This should be an awesome match. If Nick wins we get Nick vs. Scorpion, if Drac wins he becomes the main event heel he was born to be and gets to take on the most over man in the company. This should be fantastic... please don't fuck it up, #2Kuality#

I feel sorry for Feanon though. I guess he'll have to sacrifice a few more goats and hope Nappa is curtain jerking against Bowser or something.

Nice, Drac's only recent loss was a ladder match so I think he can be a good challenger for Phoenix. If Phoenix wins I think we'll get the title match in the Rumble Event, it'd be super hype.

Guile is most likely involved in story shenanigans but he deserves it more than Dracula.

So now we're getting Scorpion vs. Dracula for the main event, with a possible side of Sonic. Time to move on to the casual scene. Who do you expect to see as Captain Falcon's first foe as champ?

My picks for the moment:

Octodad vs. Adam Jensen vs. Heavy vs. Ness

It's a bit tricky to figure out the casual scene right now, since the traditional sweet spot in the rankings is pretty barren at the moment. If Octodad manages to wrap up Gief for a second time, then chances are we'll be seeing him make another run for the title. Likewise, with his recent victory over Arino, Jensen looks like he's starting to pull out of his recent slump. A casual title shot could be just the thing he needs.

Those are the two standouts at the moment. The other two slots are up in the air right now. Heavy and Ness are both relative newcomers to the scene, who have beaten up midcard talent while not quite breaking into the main scene just yet. It could be risky to put them into Casual contendership when they're still relatively untested.

Barret's always a possible contender, but after beating Illidan he should be given a chance to aim for greater things first. Segata's at about the right place in the power rankings, but in my opinion it's still too soon for him to get another chance after his long streak of Casual dominance. If Ezio is given a good match with a solid upper-midcarder next week, and his luck changes for the better, he'll always be welcome in casuals.

Maybe wait a week and see how the cards fall.

Those are good picks, although I am doubtful about Ness considering he just came off a loss.

Also, if the tag contenders match isn't DK Crew (The ACTUAL DK crew) vs. Mystical Ninjas (The DK Posers), I will be surprised.

I think Bowser deserves to be in the title hunt for the Casual Championship. He needs a few high profile wins to prove himself worthy to challenge for the top belt.

He should chase after the tag championships first. After that, he should find Kanji backstage and beat him up.

e: Also, I mean he should pursue the tag championship by himself. Tag partner are overrated.

It would be ridiculously appropriate, since the real DK Crew just beat up the Real Dragons.

That'd leave out The Practice, Safety Valve, Wario Ware Inc., and GameCenter FU, but they could either have a set of semi-finals/finals of their own to see who goes up against the winner of DK Crew Vs Dragons, or they could just duke it out next round of tag matches to see who gets a shot.

He is a great singles competitor but put him in a multi-man match and he turns into Gary Oak. Plus he shows up so infrequently that he can't build up momentum in peoples eyes like a Phoenix or Scorpion. If he wrestled single matches every other week against high quality opponents than I would say he deserves a shot but as is he is a novelty character that shows up every other month to squash lower card guys.

Only problem I see with these picks is that Octodad may be tied up in plot soon, unless it's Gief who gets Roboticized. But that may still net him a shot at the casual scene.

14-3-0

That's Bowser's win record in Singles. And that is not to be underestimated1.

...That being said, you have a point about his full record.

14-10-0.

Yes, he's been in 7 Multi-man matches, and lost every, single, one.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Bowser is in a class of wrestler specifically designed to...not perform very well in large groups.

Most of his multi-man matches were against other big-timers sure, but even with that considered, he's had absolutely no luck in multi throughout his career. It's his Achilles Heel that keeps him from looking like an absolute monster in the ring.

And it's a testament to how much of a beast he is in singles that he still has a net positive win record, despite his multi-man record being as bad as it is.

Bowser going for Casuals would be hilarious, so I'm all for it. :gwar:

I think if Jensen, Octodad and Heavy all pick up wins this week they'll be perfect contenders for next weeks show. Maybe Ezio if he wins in his next match (although it sounds likes he's challenging yet another main eventer so I guess we can kind of assume he's going to lose.) :airman: is another dark horse, he beat Segata last season so if he picks up another win he could be a valid contender (he will then choke, but whatever.)

Octodad vs. Adam Jensen vs. The Heavy vs. Ezio/Air Man/Ness/Bowser/whoever.

Order! Order in the court!
Personally don't think Bowser should be gunning for the Casual Championship. Multiman losing record be damned, if he wins the match against midcarders, he could hold on to the Casual Championship for a REALLY long time, considering how much of a beast he is in Singles. Would you really want a monster like him that was supposed to have a Legends contract be holed up as a Casual Champion? I don't, personally, as it's something meant for midcarders to shine in and have their limelight, not top card beasts.

Rant aside.
Octodad is alright, Heavy deserves a shot, and Adam sure why not?
People on the fringe of contendership include Dan (who was impressive vs the Practice), Kefka (who used to participate in Casuals, if he faces midcarders instead maybe he could be considered with some wins), and Ness who imo seems a bit too strong for Casuals, then again there needs to be more matches I guess

I think that one or two weeks give or take should be enough to decide the Casual Contenders for sure, but hey.

NOPE.
Did people really suggest Bowser go for Casual?

If he won the belt, he would never lose it until it was forcibly taken from him, or if he was put in a multiman match.
