Ezio and Layton had similar success this season, if he had a shot in that fourway there's no reason Layton shouldn't too, especially after beating him. |

Okay, now for the midcard title: Casual Title: Sonic vs. Goemon vs. Zangief vs. Phoenix Wright With a victory over recent Casual challenger and midcard rival Toad, Sonic seems primed for another shot at the casual belt. Goemon has been bouncing between the midcard and upper midcard for a while, and has scored a recent win in a triple threat with Zubaz and Kefka. I could see him finding a place in Casuals. #PushGief jokes aside, Zangief does have a couple of wins under his belt, and seems to be in the right place to make a Casual run. Besides, Zangief vs. Heavy is one of those matchups I've wanted to see for a long time, and it would make a good Casual Championship match. The fourth slot is a wild card. Though you might think Phoenix Wright would be too good to be slumming it in casuals, he's kind of been in a slump for a while. With his recent victory over his longtime lawyer rival Edgeworth, a casual shot could be a good way of throwing him a bone. Other candidates: Professor Layton: Only if he doesn't get a main title shot. Otherwise, he easily takes the fourth slot. Reyn: Still a bit too green to be in the title hunt. Maybe after a few more matches... Can't really think of anyone else. Maybe give it a couple episodes to see who gains or keeps momentum. Edited by Wyvernil, Dec 2 2015, 12:35 AM.

Wright is waaaaaaaay too strong for Casuals, even at his worst. Replace him with Reyn, I'd say, or just give him a regular match to test him and put those first three in a triple threat (so Goemon can win a thing oh god please win Goemon ;_;) |

I hope Slayton just gets thrown in to an Extreme Rules match with Heavy, it would be the fucking nuttiest deathmatch there's ever been. |

That sounds like an idea that could HORRIBLY backfire when Nick decides to get back into his groove. |

Sonic's one win Goemon's a one win in a triple threat. Zangief had a few singles wins. A good pick to see him in the future Wright feels out of place in that. i'd personally hope that Dr.Eggman/Robutnik 3 long separated singles win could be worth considering to be a contender, it's better , imo, then one win wonders(i wager that since he and wily had tag groove during season 11 it went unnoticed) |

I don't know who is gonna be in the Casual Scene But I know one guy who should be aiming for the main belt. It's time for the Drac Pack Explosion. Can the Count hope to stand up....to a King? |

Gief's definitely earned a contendership shot by now probably casual but he's got a decent streak going so if he can keep it up I wouldn't be against him going for the main belt. Though for other contenders for the casual belt i'd honestly be looking at Sonic and Octodad, I know it's just one win but victories at endgame and winning a feud feels like it gives a bit more momentum y'know. Maybe put them against each other then have the winner in a match with Layton for contendership. By a similar metric I wouldn't mind seeing Knuckles or Haggar being considered for the main belt. Though out of everyone King Vegeta probably has the best reasoning to get into a contendership match. I think he can just go straight for contendership, he doesn't need another win to prove himself. |

i haven't been tracking stats or anything but Layton has seemingly been on such a roll lately that I don't think he should have to challenge more than one or two guys for a shot at casuals. Wily and Eggman would be fun contenders, too, especially if they're in the same match against each other. Zangief, meanwhile, is ready for the big gold. That Nosferatu can Nosferatoff, brother. Zangief going for the main belt is an issue, because it's confirmed he'll lose as there's no way the title belt would be booked as the curtain jerk, therefore making a main belt push for Zangief completely pointless. |

NOPE.
|
Where is this Gief momentum coming from? In his most recent singles matches he beat complete unknown Sho, beat now-fired Wario, lost to Red, lost to ZUBAZ and lost to Toad. In no way, shape or form is that deserving of a title shot of any kind, unless you really want to drive the #PushGief meme into the ground. Layton absolutely deserves a casual contender's match though, and Vegeta is a good candidate for the main belt. |

BUT MUH GIEFS. Nah, get him in the casual if he can get another good win or two, but there is no way this guy is going near the main belt, don't be ridiculous. |
