Personally, I'm hoping to see Ezio vs. Groose next week. Groose seems like he'd be the perfect opponent for Ezio. He was the champ once, after all(which gives him some credibility as a upper-midcarder), and he hasn't had a match since being exposed as a Ring Ranger. As for casual match-ups, I think it's time for a Dan vs. Kefka match. If Kefka can break the downward spiral he's been in lately, he'd make a good opponent for the casual title. Plus, if Dan wins(which is possible since he's got a new finisher which boosts his fighting power), it'll help him climb out of the basement and into actual contention. As for Bowser, he's currently ranked 11th on the power rankings. Another solid win would put him in contention for the main title. Putting him in casuals would be like putting Ganondorf in casuals. |

Are you guys forgetting that Bowser lost clean to Chief Arino? Anything can happen in VGCW. Would anyone predict Octodad beating Ganon or Waluigi beating Dracula? Until Bowser is consistently beating tough top card and upper middle card guys then he deserves his shot at the VGCW championship. Also how many of Bowser's wins are because of the glitch bomb finisher? As it stands Bowser is a novelty act that shows up with his silly entrance to squash jobbers every other month. 1. "Anything can happen in VGCW" does not mean "Put anyone anywhere, because the whole thing is a random draw". Due to scarcity of championship matches and relative quality of opponent that he'd be facing, the odds are much much much much MUCH higher that Bowser would have an annoyingly long reign than a one-and-done performance. 2. Once again, those upsets don't mean slot any wrestler willy-nilly into any place on the card. Ganon and Drac are still main eventers, and Octodad and Waluigi are still midcarders, and no sane people are questioning otherwise (also, Waluigi beat Drac in a gimmick match anyway) 3. He HAS been beating top card and upper middle card guys consistently. We even have a thread to prove this. I mean, look at his record and who he's beaten in singles. Two Casual Champs, a VGCW champ, a #1 Contender, and two upper midcarders (maybe midcard for Barret). If that isn't beating up on some strong competition, I don't know what is. 4. Oh come on. Bowser hasn't had the Glitch Bomb in forever, and he's still dominant. Didn't 8-7 prove as much? 5. Nope, this is just dumb. As is the notion that he should be demoted to the midcard. I can't believe I actually had this argument. Bowser for the Casual Title is a horrendous idea. |

Bowser lost his Glitch Bomb literally over a year ago. He's had a ton of clean victories since then. In fact, his only singles loss since 2K14 (which is the only thing that matters at this point, since '13 is an entirely different beast) is to Phoenix Wright, who we know is also insanely good. In fact, Bowser beat the guy that ended Phoenix's streak clean. So, yeah, I think Bowser is strong enough for the main belt. |

well On a separate note I don't think Sonic will pull a Drac and request for a title match now that he beat Cap, due to plot and such. There aren't many contenders coming off wins as there is anyway. Personally I think a match between Segata and Red would be interesting, or at least having them in a multiman, and possibly Arino as well |

Octodad lost a plot match. I don't think it will affect his chances too much unless he gets roboticised after this loss. Also, Badman and Baldman are kind of kicking ass lately. Badman's loss to Sonic doesn't seem so bad now that Sonic has beaten the Casual Champ. Maybe we can give The Saiyans a chance to become the most successful team ever! The tag team champs made up of the casual champ and the VGCW champ! I can dream. |

I'm going to say Arino, Ness, maybe Heavy and hell, even Segata have good shot at the casual title. We don't know the format yet, but it's probably multi-man of some variety. |

Well, if anyone thought Scorps wasn't legit before, they've certainly got egg on their face now. Since the next contender's match will probably be a Rumble (whether or not the English actually win a soccer game in the near future), I'll move on to another item of interest: the next Money in the Bank. Now that it's once again vacant, who do you want to see in the next scramble for the briefcase? Here's my picks, assuming the next MitB match is set for Endgame 8, and selecting people who aren't likely to be embroiled in plot at that time: Duke Nukem vs. Phoenix Wright vs. Goemon vs. Waluigi vs. Segata vs. Illidan. All six of these have not yet won the main belt, and have been selected from across the card, from high-tier to midcard status. I could possibly substitute someone else for Dook, in the likely event that he ends up going for the belt at Endgame. Maybe give Nappa another shot, though he's won the MitB before. Still, I think Illidan would be a good choice for the MitB, in order to get the salt flowing again. Scorps and Barret proved that he was mortal, so the possibility of him actually winning the title would help to bring the heat back. |

Wyvernil's post really makes me want to see Illidan climb a ladder. It's hilarious in my head. |

Although the rumble will probably be the next contenders match (and not a world cup rumble since I'm pretty sure Bazza implied that those would just be for fun) my picks for number 1 contender would be Duke, Pheonix, Drac or Illidan. Maybe even Bowser if he gets booked more A multi-man match with those guys doesn't sound amazing, I was just thinking who would be a good competitor for Scorpion, and everyone but Duke has an existing story behind a match that would make it even more interesting.
Nice picks, but I'd go against Duke, Pheonix or Illidan for the match. Personally I dont think the MitB match should include wrestlers who are eligible for a regular contenders match, I'd rather people in the upper-middle card, or upper-card wrestlers who haven't been in the title scene as of late, as the MitB match (at least how I always understood it) was a match for those who don't usually get a shot to have a shot My picks would probably be Angry Video Game Nerd vs. Little Mac vs. Donkey Kong vs. Goemon vs. Mike Haggar vs. Waluigi AVGN was often considered for title matches for a while before people said it was time for others to have their chance. His record hasn't been amazing for his last few matches, and a MitB shot would be good to put him back in the title scene Little Mac is similar, once he was always in contender matches, recently he hasn't been the biggest presence. Along with fellow Ezio-killer AVGN, both these guys have reputations as great wrestlers on the card, but haven't had much of a presence lately. Donkey Kong has always been seen as a beast, and the Co-op title match showed he truly is dangerous. He's been more focussed on tag team matches recently, and probably wont get booked for too many singles matches to prove his worth for a title match, so MitB is a good chance Goemon is Goemon. Haggar is also an ex-champion with a reputation, but his standing is pretty murky as it is. A lot of people dont know where he stands but he's pretty much upper-middle card. A MitB match would be good for him to prove that he's relevant again. The last spot was hard for me to decide, I had Vegeta, Arino, Snake, Groose, Segata, Grey Fox or maybe Ganon (and then there were people I excluded because of plot, like Air Man, Cage and Proto) but I think Waluigi is a good pick. Ex-casual champion, fan favourite, good with ladders, and him holding the MitB case and having more plot time would be great. Edited by goon, Jun 18 2014, 12:40 AM.

The next VGCW Champion contender should be Dracula. He never lost, so he's entitled to a second shot. Putting him in along with whoever wins the next "non-World Cup Friendly" Royal Rumble would make for a great End Game 8 triple threat main event. |

Drac may have held the lead a couple times, but Scorps still retained clean. Not to mention the first 4 falls and the last two were Scorpion's. Also, had The Saiyans not had a defense last night, I'd have pegged one or both for the Casual Contender's match. |

My picks for the next Money in the Bank: Goemon, Heavy, Tingle, Badman, Red, and Illidan. Goemon is pretty strong in the ring and doesn't get credit for it. This is what he needs. Heavy is a solid wrestler and it would be nice to see him as Champ. Tingle's career was just saved by the Mayor of Earth, and he needs just this to make him stronger than ever. Badman neeeeeeeds a title shot or something. He was buffed up and he and Nappa are absolute BEASTS in the ring. On the switch to 2k14, Red has become nothing more than a mere Midcarder. This can make it all change. Illidan because, IMAGINE THE SALT. |

I know Guile is still wrapped up with Johnny Cage but he should be considered in any #1 Contender or MITB talk. |
