Yeaaaaaah....fuck that.

So here's a question...do you think Ganon has had enough of a cooloff to reenter the title picture? IIRC his last involvement with the belt was the fatal-fourway over that Glitch-bomb nonsense, and that was well over a year ago.

Short answer? YES.

The RETURN OF GANON has been long overdue, in fact. I think it's time for the Dark Lord to go for his fourth title.

I'd definitely be down for a Fatal Four-Way at the next Endgame: Scorpion vs. Ganondorf vs. Bowser vs. Dracula. That would be hype as hell.

If we're having a regular contender's match though, I'd say Ganon and Bowser are locks at the moment. Bringing down top-tier talent like Gabe and DK is all the accomplishment they need to go for the title shot.

As for other possibilities? We can always bet on Duke, and he feels like he's ready for another shot. I'd say Mac has had enough time to cool off, as well. If Scorpion manages to fend off Ness(we haven't really seen how Ness does against top-tier talent, so it'll be interesting to see if he can hang in there), then Dracula will definitely be looking for another shot. Phoenix Wright, as well, though he probably needs one more win to get back in the title scene (Nappa or Vegeta would be good choices here). AVGN is another possibility, but he needs to beat someone of higher caliber than Ezio.

Guile will probably be fighting Johnny Cage at Endgame, so I don't expect to see them at the next contender's match. Maybe the winner will get a shot during Season 9. Illidan still needs to get his momentum back after losing to Barret.

Fatal Four Way with three biggest villains would be great. Since Battleground PPV also has a fatal-four way title match, I'm totally down with this.

Tingle, Kefka, Octodad. They could work for casual, but I think they'll probably get destroyed by Air Man.

I'd love a Ganon return to the title scene if it was paired with the Bikerdorf intro. Have it be spurred by one of the heavyweight contenders messin' in the big dog's yard. Literally, somebody just comes around and fucks up poor Ganondorf's yard, pulling a bunch of figure-eights in the lawn and salting his garden.

NOPE.
Ganon and Bowser should never be in a regular match together ever again. It would ruin the mystique of 8-7.

If either should be in a contender's match, it's Ganon, since he's gone longer without contending for a title.

But all this is moot for now, since we have Ness as the contender at this point.

I feel differently. You could even turn the whole thing into a sequel to the two classic Bowser/Ganon rivalries. They face each other at Endgame, and the winner gets a shot at Scorpion/Ness/Dracula/whoever's at top at the time at the end of the broadcast.

I'd tune in just for the potential Kefka's Korner. I can imagine Kefka ripping into Ganon and calling him an overrated wrestler who's been riding on the thousand years of darkness his whole career.

:bwoop: : "You couldn't beat Bowser the last two times, what makes you think THIS time will be any different?"
:darklord: : "I'm a three-time VGCW champion. How many belts have YOU won, clown?"

Casual Championship:

I'd say a 6 man between :red: , :goemon: , :hey: , :loose: , :badman: and :dk: .

But that's just me. Let me know if my predictions are horribly off.

Oh yeah, I haven't done Casual Contender predictions yet. It's a bit hard to make picks at the moment, however. The upper-midcard range on the power rankings is a bit bloated at the moment, and there aren't many people in the lower midcard who are on the upswing.

My tentative picks right now would be:

Kefka vs. Octodad vs. Barret vs. Groose

Of these, Kefka seems to be the most "on the rise", his last match being a win against Segata. Octodad couldn't stand up against Johnny Cage, but did manage to last up until the end. Barret seems to have lost any momentum he gained from beating Illidan, so he may settle for another Casual shot. Finally, Groose may come in as a surprise contender. Bazza has booked top-carders on the downturn for casuals before(Donkey Kong is one example), and a run at casuals may be what Groose needs to get back in the hunt. After all, soon after appearing in the casual contender's match, DK's fortunes improved for a while, and he even managed to climb back to the top ten.

However, what we might need for next episode is to run a few matches in the lower card. Dan will probably end up fighting Eggman, Wily, or one of their clonebots next week, so if he doesn't get entangled in plot he could be on track for a resurgence if he does well (his new finisher may help his chances a bit). If Ezio stops jobbing to the stars and sets a more realistic goal for himself, we could see him come back to face Air Man in the future. Or we could see Tingle or Wario make a comeback in singles. Jensen could be another possibility, if he manages to pick up another win.

Probably not good at this
I agree with the sentiments of Ganon being out of the title scene for long enough. I think it's time he comes back to reclaim the Gerudo Gold that he can rightfully take. Plus Ganon vs. Scorpion would probably be amazing if the Drac match was any indication.

Ganon or Bowser vs. Scorps would be HYPE as hell right now. Of course, this is all assuming that Scorps defends against Nice.

In case you missed the huge sticky post at the top of the forum, we're determining the #1 Contenders RIGHT NOW.

Elimination Chamber Poll

So we might end up seeing people who'd normally never get a sniff at the main title outside of Rumbles, like Ezio or Octodad!

I hope Hagger and Heavy are now an official tag team because they seemed like one hell of a combination. I'd say fast track them as #1 contenders for the tag titles if only because I think it would be a fun match against the Saiyans.

I am a huge Scorpion fan but I would not begrudge Ness for winning because he is the underdog of all underdogs.

Well, we've got the Chamber of Elimination set. What's left is the Casual Contender's match. Who will be the first to challenge Air Man?

My current thoughts:

Red vs. Groose vs. Barret vs. Waluigi

Personally, we could just call the Red vs. Groose match at Elimination Chamber the Casual Contender match and call it a day. There aren't really a lot of red-hot midcarders right now, since we've had several Casual Champs rise up and drop the belt in rapid succession (That, and the mad doctors borging people). Kefka might be a good fit for Casual, but he's pulling Elimination Chamber duty.

If the Casual Contender match is being saved for post-Chamber, then the winner of Bison vs. Sagat could be tossed in as well. It could be the kind of push the survivor would need to avoid being future endeavored themselves. In this case, the winner of Red/Groose will likely be a lock for Casual contention, unless their feud continues to Endgame.

I don't see Red AND Groose both making it to contenders, Red needs another win to prove that his win wasn't a one off, and Groose hasn't really done much in the ring recently. I think the winner of that match is good for the contender's match. I also agree on the winner of Sagat v. Bison.

As for the potential other two, I would have said Heavy, but his recent win puts probably puts him closer to the VGCW champ than casual at this point.

Barret is a safe bet, he's always hovered around Casual contender territory, and for the lulz I'll say Haggar. He might be strong, but recent results haven't really reflected that.
