Only wrestlers who picked up more than 4 wins are current and past contenders (Ezio, Cage, Air Man, Snake, Jensen), and Duke and Vegeta, who were in the finals of KOTR. Most of top carders were doing okay or bad this season. |

Topcarders doing well include Dracula, Kanji, Airman, Johnny Cage, Snake and Duke. We've had a load of people start pushing into the topcard though, including Vegeta, Break Man, Groose, Sabin and Knuckles. Other guys like Phoenix, Bowser and Donkey Kong aren't really doing so hot, but it's not like the topcard is falling apart. For everyone who leaves it, we've got two more looking to break into it. What's weird is that Kanji actually has a losing record this season (1-2, with win over DK and losses to Sabin and Snake) but I don't feel like he's lost that much momentum. Honestly he might have the most to gain at End Game, to cement his spot near/at the top. (Also we still need Snake/Kanji III at some point.) |

Both of the matches Kanji lost this season were both very close Matches, and were also voted MotN. It remains to be seen if he can do the same against Ganondorf, but a win over someone like The Dark Lord would still be pretty big, especially at End Game. |

Maybe have a Flint vs. Bison match, since they're kind of sitting on the threshold between midcard and topcard at the moment. The winner of that match would make a good contender for the top title. Right now, the top contenders for a title shot are Snake, Break Man, Vegeta, and whoever wins in the Kanji vs. Ganon match at Endgame. Though if Snake wins the co-op championship, he might get overlooked in favor of another competitor. |

Though would Bison get another shot at the Casual title again after just losing a Casual TItle match? |

The way I interpreted his post was Bison vs Flint as a breakthrough match where the winner gets a contender's match for the main title. |

It's difficult to say Flint or Bison should be going for the main belt anytime soon after very recently failing in Casuals. To skip over it so soon would kind of speak poorly of that division, I feel like. |

Flint's won matches against some topcard talent, but Bison needs more matches up the card before he can aim for the main belt. Win rate isn't an issue here, like it was said in the journalism thread, Bison wins two matches for every one he loses, but he's very sparsely been given any shots at the big leagues and when he has it's come with mixed results. Wins over Travis, Wariobot, Break Man and Phoenix, loses to Duke, Gary, Dan and Groose. Bison is useful in that he can challenge a number of wrestlers from all over the card and put on a great fight. Put him against the lowcard, midcard or topcard and you're probably going to get a close, exciting fight. If you're looking for someone to make the Casual belt seem strong, he's one of the best picks to go for. Unfortunately, he's also the one we had just before Toad. Basically, Bison is probably going to get booked like he is right now, showing up every now and then, putting on a classic, but ultimately letting the wrestlers with more momentum go past him until the day he gets booked against someone ridiculous like Scorpion or Kanji and manages to beat them. |

Sounds like you're making him out to be a new topcard gatekeeper. |

Since what's been recognized as the top-card for so long is currently on a cold streak, this is the perfect opportunity to give Bison and Flint their shots. If Bison goes all the way it'll make the Casual title look like a bigger deal, since it involved a former VGCW Champ defending against a future one. Flint's never actually gotten a singles title shot at all, and considering that Barret got a contenders match almost immediately after a title shot by beating two low-carders while Flint beat Dante and Phoenix (And is on like a 5 singles win streak in general) I'd say that he's the single most deserving person. And then you have Break Man, Vegeta, and possibly Snake/Kanji lined up too. |

Flint's only problem is that he's had that casual contenders so recently. A single fatal fourway only counts for so much, but it was still a title oppertunity. However, There will certainly not be another Main title contention match until after endgame, and by the time that comes around, Flint will be ready for it. Bison's problem right now is not that his Casual shot is too close behind him, it's that since then, he's gotten a win over a Tag only wresteler, and Toad beat Ebisumaru again. Send him up against someone certifiably beast and lets see how it goes. Bison vs Snake. I want to see that. |

Okay, Endgame X1 is done with, and it was a hell of a ride. So who's going to be the first contenders for Season 12? Here's my thoughts on the matter. VGCW Title: Vegeta vs. Knuckles vs. Ganondorf vs. Professor Layton Vegeta earned his crown in the King of the Beach tournament, which might get him the royal access to the contender's spot. Knuckles may have been untested when Sabin recommended him for the last contender's match, but he's just beaten the man himself. That seems to be proof enough that he belongs in the title scene, and is deserving of another chance. After a hard-won fight, Ganondorf proved that he's not just ancient history against Kanji. This could be enough to propel him back into the title scene. Plus, there's the potential of a Dracula vs. Ganondorf rematch for the title. If Ganon takes the vampire's belt and becomes an honest-to-god four time champion... Finally, Layton's been on a rampage up the ranks, his latest victim being former contender Ezio. He at the very least deserves a Casual title shot, though I personally think he's passed that threshold. Layton would be a good choice for the main belt. Honorable mentions: Snake(with his co-op loss, he'd make the best fifth choice in place of Ganon or Layton) Break Man(likely to be involved in plot next season) Nappa(His title run's still a bit fresh, plus Vegeta deserves first dibs) M. Bison(also likely to be involved in plot). So, what are your thoughts? Edited by Wyvernil, Dec 1 2015, 11:55 PM.

I'm not seeing Layton going straight to World, but I definitely think he should be in line for at least a contenders match for Casual. We also still need Kanji/Snake III, and I can see the winner of that getting close to a main title shot. Other than that, Vegeta is the only one I can think of. Maybe Bison due to plot. |
