Well, Mac was a definite contender for the title until that happened. Phoenix, AVGN, Guile and Drac should each be given a match against a credible opponent next week, and then put in a contenders match if they win. As for the tag division, I think DK Crew vs. Mystical Ninjas is probably the best bet. |

I agree with most people that Drac is looking strong at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see him try to become the first 4-time VGCW Champion. Phoenix hasn't fought in a while, but since he's got that ungodly streak behind him, it doesn't really matter. He can always be chucked in a contenders match and people will understand why. I'd like to see Duke, Ganon or Guile fight someone else before getting a shot. Throw them at another potential hopeful like Haggar or Airman and see if they look strong. |

I pretty much agree with Desu, Phoenix is the only person I can think of who could get a shot right now. I would've said Mac, but not winning the Triple Threat sets him back a little bit. AVGN does NOT need another shot so soon, beating Ezio twice doesn't mean much. Dracula needs to actually fight someone who's really good. |

Kefka's been doing quite good recently, though he lost against the king of Salt, who doesn't? Oh yeah...Yeah you don't need to pay attention to that. SPEAKING OF THE KING OF SALT, I'm surprised he hasn't went into the titles. He hasn't even been in a multi-man brawl. Wait that sounds familiarJensen : He doesn't get credit for what he does, and his matches recently, though little wins, have been powerful. Tiny baby men cannot handle real Mannliness. We need to put Hoovy in title match so he can defeat yellow skull man and take victory! Heavy beats everybody except cheating monkey. Speaking of cheating monkeys, DK is doing well. We all know he didn't really cheat, it's just . He should get in a contenders match soon.

Kefka is like 4-13 right now and lost his most recent matches. He's definitely not ready to be a contender yet, especially not for the main belt. Illidan has potential, but he still needs to climb the ladder. Also, Bazza might be waiting until Illidan decisively wins a few matches without Gary to see if he's able to really do a belt justice. Jensen hasn't won in a while, and I don't think beating Arino really warrants a contenders shot for him. Heavy might have a chance, but it's kind of slim at the moment. DK has the rank and the hype, so he might get in a contenders match. He might need one more good win though since he's had a few losses build up on his record lately though. After last night's episode, I think Goemon might be a good wildcard pick for a main title contenders match. He's on the fringe of the Top 10 and pinned Little Mac. |

When it comes to Illidian, he seems to have a large enough presence to be above the Casual Title (not that Gary would accept it over going for the VGCW Title itself) but he lost his first match of Season 8. Yes, he's still very powerful and would've won if not for Flint, and also practically squashed Kefka at End Game 7, but a loss is a loss, especially when it's a taste of one's own medicine. That said, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that we're going to see Barrett/Flint vs Illidian/Gary in the future with the latter going over, and perhaps from there we could see the two of them go after the tag titles. The ultimate lopsided tag team of the monster Illidian and his jobber manager. I can only imagine the heat, as well as the insanity of the chat during every nearfall of the title match (given that The Saiyans or another beloved face team holds the belts). Of course, this could be 100% speculation and Illidian's just going to pick up some momentum again and go after the VGCW title. |

Jensen and Heavy might be good picks for the next Casual Contender's match, though Heavy might still be a bit too new to singles competition at the moment. Maybe give him another match or two and see how he does. |

I don't like seeing former VGCW champs in Casual Contenders... Jensen could have potential for the main title, we need to see him fight a bit more. |

I'd like to see Jensen go for casuals, simply because he's in a good tag team as well. I'd love it if Jensen was the first triple crown champ. |

We've seen Donkey Kong go into a casual contenders match back in 2K13, when he was terrifying in many different ways. Frankly, that made sure I wouldn't be surprised at anyone who ends up in a casual's match. Illidan WILL get a championship contenders match one day. I would say it's pretty much inevitable. But I think that will have some plot around it, because that will be an important time for Illidan. He's managed to stem the MAJORITY of complaints against him being boring, so him going for the title would have to be done very carefully or risk the cries of "NEVER WATCHING AGAIN" and "I WILL NEVER WATCH AN ILLIDAN MATCH" like when he won Star Road. |

Alright, we know now the next contender's match tomorrow is a one on one fight. So. The simple question is: Who is Phoenix Wright facing off against? |

One-on-one contenders match? It truly is a new era... So, uh, yeah, Phoenix vs. Dracula is my pick. Drac has looked fairly strong recently and Phoenix still has his streak there as a reason to get into the match. Depending on how much he'll be involved in the plot, Guile could also be an option instead of Drac, since I think beating Duke and Ganon at End Game should warrant a place in a contenders match, regardless of rankings. Either match sounds good, since it's putting Phoenix's streak on the line against a threatening heel, which is how things should be done.
