If Bowser bodying the fuck out of Duke in Episode 2 last season didn't give him consideration for a title shot (though if he beat Red he surely would have gotten it) then he's not gonna get it by beating Toad. He's gotta crush a couple top carders. Put him against Knuckles or Sabin IMO. |

I like Goemon but I can't say he really deserves a shot until he wins a match this season. |

Gonna agree with Wynervil except I'd sub out Goemon for Layton. |

So are we not gonna shove Vegeta in the conversation for main title? He was ruining Scorpion's day pretty well. |

When it's time for the next VGCW contender's bout, I think Vegeta will definitely be on the short list(unless he gets sucked into plot). If Bison hadn't interfered, it did look possible that he could have taken Scorpion down. Other potentials include Snake, Knuckles, Ganon, and possibly Duke and Layton. If Layton doesn't make it into the VGCW title match, he's definitely a lock for Casuals. Edited by Wyvernil, Jan 27 2016, 09:24 PM.

I think at this point Vegeta is the clearest contender alongside I guess Snake. People like Knuckles, Ganon and Flint had #1 Contender's Matches still fairly recently. Duke also has a claim for a match. Maybe due to plot we'll see Bison manage to insert himself into the title picture. I have no idea! It's all very exciting. |

Bowser was on an awful streak last season though. Beating Toad isn't worthy of a contendership. Put him against a top carder and let's see if the dreaded King of Awesome is back. Btw, Rainbow Rhodes is out of his moveset? I loved that move. |

I'm pretty sure Rainbow Rhodes is still in, he just uses the side smash more often. It happens with this game sometimes. |

He wasn't awful last season. He crushed Duke (top carder), lost to Red (upper mid carder and fairly recent top carder), lost to Adam Jensen (too early to tell where he stands in singles after his revamp), beat Kefka (jobber/lower midcarder) and lost to Vegeta (clearly a top carder now) So...not really seeing where "awful streak" comes from. He went 2-3 and the three people he lost to seem formidable as fuck. He's had worse seasons, like when he lost to Ebisumaru or even the season before last season when he lost to Edgeworth. But I agree, beating Toad is basically nothing. I want Bowser vs Knuckles or Sabin. Edited by Soundwave, Jan 28 2016, 12:53 AM.

Vegeta also got a lucky reversal to the Thwomp Bottom at the end that seemed like it would have done him in, so it was about a close a match as you can get.

Bowser can use beating Toad as a stepping stone, he has a bit of momentum, so put him up against a bigger threat next time, and if he wins keep it going. |

If all the belts are going to be up for grabs at Blood Money, then we've got two more episodes left until the main event! Who's going to be challenging for the belts? It'd be funny to see a Vegeta vs. Nappa match to see who gets to challenge Drac on his home turf. Nappa's victory over Snake seems to be a sign that he's ready to take another shot at the championship. Other possibilities include Knuckles, Duke Nukem, and Layton. We might even see Bison pull some strings to get himself in the title picture, though he seems to be aiming higher. As for casuals? I'm thinking Sonic vs. Goemon vs. Dr. Wily vs. Red, with Layton subbing in for Goemon if he's not getting a main title push. Red's got some momentum going with his win over Jensen, so he might be primed to make another claim on the casual title. Or he might be looking to go further than that... |

Any thoughts on who will be first for the Dragons Gauntlet next week? At the moment only teams I can think of based on present momentum are Flint & Barret and Shadowball Valley |

Lets get something straight, Flint and Barret are only doing good because of Flint, if anything I would say Flint should be a solid shot for Casual, he had a huge run last season and did just as good in the tables match. Besides they had their chance to be number one contenders and lost (If I am remembering matches right...) |

Barret and Flint as a team haven't been near a title since they fought PK Chu Mind you they beat the dragons to get that title shot. Make claims of whoever carrying who, the middle age outlaws are the best team for it at the moment. |
