Remember last year when we were excited for this?
But guys... what if the Little Cup rumble... is the curtain jerk? Could anyone stop Zangief from becoming casual contender?

Also I tend to agree that Dan would make more sense in the Prime Cup rumble.

With Mega Evolution coming tomorrow, I'm going to make a list of my top 5 favorites to win the Prime Cup rumble. This isn't based on ability, placement, or likelihood to win, but purely on who would make an interesting Rumble winner.

And, naturally, it is entirely arbitrary.

5. Airman

With Wily holding the casual belt, Air Man finally getting a solid Championship push would create an interesting casual v champion dynamic, and we'd get a rematch event from his BeChfront run against Drac to boot.

4. Nappa

Nappa or Arino would fit here as members of King Vegeta's court. Whether or not Vegeta wins, it would lead to an interesting belt run, either with a new VGCW King backing them, of a VGCW GM working against it. But Nappa has a slightly more interesting history here. He's held the briefcase and the belt, and he's just the right amount of excitable but cocky to be thrilled at the prospect of wrestling the belt from Drac/Barret and defending it from Ganondorf in the same night. Plus, who doesn't love go see mastadon v mastadon fights?

3. Armstrong

Armstrong has been looking to make a pretty big move for awhile now. He has the right ingredients for generating Championship Run heat, and has deep connections, both in the GM office, and potentially outside it as well. Making a statement against any of the three who might hold the belt, whether it's Drac, Barret or Ganondorf, is exactly what he's all about.

2. Miles Edgeworth

Did you SEE his victory over Ganondorf last episode? Did you see how many points he got from it? Can you imagine him and Ganondorf, who knows he has been defeated once before by the prosecutor, wanting to prove that his victory was a fluke? I can, and I love it!

1. Bowser

Bowser is the big pick of this rumble, and it's no small wonder that he is - even if Drac doesn't defend, Ganondorf and Bowser's rivalry is legendary, the sort of thing you only hope and pray will make it to a main event. And really, it's been a long, long time since the King of Awesome had a belt run - it's about time for him to go for it.

Since the VGCW and Casual contenders are set, might we see a tournament of some sort for the Co-Op contendership, current field of contenders is rather muddled at the moment.

I'd be down for it.

Also, did NOT think about Phoenix/Drac when writing that thing up there.

Dang, such a great rematch coming but...at what cost. ;_;7

The title. For both of them. To the mothafuckin' dark lord.

I realize this topic was sorta brought up during both Red and Air Man's reigns as casual champ.

But is there a set limit to how long somebody can defend the Casual Belt before they are determined to be "Not Mid-card" Like I realize its not the most likely situation, but what if somebody has a Scorpion level reign with the Casual Belt?

I like what they did with Air Man, giving him a fair stipulation, but he didn't even hold it THAT long really. Let them make an attempt at beating Red's record for title defences and Segata's longest reign record before stripping them of the title. And besides, if they are so far above the division then if somebody takes the title off them (I mean Edgeworth just beat Ganondorf after all) that will put them over HUGE.

I think the only ones who are really making a solid case for the VGCW Championship right now are Air Man and King Vegeta. Layton could bounce back into casuals, maybe up to the big belt if he can get another good streak going. But the lead-up to Endgame is going to be crucial to see who can get some momentum going into season 13 to take on either the monster that is Lord Dracula or a miracle turnabout from Phoenix.

...Holy hell, Drac's on an 8 win streak. Wasn't Phoenix's at 9 when it got broken?

I smell a non-title match to build some pop coming.

...or maybe just Phoenix saying he'll defend the streak and not let Dracula match it.

I'm preeeeeetty sure (not 100%) that the 8 win streak in OP of Momentum Rankings includes his Royal Rumble win whereas all of Phoenix's 9 wins in the streak were 1 on 1.

Correct! Dracula's winning streak started with a 6 man as well so if you're going by singles then Dracula has 6 in a row. Here's how the two match up!

Dracula - Dr. Wily, Armstrong, Duke Nukem, Sabin, Air Man, Barret

Phoenix - Pyro, Flint, Gray Fox, Adam Jensen, Phoenix Wrong, Sonic, Bowser, Kefka, Brock Lesnar

Phoenix has the sheer numbers but Dracula's opponents have had more quality imo.

There's literally no better #1 Contenders match than a friendly PRATS triple threat at End Game

Let's let a couple more singles matches for The Dragons before having them go for the main title.

Outside of Dan the Dragon's just have a single win a pieace. One in a tables match and the other in the always a little screwy manager match.

For #1 contendership 4 guys that stand out to me are Seifer, Dan, Vegeta, and Cage. Vegeta and Cage will probably have a match soon to determine who is the best king, and then the winner can compete with the other two for it. Maybe just Dan if it's decided Seifer's a bit too new for it, or if his loss to Cage dropped him out of the running.

For casuals, Octodad, Robotnik and Vyse seem good from the top of my head. Maybe drop Octodad out because of his recent tag shot.
