I feel like Groose, Sagat, and Vegeta all had a shot to be one of the 5 contenders, and all three should be considered for booking in future matches. |

So... Segata. He's been holding pretty tightly onto that Casual Belt. Here's who I think is primed to take a shot at it. Since he's not in the Championship scene right now, maybe Nappa will aim a little lower and try to become Casual Champ? He's been on a pretty hot streak lately, and I wouldn't mind seeing him win a belt for once. Really deserved a spot in the Elimination Chamber, but maybe the reason he didn't get put there is because he's aiming to solidify his Midkard Krown? Always in the mood to see more Barret. Always in the running. Reclaim your honor, Red.

I feel that if Segata ties Red's record for casual defences, then Red should challenge him for the belt back and his final badge. Title vs record. |
