Am I the only one who doesn't think Octodad has earned himself a shot yet? Sure, a win over AVGN (and Tingle too I guess) is very impressive, I just think he needs a 1v1 to solidify a place.

Red is a cert, Bison should get a chance, don't know about Arino just yet, and Fox is tangled up in Plot (plus I think he's proven he is way too strong for Casual).
If Red can be a sure thing after victory over Groose, I think it's fair enough to give Octodad a shot after stomping AVGN.

Normally I'd agree, but it WAS in a multiman where things can get a little screwy. So I'd say Octodad is a high priority but not quite there just yet, one singles win would change my mind.

He did get a singles win against Zangief, but I can understand that isn't much to go by. I'd love to see him and Arino fight. The Bowser slayer vs The Ganon slayer.

Octodad just needs one more win to really sell a Casual contendership slot pitch. He's only won two matches since his rather recent last shot, as opposed to losing three. Yes, two were multi-man, and one of those was a fan-picked matchup to boot, but the time isn't quiiite right yet. That said, I never say no to more Octodad, in any context, so if he makes it in I will be the last person to complain.

How is Red fine but Grey Fox too powerful? I'm not saying he should be in the running because yeah he's in plot but it's still a weird thing to disqualify him for.

I really, really, don't want Arino or AVGN champions. The real people are so damn boring.

Bison should get a shot, but not immediately, especially considering a heel is the champion right now and he's had tons of plot and held a title recently.

I was going to say Red, but with Ness' loss PK Chu can get back to doing their thing without missing a beat. Count in we just added another new awesome tag team, the tag roster right now is remarkably good and I hope a lot more is done with it.

Sooooo. Octodad vs. Barret in a cage match for a contender's shot gets my vote, I guess.

edit: Actually Barrett already has a plot related robo-beef with Flint so.... Fuck it, throw Dan in there. Whoever! Just make sure Octodad's in it!

I feel like Red, Bison, and Octodad have earned a contender-ship match. Not sure who else you could put in the match, and three way fights always end kinda wonky, so I dunno!

Guile has earned his contendership too, he's won basically two major feuds now and has been better than he has been in ages.

I agree, Guile has earned himself a fair contender's match.

With Bowser.

I wanna believe if Airman makes a few defences, (and hell gets two more wins and breaks the VGCW winning streak of 8 *that includes Multiman and Singles, etc*) that dropping the casual title allows him to immediately go for the VGCW title
Scorpion/Airman sounds amazing and I could REALLY Ham things up Heyman style :)

Guile would rise to the greatest heel in the history of VGCW if he's the one who stops Scorps. Or maybe even if he stomps Kefka in his first defence

Well, Air Man has quite the test for his first defense, being against Red who has on fire with his new moveset

Well, we've got the Casual contender decided for the moment.

If the robot master match this episode was any indication, I'm guessing we're going to be in for an extended season. Perhaps the post-Elimination Chamber episodes will be Season 8.5? In case Kefka vs. Scorpion is not going to be at Endgame, here's a new batch of Main Title predictions.

Bowser vs. Guile vs. Heavy vs. Goemon

The Heavy Weapons Guy's been bulldozing his way through the midcard. I'd say he's ready to prove himself as top-tier material. Goemon's also a top ten competitor, and might make a good candidate for a title shot. Of course, there's still the question of whether or not that dark match was canon. If it counts toward the power rankings, then I'd say the Mystical Ninja's definitely ready for prime time.

Guile's made his ambitions toward getting a title shot clear. And Bowser is the strongest foe not to be involved in the Elimination Chamber. Of course, there's still the question of who else the Practice are scouting for potential borging...

If Heavy isn't quite ready for a title shot, then we could always bet on Duke. Waluigi could be the first step he needs to bring himself back to the limelight.

Bowser vs. Guile vs. Heavy vs. Goemon
Bearing in mind that Bowser is terrible at multi man matches while Goemon is really good at them, I fear this could get unfair.

In fact, all of these wrestlers have won their last multi man fight EXCEPT Bowser.

But on the other hand, it sounds like a great match up. And if Kefka can pull off a win in the elimination chamber, I wouldn't count Bowser out before seeing him.

Thought I would bring up that Ultimate Warrior was Intercontinental Champion when he beat Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship at WM 6 and :airman: is ranked #2.

Keep in mind that there was a decent amount of time in which the Casual Champion has ranked higher than the VGCW Champion, because Red held on to the belt for so long.

Upon seeing the updated power rankings, I'd keep on Bowser, Guile, and Heavy. Then we can have a Goemon vs. Duke match to determine the fourth man in the matchup.

Of course, Kefka still has to have his match with Scorpion first, and who knows when that will happen.
